Abstract

This study aims to improve digital communication and mental health support through the KALM application by developing more inclusive, user-centered, and psychologically impactful digital mental health services to meet the growing demand for mental health care in urban and rural areas. Using a qualitative approach, literature review and observation methods were applied to collect relevant data from scholarly articles, reports, books, and direct observations of the KALM platform. The findings indicate that KALM has great potential to improve communication between counselors and clients through features such as chat sessions, video calls, and offline counseling. Approximately 80% of users reported feeling more comfortable using this platform compared to face-to-face counseling. The digital campaign #KitaPerluCerita has also been effective in reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and raising public awareness. Additional features like the Gratitude Journal and Well-being Tracker play a significant role in enhancing clients' mental well-being. However, the study identified some challenges, such as internet connectivity issues and counselors' scheduling limitations. The KALM application proves to be effective in providing accessible counseling services and supporting mental health improvement for the Indonesian community, although certain technical issues need to be addressed in the future.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore how the digital media ecosystem reconfigures family communication practices in the era of technological convergence and creates spaces for meaning negotiation between children and parents. Based on the Media Ecology Theory proposed by Marshall McLuhan and Neil Postman, media are understood not merely as technical channels, but as symbolic environments that shape patterns of interaction within households. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and documentation of digital interactions among five families in Bengkulu City. The findings reveal that digital media generates simultaneous, dynamic, and often ambiguous communication patterns, where family members are frequently physically present but psychologically detached (absent presence). The boundaries between private and public spaces have become increasingly blurred as personal devices penetrate intimate family settings. Meaning negotiation emerges continuously in defining rules for gadget use, maintaining emotional closeness, and preserving parental authority in an environment saturated with mediated experiences. Parents often struggle to balance control and trust, whereas children assert their autonomy in the digital sphere. These dynamics sometimes lead to tensions and misunderstandings, but also open opportunities for more dialogic and reflective engagements. This study underscores the importance of developing critical family media literacy as an adaptive strategy to mitigate the risks of dysfunctional communication and cultivate healthier, more intentional patterns of interaction. Strengthening media literacy within families can empower parents and children to navigate the complexities of technological convergence with greater awareness and mutual understanding.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan promosi dan pencitraan merek (branding) pariwisata Desa Panca Mukti melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi desain grafis Canva. Desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Pondok Kelapa, Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah ini memiliki potensi unggulan di bidang pertanian, perikanan, peternakan, agrowisata, dan khususnya batik tenun khas daerah yang belum banyak dikenal publik. Sayangnya keterbatasan anggaran, minimnya dukungan pemerintah daerah, dan kurangnya sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kemampuan desain menjadi kendala utama dalam pengembangan branding destinasi. Melalui kegiatan ini, masyarakat diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam pembuatan materi promosi digital yang menarik, seperti poster, katalog produk, dan konten media sosial dengan menggunakan Canva secara praktis dan kreatif. Kegiatan ini melibatkan remaja desa Panca Mukti yang berjumlah 30 orang. Pendekatan partisipatif yang digunakan tidak hanya bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan, tetapi juga untuk memastikan keberlanjutan praktik branding yang telah diperkenalkan. Diharapkan hasil kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan interaksi digital, memperluas jangkauan promosi, dan memperkuat posisi Desa Panca Mukti sebagai destinasi wisata unggulan yang menampilkan perpaduan antara kekayaan alam, budaya lokal, dan produk kreatif khas desa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis simbolisme dalam Mobile Suit Gundam dengan fokus pada karakter Gundam Epyon dan relevansinya dengan pembelajaran desain komunikasi visual. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Charles Sanders Pierce sebagai kerangka analisis. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi berbagai aspek visual Gundam Epyon dan dianalisis menggunakan konsep teoritis semiotika Pierce. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa elemen desain fisik, atribut, dan simbol dalam Gundam Epyon menyampaikan pesan visual yang kompleks dan bermakna, sehingga memengaruhi interpretasi penonton terhadap karakter Mobile Suit. Desain fisik Gundam Epyon yang didominasi warna hitam dengan aksen emas dan merah, serta bentuk yang aerodinamis dengan potongan yang lancip menimbulkan kesan kekuatan, keberanian, dan kemewahan yang mempengaruhi persepsi pengamatnya. Selain itu, atribut seperti panah tersembunyi di punggung dan senjata pedang energi menambah dimensi strategis dan agresif pada interpretasi Gundam Epyon sebagai Mobile Suit pertarungan. Simbolisme lambang naga dan bendera OZ juga memberikan konteks sejarah dan ideologi yang mendalam, menambah kompleksitas dan kedalaman makna pada interpretasi pemirsa.

