Spiritual formation is a critical component in faith development toward Christlikeness. When the Christians are no longer growing, they are actively dying. Therefore, various efforts need to be made to help Christians grow. However, many spiritual formation efforts are still segregated, fragmented, or isolated from other discourses. This approach tends to focus only on the spiritual dimension and ignores that an individual has complex dimensions that cannot be separated from one another. To realize a more holistic spiritual formation, this article explores some developmental psychological theories to find approaches that might help to nurture the faith of believers holistically. The research method employed for this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was done by library research on various developmental theories from various developmentalists. From the results of the investigation, the author found different insights to realize more effective spiritual formation, namely by involving the community as a social context, taking into account every human dimension, giving space to the process, accommodating the nature of spiritual growth as multi-faceted and multi-directional, and presenting various experiences in the process of forming spiritual disciplines.

Yogyakarta, the designated research locus, is recognized as a leading student city, with a substantial academic community consisting of hundreds of universities and hundreds of thousands of students from various geographical locations throughout Indonesia. This condition gives rise to various social dynamics that must be addressed in relation to urgent spiritual issues. The students, who are new adults (18-25 years old) and the subjects of this study, often face a variety of social, emotional, and spiritual challenges associated with this age group's high rate of release in activities and communities of faith. As a result, there is an emerging need to provide related services that prioritize outreach to students, especially in the context of urban settings. This study uses a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach to examine the phenomenon of religious practice in a local church in Yogyakarta that has shown the capacity to develop socialization services for young people. The findings of this study show the importance of understanding the cognitive, social, and emotional development aspects of students as young adults. The personal perceptions and experiences of the study respondents highlighted the needs addressed during their involvement in the faith communities studied. These findings were then formulated into a mission-church-type model for reaching students in urban contexts. The model is based on the following: the adoption of an inclusive community model, the provision of dynamic discipleship, the delivery of relevant teaching, and the implementation of empowerment services.

This study is motivated by the growing phenomenon of mental health problems experienced by Generation Z, which has contributed to the increasing popularity of Stoicism as a practical philosophy for stress coping among young people. This phenomenon raises theological questions regarding the adequacy of Stoicism when compared with Christian spirituality, particularly the teachings of Jesus in the Beatitudes or the Sermon on the Mount. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive method with a comparative theological analysis approach toward the concepts of happiness, emotions, suffering, virtue, and external realities in Stoicism and the Beatitudes. The findings reveal that both traditions share similarities in emphasizing virtue and rejecting external factors as the ultimate source of happiness. However, the study also finds that Stoicism emphasizes rational self-mastery and emotional detachment, whereas the teachings of Jesus offer a more holistic coping framework through spiritual reframing, emotional integration, identity formation as the people of God, emphasis on relationship with God, and eschatological hope. The novelty of this research lies in its recommendation of a Beatitudes-based stress coping model for Generation Z within pastoral theology and Christian spirituality, presenting a more comprehensive and transformative coping framework through the integration of psychological, relational, existential, and theological dimensions of human suffering.

This research is motivated by various legal cases (criminal or civil) involving Christians or clergy as individuals, as well as churches or Christian foundations as a Christian institution which chooses litigation as the settlement process. Even though the legal approach is guaranteed by the constitution, the emergence of legal cases that were prosecuted by Christians has become public consumption, causing problems with the effectiveness of the marturia of God's church. Meanwhile, in the light of the Bible, litigation is not the only solution to dispute resolution. Alternative efforts that are based on Christian values should be put forward as a preventive as well as a solution to the presence of problems among Christians. Therefore, this research was conducted to find alternative approaches to legal proceedings when a dispute occurs between Christians based on 1 Corinthians 6:1-11. The study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a literature review approach to related issues, as well as the application of the principles of exegesis and hermeneutics in exploring the selected texts. The discussion presents findings that non-litigation steps can be put forward when disputes occur with a certain intensity through normative-ecclesiological, mediative and restorative approaches where dispute resolution among Christians should prioritize Bible values for the glory of Christ as the head of the church.

Some modern scholars have brought vital discussion related to the origin language of the New Testament. Instead of being written in Greek, some of them believed that, not just partially or some words, but the whole New Testament manuscripts was originally written in Aramaic language. They are known as Aramaic Primacist. Besides historical and some other external evidences, linguistic approach also can be used to discover in what language the New Testament Manuscript originally written.

Civilization and social structure have dramatically changed in these last several decades. Exponential development of globalization and the growth of technology of communication have transformed values, views and cultures of human civilization nowadays. These are the symptoms of world web wide era; where the local issues can be global discussion in minutes. In one hand, the Church of God should be sensitive to the age changes, does some adaptations and changes to be relevant. In the other hand, the Church of God should not be conformed to this world. Church of the Nazarene as one of the Christian Church denominations in the world is demanded to take the stance to deal with the changes that are happened today especially in LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) issue.

Worship is one expression of a human as a spiritual being. Deep inside a person, there is always a spiritual awareness that makes the person have a need of spiritual relationship with the Creator. In the Church context, worship is conducted with many forms and elements. The number of denominations and liturgies often lead to both a confusion and longing for a formulation or guidance in shaping a liturgy. The style and concept of worship in the Nazarene Church in Indonesia needs an emphasise on its understanding related to the denomination’s history. The Nazarene Church has been in existence Indonesia for almost four decades and spread to many different places in Indonesia.

God has established His church on the earth purposefully. One of God’s purposes in establishing His chruch is that the church can provide the answers for the very complex needs of this earth. This research is being conducted in order to discover the biblical model of the church’s ministries wholelistically using the roles and function of church leadership that are mentioned in the New Testament. The approach methode that is being used in this research, is exploring New Testament texts related to leadership role in the early church. The early Christian church was equiped with the roles of appostle, deacon and elder, each with their own responsibilities that complement each other in order to create wholistic ministry in the church.

This article examines the proper names in the New Testamment including the study of those etymologies and terminologies. The study in this article is related to the linguistic history in Miditeranian sea surrounding areasthat have become the writting locus of New Testamment original text. The discussion has been conducted with linguistic and historical approaches in both biblical and geographical context. From the research that has been undergone, there is an important fact that there was a language development history in the area arround Miditeranian sea. The usage of Greek language as the language of New Testament is strongly connected to the history of the Greece in that area. The names in New Testamment show that there were various languages that had been existed and used in NT written locus. NT reports that there are various names from several different languages related to the history of that area such as Hebrew, Aramic, Latin and Greek.
