Abstract

Science process skills in the bryophyte sub-material require improvement, one of which is by implementing the discovery learning model. This is because when students learn they only focus on presenting monotonous material. So the psychomotor aspect of the assessment was not carried out. So this research aims to determine the influence and responses of students in the discovery learning model on students' science process skills in the bryophyta sub-material. The design in this research uses an experimental class with the discovery learning model applied and the control class uses conventional learning. The population in this research is all Class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Beringin with a sample of class X-1 as the control class and class By using data collection techniques in the form of pretest and posttest test sheets. Data analysis techniques were carried out using descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analysis techniques. As for the results obtained from the results of science process activities, the average posttest score in the experimental class was 66, while in the control class, it was 46.5. Data analysis using the paired samples test shows that sig < 0.05 with a sig value of 0.00 < 0.05 with a t-count value of 20.784 and t-table 2.01 in discovery learning so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that learning using the discovery learning model affects increasing students' science process activities in the bryophyta sub-material.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah  untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Riset ini ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan tipe riset yang diterapkan ialah kuasi eksperimen. Desain eksperimen ini adalah versi yang dikembangkan dari True Eksperimental Desain menggunakan soal tes awal dan tes akhir. Populasi dalam studi ini adalah semua siswa kelas IV MIN 4 Kota Medan sebanyak 4 kelas. Sampel yang diambil dalam riset ini adalah kelas IV-C dan IV-D. Kelas IV-C adalah kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV-D adalah kelas kontrol. Penentuan sampel dengan teknik random sampling. Hasil riset menunjukkan adanya dampak penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika. Ini terbukti sehingga dari hasil penelitian uji hipotesis (uji-t) hasil signifikan diperoleh 0,174 < 0,05. Hasil perhitungan uji-t sebesar 6,327 dapat dilihat dari nilai  ≥  yaitu 6,327 > 2,0075.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the multiliteracy learning model on student learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning at SDN 112271 Siamporik. This research is quantitative research. The population used in this research were all class V students at SDN 112271 Siamporik, Kualauh Selatan District, North Labuhanbatu Regency, namely 40 students. The sampling technique in this research is using Non Probability Sampling with a total sampling method. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the paired sample t test, it is known that the tailed sig-2 value is 0.024 in the control class and the tailed sig-2 value in the experimental class is 0.002, this value is <0.05 (significant level) therefore In this research, there is a difference in the average student learning outcomes for the Control Class Pre-Test and the Control Class Post-Test and there is also a difference in the average student learning outcomes for the Experimental Class Pre-Test and the Experimental Class Post-Test and based on the results of independent testing sample t test, it is known that the 2-tailed significant value is 0.000 and this value is (0.000) < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average student learning outcomes between the learning model and the conventional model (other than the multiliteracy learning model) and from the table in The above also shows that the average Post-Test score for the Experimental Class (multiliteracy learning model) compared to the Post-Test score for the Control Class (Conventional) has increased, so it can also be concluded that the multiliteracy learning model is more effective in student learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning. rather than conventional learning models (apart from multiliteracy learning models).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) learning model on mathematics learning outcomes in percent material in class IV SDIT Al-Fauzi, Medan City. This research uses quantitative field research methods and uses a pre-test and post-test control group design. 22 students from class IV-A were used as the control class and 22 students from class IV-B were used as the experimental class. Multiple choice test instruments are used to determine students' level of knowledge. The t-test is used to analyze research hypothesis data. The one-way anova test is used to analysis homogeneity data. By using one-way analysis of variance with a significance level of 0.05, the sig value is 0.000, which means 0.000 is less than 0.05. This situation shows that the STEAM learning model has a significant impact. In the experimental class, students obtained an average learning result of 81.45 with a difference in pre-test and post-test scores of 52.04. Meanwhile in the control class, students obtained an average learning outcome of 67.90. Therefore, the application of the STEAM model has a significant impact on the learning outcomes of students at SDIT Al-Fauzi Medan City in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Student Worksheets (LKPD) are one of the teaching materials that play an important role in the learning process. In the data structure of mathematics subjects, LKPD is CTL-based with square and rectangular shapes. This research was conducted on grade IV students of SDN 106161 Laut Dendang. Elementary school students in the fourth grade were used as research participants. This study uses an analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) model. The results of this study can be seen and proven by using the Likert scale to assess the material and aspects that are still being developed, namely: a) Validity that gets a score (4.8) from media experts and (4.43) from experts in materials. b) Efficiency, i.e. obtaining a score of 3.96 from students and 4.6 from teachers. c) Fairness of use of estimated N-Gain reaches value 0.8110. The study's findings, students' enthusiasm in learning math about square and rectangular shapes should be made easier for educators and prospective teachers. In addition, this development is expected to help students gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter they are learning, thereby increasing their interest in CTL-based LKPD exercises.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that develops thinking and problem solving abilities which have a very important role in students' daily lives. Mathematical objects are abstract so media is needed to explain this. One of the media that can be used is the Multiplication Board (PaPer) media. This research aims to develop and test the effectiveness of this media in improving students' multiplication abilities in class II. The method used is RnD (Research and Development) using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model. Data collection techniques use observation techniques, test interviews and teacher and student questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative data from observations and interviews. And quantitative data based on pretest-posttest results. The product developed was then tested for the suitability of the multiplication board media which was assessed by media experts with a score of 92% and material experts with a score of 93.7%. placing it in the category of very valid or very suitable for use. The increase in students' multiplication skills can be seen from the pretest score of 49% and post-test score of 90.9%. Thus, this multiplication board media is considered relevant and suitable for use in this research. Apart from that, positive responses were obtained from teachers with scores 96% and from students with average scores 97,1% effective in improving students' multiplication abilities

