Abstract

The basic problem of development is equity to the smallest lines. This homework is not only the responsibility of the village government, but is an obligation for all people. Efforts to increase development need a continuous awareness building, covering various aspects and all parties. For rural people who still have many limitations, a simpler pattern is needed in creating a movement of empowerment. To facilitate development access for the community. Through the process of self-reflection which includes the stages of sensory knowledge, the stage of reasoning, and the stage of the ratio of Gedangsewu UMKM activists can begin to build awareness. All the step are the basis for managing the movement of empowerment based on development morality. With awareness-based activities, activists are able to interpret collective challenges, in order to create common purpose, by strengthening collective solidarity and identity, in order to preserve political resistance from a lifestyle that clings to a system that is rolling. Then efforts need to create independence from the mind to the step of empowerment.

Abstract

Abstract

The portrait of religious life within the pluralistic society of Kayen Kidul Subdistrict, particularly in Jambu Village, Sumberejo Hamlet, Kediri Regency, serves as the focus of this study. The community, consisting of adherents of Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, and Hinduism, coexists to foster harmonization in religious practices. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation complemented by audiovisual materials. The research subjects were determined through purposive sampling, selecting participants based on criteria from each religious group. The analysis utilizes Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of habitus as a framework to understand the phenomenon of harmonization amid the diversity of Sumberejo Hamlet. The findings reveal that social cohesion is shaped through the community’s habitus, reflected in collective participation in social activities and involvement in interfaith religious practices. Tolerance, supported by social, economic, cultural, and symbolic capital, enables the emergence of local cultural richness and diversity. This study contributes significantly to understanding how habitus shapes interfaith interactions and illustrates the mechanisms through which social cohesion and mutual respect are maintained in a pluralistic rural community, while simultaneously preserving the distinct cultural and religious identities of each group.

Abstract

The presence of COVID-19 has shocked the entire world community. Each sector bears its own impact. The village community is no exception, which only works with their locality. The Kampung Adat Segunung community in Jombang Regency is also experiencing upheaval, especially in the economic sector. The area which has just been named a tourist village in 2019, must hold back the economy that is being pioneered by the community. Here, the hope of becoming an advanced tourist village must be restrained by the restrictions imposed by the government, as a prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Nevertheless, economic activity must continue, for the sake of meeting needs and achieving goals. Through the concept of rational choice from James S. Coleman, various steps taken by the Kampung Adat Segunung community are explained to maintain their economic growth. With a phenomenological approach, it explores the roles of actors in managing existing resources, and utilizes the norms they have as a basis for building stability. The Kampung Adat Segunung actors are driven by village tourism managers and MSME actors. The steps taken are to explore the potential of plantations and livestock to become superior products. So that it can support the potential of locality resources that have been managed, such as Omah Kopi, Omah Jamu, river tourism, etc.. The management of this potential is carried out with the principle of gotong royong, namely working together and highlighting the value of solidarity as the norm that is held. This practice is carried out not only by the main actors, but also collectively by the community.

Abstract

Rural tourism development often faces challenges in the modern era. Management requires strategic steps that are adaptive to the times. Alaska Tourism in Tempurejo Wates Kediri village has limitations in promotion to stabilize its existence amidst the development of tourist villages in various places. To create independence in promotion and existence, videography training was held. This empowerment process was carried out using the Participatory Rural Appraisal method and social capital analysis from Francis Fukuyama. The empowerment was done collaboratively between Alaska Tourism managers and UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri to support tourism promotion through social media. It began with building trust between facilitators and managers through context understanding and FGD discussions, until mutual affection was established, making the training process easier. Strengthened by social networking with UKM Foster UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri. The training results in videos uploaded on Alaska Tourism's social media, namely on TikTok and Facebook.
