Abstract

The role of Food Estate in a country's political economy is crucial, as hunger can lead to severe social, economic, and political crises. This paper analyzes Indonesia's loss of food sovereignty, particularly during the cooking oil scarcity, and explores Islamic Economics' solutions. Firstly, Islamic Economics aims to eradicate market distortions like hoarding and prevent cartels from controlling the supply chain. Secondly, maintaining supply-demand balance involves state oversight of cooking oil production, distribution, and rational consumption promotion. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and Islamic references, the study concludes that cartels caused cooking oil scarcity in Indonesia, weakening state control. Implementing Islamic economic strategies can reclaim state control and safeguard food sovereignty.

Abstract

The construction of the Mengkaras Monument in Kerakas Village is a strategic effort to strengthen the village's identity while enhancing social harmony and community pride. As a village monument, its presence is expected to serve as a symbol representing the local character and history, while also beautifying the surroundings. The community service efforts in building the Mengkaras Monument were carried out through a participatory approach, involving various elements of society, including village leaders, youth, and social groups. Research findings indicate that the Mengkaras Monument plays a role in fostering a sense of belonging among residents, serving as a hub for social activities, and adding aesthetic value to the environment. More than just a village landmark, this monument serves as an element that strengthens unity and raises awareness of the importance of preserving local cultural identity. The presence of the Mengkaras Monument is expected to inspire other villages to develop infrastructure that is not only aesthetically valuable but also holds deep social and historical significance for the local community.

Abstract

The Provinces of DKI Jakarta and East Java implement Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health in PMK RI No.9 of 2020, concerning Guidelines for Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in the Context of Accelerating Handling of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). These two regions are the regions with the first and second largest GRDP in the second quarter of 2020 National GDP. Therefore, this study aims to determine the impact of the implementation of PSBB in DKI Jakarta and East Java Provinces on the national economy. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data sources for this research came from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and Bank Indonesia (BI). Based on the results of this study, the implementation of the PSBB in DKI Jakarta and East Java had an impact on the contraction of the national economy.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai potensi sumber daya tambang di Indonesia serta tantangan dalam pengelolaannya. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan kepada mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Ekonomi Islam (STEI) Hamfara dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi interaktif. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi potensi tambang Indonesia, peringkat global Indonesia dalam produksi tambang, serta kondisi aktual pengelolaan sektor tambang. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang potensi sumber daya tambang dan tantangan pengelolaannya. Diskusi juga memunculkan kesadaran akan perlunya kebijakan yang lebih baik untuk memanfaatkan kekayaan tambang demi kesejahteraan rakyat.