Abstract

Education is a horizontal and important need for a better future. The transformation of education today has changed because education does not only transfer knowledge, nor is education centered only on teachers. Based on the results of the researcher's observations of the learning process carried out at SDN Alue Merbau, it is known that the mathematics learning process is still considered centered on teachers. Therefore, to improve the mathematics learning process at SDN Alue Merbau, variations and innovations in teaching materials are needed when compiling creativity-based LKPD. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development or R&D), which produces products in the form of creativity-based LKPD and is located at SDN Alue Merbau. The results of the study showed that the development of creativity-based LKPD on the material of the properties of flat shapes at SDN Alue Merbau was considered to have provided an alternative for teachers to improve the ability to solve mathematical problems experienced by students. The development of creativity-based LKPD on the material of the properties of flat shapes at SDN Alue Merbau has provided an alternative for teachers to improve the ability to solve mathematical problems experienced by students. This development research has produced creativity-based mathematics LKPD. Mathematics LKPD on the material of the properties of plane shapes has undergone validity testing by teachers as practitioners.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Role of Parents in Increasing Interest in Reading in Class II MIN Children in Medan". The aim of this research is to find out: (1) what is the interest in reading of class II elementary school students in MIN 5 Medan City, and (2) what is the role of parents in fostering children's interest in reading. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method where researchers collect data in both written and oral form from related informants. The data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. In the data collection process, researchers used 3 data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of the research data reveal that the role of parents in cultivating children's interest in reading has a very important role, namely by explaining: (1) Interest in reading in class II children in MIN 5 Medan City can be said to have grown quite well because of the role of parents who help them in cultivating an interest in reading. This can be seen from students who feel happy about reading books, getting reading facilities that suit their needs, parents who create reading activities at home, and children's interest in reading. (2) The role of parents in cultivating interest in reading in class II children in Medan is by setting aside some of their time, becoming facilitators, encouraging children, providing study guides, and observing children's reading development.

Abstract

Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk melihat kelayakan modul praktikum biologi berbasis keterampilan sains untuk kelas X MA/SMA di MAS Mawaridussalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Borg & Gall. Tahapan penelitian dibagi menjadi tujuh, yaitu studi pendahuluan, perencanaan, pengembangan desain produk, validasi dan uji coba terbatas, revisi hasil uji lapangan terbatas, uji produk secara luas, dan revisi hasil uji lapangan lebih luas. Jenis data pada penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket validasi materi, media, dan tafsir Al Qur’an, serta angket respon guru dan siswa. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi diperoleh hasil 75% dengan kriteria layak, validasi ahli media diperoleh hasil 91,66% dengan kriteria sangat layak, validasi ahli tafsir Al Qur’an diperoleh hasil 81,25% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Setelah dilakukan validasi produk ke dosen ahli kemudian produk diuji cobakan ke guru biologi dan peserta didik. Pada respon guru biologi diperoleh hasil 93,75% dengan kriteria sangat layak, dan respon peserta didik terhadap modul yang dikembangkan diperoleh hasil 96% dinyatakan dalam kriteria sangat layak. Dengan demikian, modul yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the mathematics learning process. Educators sometimes do not use varied learning models, so students experience boredom in the learning process. Apart from that, teachers still use conventional learning methods which direct the learning process more from the teacher to the students. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the student facilitator and explaining learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students. The design of this research is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group. The population studied in this research were all students from class I to class VI, totaling 142 people. The sample in this study used a non-probability technique with purposive sampling, namely a technique for determining samples selected based on certain criteria. The sample consisted of two classes V-A and V-B at SD Al-Ittihadiyah consisting of 38 students. The data collection techniques used by researchers are documentation and tests, namely giving pre-tests and post-tests. The research results, as determined by an independent t-test, showed that the average value for the experimental class was 76.86 with a standard deviation of 9.372. The average value for the control class is 67.82 with a standard deviation of 9.926. This shows that the average score for students in the experimental class who participated in the student facilitator and explaining learning model showed a higher level of improvement in their academic performance compared to students in the control class, who received conventional teaching. The sig (2-tailed) value of 0.007 is smaller than 0.005, which indicates that there is a statistically significant impact of the student facilitator and explaining learning model on students' academic achievement in mathematics at Al-Ittihadiyah Elementary School
