Abstract

God has established His church on the earth purposefully. One of God’s purposes in establishing His chruch is that the church can provide the answers for the very complex needs of this earth. This research is being conducted in order to discover the biblical model of the church’s ministries wholelistically using the roles and function of church leadership that are mentioned in the New Testament. The approach methode that is being used in this research, is exploring New Testament texts related to leadership role in the early church. The early Christian church was equiped with the roles of appostle, deacon and elder, each with their own responsibilities that complement each other in order to create wholistic ministry in the church.

Abstract

This article examines the proper names in the New Testamment including the study of those etymologies and terminologies. The study in this article is related to the linguistic history in Miditeranian sea surrounding areasthat have become the writting locus of New Testamment original text. The discussion has been conducted with linguistic and historical approaches in both biblical and geographical context. From the research that has been undergone, there is an important fact that there was a language development history in the area arround Miditeranian sea. The usage of Greek language as the language of New Testament is strongly connected to the history of the Greece in that area. The names in New Testamment show that there were various languages that had been existed and used in NT written locus. NT reports that there are various names from several different languages related to the history of that area such as Hebrew, Aramic, Latin and Greek.

Abstract

Incarnation is a central teaching in the doctrine of Christology. This topic has become a complex concept to be explained. For centuries this topic has been disputed by whether Christian scholars or the opposite of Christianity parties. Apologetic regarding the incarnation of Christ becomes very important for the Church in history. This article elaborates on the concept of logos (the Word) that has presented as a human being, known as an incarnation. The Methodology that has been used in this article were relevance literature study, textual exegeses, and an interpretation based on hermeneutic principles. From the examination that has been conducted, the author inverted that the incarnation is the chosen “way” for God to reveal the salvation for human beings. Incarnation is the revelation of God as transcendence being become immanence being. This God’s work has been done to provide relationships and atonement for human beings.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Mark 2:26 is one of the most disputed texts. The text's pivotal problem is around the accuracy between Jesus' narration and the historical facts in the Old Testament (1 Sam. 21:1-6). This discrepancy implies the authority of Christology and Bibliology in the Christian faith. This research was conducted to examine the text in order to answer the disputes around the text. The authors used a qualitative descriptive research method in this research with a textual criticism approach. The research approaches covered textual history, text's authorship history, and text's grammatical analysis. This research found that there were neither textual errors nor Jesus's mistakes in quoting a history. Addressing Abiathar as high priest is a part of the patristic culture in the priesthood tradition in Israel. Jesus’ motive in mentioning Abiathar closely related to the unfaithful story that has made him disposed as a high priest. Thus, the authority of Christ and the Bible as God's Word could not be overthrown by this passage. Keywords : Abiathar; High Priest; Mark 2:26

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has shaken the human society in this century. Almost all of life sectors are affected and closely parelized by it. It can be avoided that tis pandemic causes various vital problems including the problem of human’s psychology. Many researches have been conducted found that the level of stress and mental’s problems are raising. Therefore, this reaserch aims to find biblical principels on managing emotion affected by this harsh situation .The authors use quantitative research method with descreptive approach focusing on textual study from Paslm 56. The authors also use various literatures and documents and all supportive data. This reseach found that the emotional problems can be solved by the emotions menaging principles conducted by David also implemented by the Christians. In the experience of wrestling with negative emotion as a response of difficult situations, Christians require to develop oppenes to what they feel, changing the perspective on tha live’s adversity, and develop the positive attitude.

Abstract

The various problems related to children character and behavior are emerging in manydiscourses. Bullying, group fighting, moral violance, and crime are often involved children whether as the performers or victims. This phenomenon can not be separated to the existance of the family as the very first “school” for the childen. This research is conducted to see the corelation between the family congruity according to Colossians 3:18-24 and children’s social intercourse ethics. This research involved fith grade 50 students of Christian Elementary School of Kalam Kudus in Yogyakarta as the sample. The research found that there is a strong correlation between the family harmony and student’s social intercourse ethics. The parent’s example in managing relation between the family membersis a strong factor in shaping children’s social intercourse ethics, due to the fact that the children are good imitator.

