Abstract

The digital revolution in education, particularly in higher education, has led to the widespread adoption of online learning platforms like Learning Management Systems (LMS). The Faculty of Health at Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani Yogyakarta has embraced this trend, employing Moodle for blended learning. However, there has been a lack of formal evaluation of students' experiences with the LMS. This research aims to fill this gap by comprehensively evaluating the user experience and learning experience of students within the Faculty of Health using the Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework. The study collected data from 201 respondents and analyzed their experiences across various CoI domains. Results indicated positive perceptions of teaching presence, social presence, and cognitive presence, with teaching presence scoring the highest. However, social presence remained the lowest aspect, highlighting the need for more personalized engagement on the LMS. While the study identified areas for improvement, it also underscored the LMS's potential in modern learning and its role in enhancing the flexibility of higher education. Further research was recommended to address the study's limitations and continue improving online learning experiences on the LMS.

However, the optimal development of EMR remains a challenge. This community service aims to provide counseling on EMR development strategies based on SWOT analysis and digital maturity. This activity is a dissemination of research findings conducted in 2022 regarding EMR development. The method used was community education through counseling provided to the heads of departments and medical record staff of Bethesda Hospital regarding EMR development strategies. The evaluation results showed that Bethesda Hospital’s digital maturity level is at level 4 (EMRAM). Therefore, a more aggressive EMR development strategy is recommended, leveraging existing strengths and opportunities, to enhance the digital maturity level of EMR to support clinical decision-making and patient safety.

Abstract

Background: Clinical coding accuracy is a vital factor in the financial stability of hospitals under the BPJS Health casemix system. Errors in clinical coding frequently lead to pending claims, which hinder the hospital's cash flow. Objective: This study aims to analyze the underlying causes of casemix coding issues in pending claims for BPJS Health patients at Hospital X. Method: This research employed a descriptive analytical method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five informants, consisting of two clinical coders, one casemix coordinator, and two physicians, as well as document observations of medical records and claim regulations. Result: The findings indicated a pending claim rate of 10.2%, with 33.3% of these cases caused specifically by clinical coding errors. The primary causes were categorized into three factors: (1) Human Resources, involving low coder competency in ICD-10/9-CM guidelines and medical pathognomonics; (2) Documentation Process, including incomplete medical resumes and a lack of clinical evidence provided by physicians; and (3) System, characterized by the infrequent socialization of the latest claim regulations and technical agreements. Conclusion: Accuracy in casemix coding is highly dependent on the synergy between comprehensive clinical documentation and the coder's expertise. Hospitals are recommended to implement continuous professional training and routine medical audits to minimize financial risks.
