Abstract

Volleyball games are included in team games, therefore a mastery of technique, mental/psychological factors, and individual intelligence is needed to produce good cooperation between team members, so as to produce their best performance. This research is based on a problem that researchers found in the field, namely the lack of mastery of basic overhead passing techniques. It can be seen that the resulting ball is not on target and is easily read by the opponent. Thus, this study aims to determine the relationship between intellectual intelligence, eye-hand coordination, and confidence in overhead passing skills. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population of this study is female athletes of volleyball clubs in North Sumedang sub-district. Sampling technique using purposive sampling so that samples that meet the criteria are 20 samples. Based on data processing using statistical tests assisted by IBM SPSS type 20 for windows software, it shows that: (1) There is no relationship between intellectual intelligence and overhead passing skills, (2) There is a relationship between eye-hand coordination and overhead passing skills, (3) There is a relationship between confidence in skills overhead passing, and (4) There is a simultaneous or shared relationship between intellectual intelligence, eye-hand coordination, and confidence in overhead passing skills with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.625 and a coefficient of determination (R2) of 39%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of physical education on children's self-confidence and developing gross motor development. The design of this study is descriptive qualitative. The subjects involved in this study were grade VI students and teachers at one of the State Elementary Schools in Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency. In this study, data collection techniques used observation, interview, and documentation techniques to see how the role of physical education affects children's self-confidence and gross motor development. The results of this study indicate that there are problems with teachers who do not provide understanding to children first so that in practice children are not confident, and their motor development is hampered. The solution taken by the teacher is to provide meaningful material understanding first so that it is easier for children to be more confident and develop their gross motor skills when practicing in the field. Conclusion, Physical education has a significant influence on both aspects. Through structured physical activities, children can improve their gross motor skills, such as walking, running, jumping, and balance skills Keywords: Elementary school children, Motor development, Physical education, Self-confidence,

Abstract

The number of open spaces and the population aged seven years and above are known to determine the ratio of open spaces to the Sports Development Index. This study used a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach, using sports open spaces as research variables. The sampling technique was based on the Sports Development Index (SDI), namely the Multistage Random Sampling. The population of this study was residents of Tawangharjo Village, Tarub Village, and Godan Village. The availability of open sports spaces in the Tawangharjo sub-district, represented by 3 villages, namely Tawangharjo, Tarub, and Godan, is in a low category. The solution is to improve sports development in the open space aspect, namely by involving the government to improve the welfare of the people, such as by providing the most superior sports facilities in the region, including football, volleyball, martial arts, and jogging tracks. The role of the community can help develop sports development, such as cooperation in cleaning abandoned sports open spaces.