Abstract

The existence of a leader in an institution or organization is not lasting. Every institution and organization, including the church as a ministry institution, will enter a transition period at a certain stage either naturally or due to special factors. Leadership succession is a momentum that is both promising and risky. The successor's gait and role will determine the progress or decline of an institution. The textual analysis on Titus 2:15 was carried out to find the key roles that the leader must have in the momentum of the transition in a ministry. This study deploys qualitative descriptive research with an exegetical approach to observe the selected text. The author also uses various literature studies to support the discussion. In this case, the key strategic roles of leaders in transition are leaders as teachers, leaders as counselors, and leaders as influencers. AbstrakKeberadaan seorang pemimpin dalam sebuah lembaga maupun organisasi merupakan hal yang tidak langgeng. Setiap lembaga dan organisasi, termasuk gereja sebagai lembaga pelayanan akan memasuki periode transisi pada suatu tahap tertentu baik secara alami maupun karena faktor khusus. Suksesi kepemimpinan menjadi momentum menjanjikan sekaligus beresiko. Kiprah dan peran suksesor akan menentukan maju atau mundurnya sebuah lembaga.  Analisis terhadap teks Titus 2:15 dilakukan untuk menemukan peran-peran kunci yang harus dimiliki seorang pemimpin dalam momentum transisi terjadi dalam sebuah pelayanan. Kajian ini merupakan riset deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksegetikal terhadap teks yang diamati. Berbagai literatur digunakan untuk mendukung pembahasan di dalam kajian ini.  Pembahasan menemukan beberapa peran strategis kunci pemimpin di masa transisi, yaitu: pemimpin sebagai pengajar, pemimpin sebagai konselor, dan pemimpin sebagai pembawa pengaruh.

Abstract

Abstract The multi-generational workplace is a global phenomenon emerges today. In the various organizations worldwide there will be four to five generations working in the same workfore and at the same time. Nazarene Church in Indonesia is now dealing with this phenomenon. Leadership managment related to inter-generational leadership succession strategy has become an insist issue to elaborate. The objectives of this research are to find data of the diversity of the generation in the denomination and to find strategy to tackle the intergerational leadership succession. This research is conducted by collecting the data from the field and also undergoing literature review to examine the previous theories and reseach foundings related to the topic. The research found that the denomination had clergy from four different generations who are ministering together side by side at the same time. The findings also indicate the urgency of a leadership transition inter generations in this church. Therefore, the author proposes some recomendations as the intergenerational leadership transition strategy, namely: mentoring, strengthened intergenerational leadership, intentional leadership development programs, and intergenerational leadership collaboration. AbstraksiLingkungan kerja multi generasi adalah fenomena global yang muncul dewasa ini. Di berbagai organisasi di seluruh dunia akan terdapat empat hingga lima generasi yang bekerja ditempat dan waktu yang sama. Gereja Kristen Nazarene di Indonesia pada saat ini sedang menghadapi fenomena tersebut. Pengelolaan kepemimpinan yang berkaitan strategi suksesi kepemimpinan lintas generasi menjadi isu mendesak untuk dikaji. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menemukan data tentang keragaman generasi yang ada di gereja dan untuk menemukan strategi untuk mengatasi persoalan suksesi kepemimpinan antar generasi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menghimpun data dari lapangan dan juga melakukan studi literatur untuk mengkaji teori-teori dan penelitian terdahulu yang berhubungan dengan topik yang dibahas. Penelitian yang dilakukan menemukan bahwa transisi kempemimpinan lintas generasi merupakan hal mendesak bagi GKN di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu penulis menyampaikan beberapa rekomendasi sebagai strategi transisi kepemimpinan lintas generasi, yaitu: mentoring, penguatan hubungan lintas generasi, program pengembangan kepemimpinan terencana dan kolaborasi kepemimpinan lintas generasi