Abstract

This study aims is to identify and analyze the innovations applied in creative entrepreneurship to support the management of cultural tourism at Borobudur. The focus is on understanding how creative entrepreneurship can contribute to both the growth of tourism and the preservation of cultural heritage at this iconic site This research employs a qualitative approach, relying on literature studies related to creative entrepreneurship and cultural tourism. Additionally, field observations were conducted to examine the practices of tourism management at the Borobudur site, particularly in relation to cultural events, digital marketing strategies, and sustainable tourism efforts. The study revealed that innovations in digital marketing, the organization of cultural events, and the management of ecotourism play significant roles in attracting tourists while simultaneously preserving cultural values. These innovations have proven effective in enhancing the visitor experience and increasing awareness about the importance of cultural heritage preservation. The findings suggest that entrepreneurial innovations can strengthen the economic sustainability of cultural tourism by actively involving the local community and expanding the reach to international markets. This approach not only drives economic growth but also contributes to the long-term development of the tourism sector, creating a model that can be replicated in other cultural tourism destinations.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe how the leadership style and communication patterns of Islamic foundation leader in managing organizations, especially in Tahfidz Abdurrahman Al-Fatih Bengkulu City. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. The type of research used is Field Research (field research) by directly visiting and seeking information directly from the situation where the research was conducted. Data collection in this study was carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation. From the research results, it was found that Ustad Ilham Rahmatun Putra as the leader of Tahfidz Abdurrahman Al-Fatih has his own leadership style and communication pattern in managing organization. Leadership Style which is owned by Ustad Ilham including including The Structuring Style, The Relinquishing Style, and The Equalitarian Style. By implementing these three leadership styles, Tahfidz Abdurrahman Al-Fatih grow and gain the trust of various parties. The communication pattern that occurs in Tahfidz Abdurrahman Al-Fatih is a wheel pattern, so that the leadership power is in a central position and is influential in the process of delivering the message where all running information must first be conveyed to the leadership. In addition, the message flow that occurs in an organizational network includes downward communication, upward communication, horizontal communication, and cross-channel communication.

Abstract

This study examines the role of innovation diffusion in health communication through social media platforms and radio broadcasts by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, focusing on the Healthy Family Talkshow program. The research uses Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovation theory to assess how health information is disseminated and adopted across different audience segments. The program, broadcast on Instagram (@kemenkes_ri) and the Ministry of Health's radio network, aims to provide credible, relevant, and easily understood health information. A content analysis of 35 Instagram posts and radio broadcasts from October to November 2024 was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of communication and its impact on audience perceptions and behaviors. The findings indicate that the program successfully addressed key health topics, such as disease prevention, vaccination, and healthy lifestyles, reaching a broad audience. The dual-platform approach offered flexibility, allowing individuals to choose their preferred communication channel, which led to high engagement through views, comments, and shares. However, the study also identified challenges, including technological barriers, limited internet access in rural areas, which affected participation, and demographic disparities in adoption rates. Younger, more educated audiences adopted the information more quickly, while older individuals required additional support to implement health recommendations. Despite these challenges, the findings demonstrate the potential of integrating social media and radio to enhance health communication. This research underscores the importance of addressing technological and demographic gaps to improve the effectiveness of health information dissemination. The study provides valuable insights for developing inclusive health communication strategies to increase public health awareness and drive behavioral change.

