Abstract

Electronic modules are electronic learning media that are systematically arranged and include competencies that will be mastered by students and are equipped with an attractive appearance. Problem-based learning is a learning strategy that focuses on improving students' ability to learn and collaborate in groups to find solutions to problems in the surrounding environment. This study aims to describe the implementation of learning and student activities using e-modules based on problem-based learning of digestive system material. This study used the research and development (R&D) method modified by Sugiyono (2017). Data collection techniques used observation sheets of learning implementation and student activity sheets. The problem-based learning e-module trial was conducted on a limited scale. The subjects in this study were 15 students of Class XI 1 SMA Negeri 1 Tapa. The results of the study found that the practicality test based on the percentage of learning implementation was 88.7% in the "very good" category and student activity was 91.6% in the "very good" category. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the e-module based on problem-based learning of digestive system material has met the practical criteria so it is feasible to use in biology learning.

Abstract

This study aims to the determine the application of metacognitive knowledge-based learning on students’ learning outcomes in heredity material grade IXth at Junior High School of SMP Negeri 1 Talaga Jaya. This study employs a quantitative descriptive approach, utilizing a pre-experimental design that includes a single group pretest and posttest design. The subjects consist of grade IXth-group 1 during the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, comprising a total of 30 students. The instruments used in this study consisted of questions based on metacognitive knowledge, lesson plans students’ worksheet, teacher activity sheet, and student activity sheet. The research data are analyzed using the formula of teacher ativity, student activity, individual completeness, pretest and posttest average scores, and students’ N-gain. The result showed that the scores of students’ learning outcomes increased, as observable from the posttest scores, which were higher than the pretest scores. The pretest score obtained at the first meeting was 28.53 and the posttest was 75.07. In the second meeting the pretest score was 21.27 and the posttest was 77.00 for the third meeting the pretest score was 27.00 and the posttest was 78,06. In addition, the N-gain score of students at the first meeting was 0.65 or in the medium category, in the second meeting was 0.71 an in the third meeting was 0.71 or in the high categories

Abstract

This study was an experimental study to determine the effect of the toxicity of Jatropha curcas L. leaf filtrate on the mortality of the Pomacea canaliculata (golden snail). Pomacea canaliculata as many as 240 tails aged 7 days after hatching is the object of research. A completely randomized design of 6 (treatment) and 4 (replication) was used in this study. Data was collected by observing the golden snail every hour for 24 hours. ANAVA and BNT analysis to calculate research data. Calculation of 50% mortality of research objects using LC50. The ANAVA results are Fcount 434.160 > Ftable 2.64. The findings indicated that the filtrate from Jatropha curcas leaves had toxicity on golden snail mortality. The concentration of jatropha leaf filtrate that can kill the golden snail is 7% based on calculations with LC50. This concentration was able to kill half of the golden snails tested.

Abstract

This research was conducted in class XII IPA 1 SMA N 1 Suwawa with the aim of knowing the literacy knowledge of students through the application of the Numbered Head Together cooperative learning model. The model used in this research is the Classroom Action Research Kemmis and Tagart models using 3 cycles, with research stages namely a) Planning, b) Implementation or action, c) Observation, d) Reflection. Based on the analytical instruments and analysis of scientific literacy-based learning outcomes, it can be seen that the NHT type cooperative learning model can increase students' scientific literacy knowledge which includes 3 indicators including scientific question assistance, explaining phenomena scientifically, and using scientific evidence , this is evidenced by improvements in the activities of teachers and students, as well as the improvement of learning outcomes achieved. The application of the NHT learning model can increase students' scientific literacy knowledge, because the application of the NHT learning model can help train and increase students' scientific literacy knowledge, especially in metabolic materials. The characteristics of metabolic substances which generally require more understanding can be complemented by the application of the NHT learning model which precipitates cooperation and sharing between peers which also requires responsibility for oneself due to random calling of noor. The advantages of the NHT learning model are that it can improve student achievement, are able to deepen student understanding, train student responsibility, delight students in learning, develop student curiosity and increase self-confidence also help increase students' scientific literacy knowledge because it involves students with their learning environment, and thinking activities together

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' science process skills through practicum method on cell material for class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Tapa. The research method used quasi-experimental, a posttest-only non-equivalent control group design. Data collection was performed through observation sheets and test questions. The data analysis used is the t-test. According to research conducted in class XI IPA 1 using the practicum method, students in the experimental class had an average science process skill score of 79%. In contrast, students in the control class, which did not use the practicum method, had an average of 55%. Therefore, the science process skills of students in the experimental class are higher than those in the control class due to the use of the practicum method. Teachers guide students in activities during the learning process by asking open-ended questions that spark a discussion. Students are therefore required to be active, creative, and able to collaborate during the learning process to meet the learning objectives and understand the concepts being taught easily.
