Abstract

Sebagai negara kepulauan, sistem pengangkutan laut yang efisien dan terkelola dengan baik merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam persaingan ekonomi serta integritas nasional. Pelabuhan menjadi sarana paling penting untuk menghubungkan antar pulau maupun antar negara. Namun ironisnya kondisi pelabuhan di Provinsi Riau sangat memprihatinkan ditambah lagi dengan dibangunnya jembatan yang melintasi alur Sungai Siak yang mengakibatkan kapal-kapal yang mempunyai ketinggian diatas 17 meter tidak dapat melintasi alur sungai Siak, maka Provinsi Riau membutuhkan pelabuhan yang menjadi prioritas untuk dikembangkan serta manajemen strategi pengembangan pelabuhan tersebut. Pada penelitian ini akan menentukan prioritas lokasi pelabuhan yang akan dikembangkan dengan analisis SMART, kemudian menggunakan analisis TOWS untuk menghasilkan alternatif strategi terhadap lokasi pelabuhan terpilih dan menggunakan analisis QSPM untuk menetapkan prioritas strategi yang akan dipilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pelabuhan Tanjung Buton adalah lokasi yang paling prioritas untuk dikembangkan di Provinsi Riau dengan empat rumusan strategi yang dapat dikombinasikan dan dikembangkan bersama yaitu mengoptimalkan kawasan pelabuhan, meningkatkan pelayanan agar dapat memiliki daya saing, pembenahan system informasi dan peningkatan pengelolaan, mengembangkan SDM dengan perekrutan dan program pelatihan.Kata kunci: analisis  SMART, analisis TOWS, analisis QSPM

Abstract

Universities worldwide have recognized the significance of assessing students' language abilities to ensure they can actively participate in academic discourse. However, many universities do not have institution-based English proficiency test yet. The aim of the research is to explore the significances of developing university-based English proficiency test, the essential steps involved in crafting it, and challenges in developing a robust institution's English proficiency test. The method used in this research is library research. The results underscore the critical role of an English proficiency test in ensuring academic excellence, promoting global communication, and preparing students for success in an increasingly interconnected world. Developing a well-structured and reliable English proficiency assessment tool starts with a decision to provide a test, developing the test, and followed by those stages connected with test use. Nevertheless, defining test objective and ensuring test validity, choosing the right format, ensuring fairness and inclusivity, preparing substantial cost and resources, adapting for specific contexts are challenges in developing it. In sum, universities can develop a robust English proficiency test by having collaboration with language experts, assessment specialists, and educators, as well as adherence to established principles of language testing and assessment .

Abstract

Self-access learning materials are essential for English proficiency test preparation to enhance learners’ success inachieving desired language proficiency levels. This research explores the development of self-access training materials specificallydesigned for English proficiency test preparation. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with theADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Validations from experts in design,content, and language, alongside feedback from students and lecturers, confirmed that the developed training materials metestablished criteria for good quality training materials. The result of this research can later be employed as a resource material forlearners and educators to support learners in achieving required English language proficiency.

Abstract

Berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan penting yang membantu siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan kehidupan nyata. Pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa untuk menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan memecahkan masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) menekankan pemecahan masalah nyata sebagai inti pembelajaran, sementara PowerPoint interaktif digunakan sebagai media pendukung untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbantu PowerPoint interaktif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 25 Palembang yang menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, angket kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji statistik untuk membandingkan hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbantu PowerPoint interaktif berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model ini menunjukkan peningkatan dalam menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan menyelesaikan masalah dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model PBL dan PowerPoint interaktif dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Just-In-Time (JIT) is an inventory management strategy that aims to reduce waste and increase efficiency in the production process. In the context of manufacturing companies, the implementation of JIT offers significant advantages, such as reduced inventory costs and improved product quality. However, the implementation of JIT also faces challenges, including dependence on suppliers and fluctuations in demand. This article not only discusses the benefits and challenges of JIT, but also presents case studies of several companies that have successfully implemented this concept. By highlighting best practices and risk mitigation strategies, it is hoped that this research can provide deeper insights into the application of JIT in inventory management, as well as encourage companies to adopt a more responsive and efficient approach in their operations.