Abstract

The demands of the current era encourage the world of education to become more innovative. Implementing an independent curriculum is one form of implementation and answer to these challenges. However, the use of the merdeka curriculum that occurred in 2021 invited many types of opinions, one of which was from students. This research aims to describe the perceptions of class 12 students at SMA Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali towards arts and culture subjects in the context of the Independent Curriculum. The research method used is qualitative, with a focus on the interpretation of social phenomena based on interview data, observation and documentation. The research results show that students' enthusiasm for learning in arts and culture subjects varies, influenced by internal and external factors such as art experience, views on the relevance of the subject, and teachers' teaching methods. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum provides new opportunities for arts and culture learning experiences, but also gives rise to diverse opinions about its relevance in the modern era. The role of teachers as facilitators in developing students' interests and talents is recognized as important, but the Pancasila Student Profile program also raises questions about the relevance of arts and culture subjects. In conclusion, students' opinions about arts and culture subjects in the Independent Curriculum are influenced by various factors, and this understanding can make an important contribution to future curriculum development.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) has become a major focus in enhancing the media user experience by integrating digital elements into real environments. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of AR technology in increasing user interaction and engagement in a media context, as well as identifying challenges that need to be overcome. Ubu research uses literature study methods to explore various sources of information relevant to the topic. Research findings show that the use of AR in media, such as digital advertising, social media, gaming industry, and education, has resulted in increased user engagement and effectiveness of media content. However, there are still technical obstacles, such as hardware availability and privacy concerns, that limit the mass adoption of AR technology. Therefore data protection and user awareness need to be improved to minimize the risks associated with AR use. By continuing to develop AR technology and overcome existing challenges, we can maximize the potential of this technology in improving the media user experience in the future.   Keywords: Augmented Reality, Media, Technology   Augmented Reality (AR) telah menjadi fokus utama dalam meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna media dengan mengintegrasikan elemen-elemen digital ke dalam lingkungan nyata. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis peran teknologi AR dalam meningkatkan interaksi dan keterlibatan pengguna dalam konteks media, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan yang perlu diatasi. Penelitian ubu menggunakan metode studi literatur untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai sumber informasi yang relevan dengan topik. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AR dalam media, seperti iklan digital, media sosial, industri game, dan pendidikan, telah menghasilkan peningkatan keterlibatan pengguna dan efektivitas konten media. Namun, masih ada kendala teknis, seperti ketersediaan perangkat keras dan masalah privasi, yang membatasi adopsi massal teknologi AR. Oleh karena itu perlindungan data dan kesadaran pengguna perlu ditingkatkan untuk meminimalkan risiko yang terkait dengan penggunaan AR. Dengan terus mengembangkan teknologi AR dan mengatasi tantangan yang ada, kita dapat memaksimalkan potensi teknologi ini dalam meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna media di masa depan.   Kata Kunci: Augmented Reality, Media, Teknologi

Abstract

Memilih strategi komunikasi merupakan langkah penting yang memerlukan pendekatan yang cermat dalam perencanaannya, karena jika strategi yang dipilih salah maka hasil yang diperoleh bisa berakibat fatal terutama kerugian uang, waktu, materi dan tenaga. Dalam sebuat strategi, ada empat langkah penting yang perlu dilaksanakan diantaranya yakni perencanaan (planning), pengorganisasian (organizing), pelaksanaan (actuiting), dan pengawasan/evaluasi (controlling). Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan dasar teoritis tentang strategi komunikasi kepemimpinan dan dapat membantu para pemimpinan untuk bisa menerapkan strategi komunikasi kepemimpinan dalam melaksanakan tugas dan kewajiban sebagai seorang pemimpin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi kepemimpinan bertujuan untuk mengamankan pemahaman, menetapkan penerimaan serta memotivasikan tindakan. Seorang pemimpin harus mempunyai strategi yang baik dalam melaksanakan tugas serta memikul tanggung jawab yang dibebankan dalam rangka mempertahankan eksistensi serta perkembangan suatu perusahaan maupun organisasi yang dipimpinnya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi kepemimpinan yang baik akan menghasilkan sebuah kepemimpinan yang berhasil.