Abstract

 This research is motivated by the disparity of developmental dimensions of theological students. It is often found that the learning process in theological education gives more portion to the content rather than the other developmental dimensions. Theological education should be a transformative experience that covers cognition development, spiritual formation, character maturation, competencies enrichment, and relational engagement with the faith communities. Therefore, this research was conducted to find a form of theological education that can convey a transformative experience for the participants. In order to achieve this, the study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by literature review related to the topics discussed. This study found a theological framework of transformative theology in the Bible. This research also presented the idea of transformative theological education style, namely theological education that emphasizes on balance in concepts and practices in the learning experience. Some of the integrative learning models that can be implemented are the holistic target of changes, a variety of learning approaches, determinative learning strategies, and authentic learning evaluation.AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketimpangan dimensi perkembangan peserta didik dalam belajar teologi. Sering dijumpai proses pembelajaran dalam pendidikan teologi memberikan porsi lebih banyak pada konten daripada dimensi yang lain. Pendidikan teologi seharusnya menjadi pengalaman transformatif yang meliputi pengembangan kognisi, pembentukan kerohanian, pembangunan karakter, penajaman kompetensi, dan penguatan relasi sosial dengan komunitas iman. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mencari bentuk pendidikan teologi yang mampu menghadirkan pengalaman transformatif bagi peserta belajarnya. Dalam rangka mencapainya, kajian di dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kajian pustaka terkait dengan topik yang dibahas. Penelitian ini menemukan kerangka berpikir teologis tentang teologi transformatif di dalam Alkitab. Penelitian ini juga menghadirkan pemikiran corak pendidikan teologi transformatif yaitu pendidikan teologi yang menekankan keseimbangan dalam konsep dan praktik di dalam pengalaman belajar. Beberapa model pembelajaran integratif yang dapat dilakukan adalah: Sasaran perubahan yang Holistik, Ragam pendekatan Pembelajaran yang Variatif, Strategi Pembelajaran yang determinatif, dan Evaluasi Pembelajaran yang Autentik.

Abstract

The spirit of society 5.0 era demands the mastery and utilization of technology along with digital literation in every area of life. This development and challenges also occur in the education sector. A similar challenge is wrestled by Christian Education (CE) to be relevant knowledge within this era. CE must improve itself amid limitations within it. What innovations can be made to make CE relevant and fit to answer the needs of this digital era? This research aims to integrate positive contributions of pragmatism education philosophy toward CE in answering the needs of this era. The pragmatism thinking emphasizes practice and relevant learning outcomes as well as applicative skills. CE needs this utility in the learning process within this pragmatic era. This research applied a qualitative descriptive method with a literature research approach. The founding of this research is a proposal of accommodation of pragmatism philosophy toward CE using project based learning, collaborative learning, and creative problem solving learning approach.Era digital merupakan perkembangan peradaban yang tidak mungkin dihindari. Perkembangan teknologi dan digitalisasi berbasis internet telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan di dalam dunia pendidikan. Sebagaimana semangat society 5.0 yang menekankan kegunaan teknologi dan keilmuan bagi kebaikan manusia, dunia pendidikan secara khusus dalam Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) harus ikut berbenah diri ditengah keterbatasan dan ketertinggalan yang dihadapi. Inovasi apa yang dapat dilakukan guna membuat keilmuan ini tetap releven dan menjawab kebutuhan di era digital ini? Pemikiran pragmatisme yang menekankan pada capaian pembelajaran yang praktis, relevan, dan berorientasi pada keterampilan aplikatif (utilitas) adalah hal yang diperlukan di dalam konteks PAK di dalam proses pembelajaran di era pragmatis ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan dengan mengumpulkan data atau karya tulis ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan obyek penelitian atau pengumulan data yang bersifat kepustakaan. Kajian di dalam penelitian ini mengusulkan akomodasi filsafat pragmatism di dalam PAK dengan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berupa project based learning, collaborative learning, dan creative problem solving.
