Abstract

This research raises issues related to unbalanced diets in modern society that cause obesity problems. As a solution, calorie deficit was chosen as a program to solve this obesity problem. Developed an application called "Calcraft" which is integrated with a recommendation system to provide food selection recommendations by considering the calculation of BMI (Body Mass Index) and BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). Application evaluation is carried out using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method, with a focus on user interface and user experience. Not only that, but the user’s understanding of the knowledge also gained from the features on Calcraft is one of the things the author hopes for. Of the 35 respondents who filled out the SUS questionnaire, "Calcraft" obtained a total score of 2907.5, with an average of 83.07142857. These results indicate very good quality, corresponding to the "A" or "Excellent" category in SUS interpretation. Thus, this app has great potential to assist individuals in running a calorie deficit program effectively and conveniently.

Abstract

Butterflies and moths are two types of insects that share similarities in their appearance and physical characteristics. Both insects exhibit a variety of colors, patterns, and body shapes that are often difficult to distinguish. This research aims to classify butterflies and moths using feature extraction from the Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix. The feature extraction process involves extracting values such as correlation, homogeneity, contrast, and energy from angles of 0°, 45°, 90°, and 135° in each butterfly and moth image. Furthermore, the Support Vector Machine method is used for classification. The research results indicate that using feature extraction from the GrayLevel Co-occurrence Matrix and the Support Vector Machine method can achieve an accuracy of 68.11%, with precision, recall, and F1-Score values of 70.0%, 68.0%, and 68.0%, respectively.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a system that is able to identify the key of piano chords in a piece of music using the Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) method, which is carried out based on frequency analysis of the basic notes that form the piano chord. STFT is used to analyze the audio signal of a piano chord and decompose its frequency spectrum over time. This method is implemented in the Google Colab environment with the Python programming language. The data used is the Piano Triads Wavset dataset which contains combinations of notes in a piano chord. The analysis process begins with data exploration to understand the patterns in the chords, then the system carries out analysis to determine the key to the chords. Test results show that this system has an accuracy of 54.83% in determining piano chords.

Abstract

Bus transportation is a mode of transportation relied upon by the public due to its accessibility and affordable ticket prices. Sentiment analysis of RedBus app reviews on the Google Play Store can provide insight into user sentiment toward the app. The aims of this study are to analyze sentiment in reviews of the RedBus app using two approaches: the Random Forest model and a combination of Random Forest with AdaBoost. The analysis classifies user opinions as positive or negative. The study uses the TF-IDF method for feature extraction, and the evaluation methods include K-Fold Cross Validation and Confusion Matrix. The findings indicate that the combination of Random Forest with AdaBoost significantly enhances performance compared to the standard Random Forest model. Using a combination of Random Forest with AdaBoost results in an average accuracy of 89.0%, while the standard Random Forest model attains an average accuracy of 85.0%.

Abstract

NanoComic is an online platform that enables users to read comics online. The purpose of this research is to design a user interface and user experience based on mobile devices, aligning with the increasing interest in reading comics nowadays. The method employed in this study is the system usability scale, which is used to measure the extent to which the system can be easily used from the subjective perspective of users through the completion of Likert-scale questionnaires. Consequently, this application is expected to address the existing issues within the community.

Abstract

The need for education or employment drives people to move to other areas that offer greater access to education or job opportunities. Individuals who move to a new area for higher education or job search often face challenges in finding accommodations that meet their needs. The increasing number of newcomers has led to a growing demand for housing. The main constraint is that individuals must physically go to the location to search for accommodations like boarding houses ("kos" in Indonesian). Therefore, innovation is needed by leveraging technology that can provide a solution to the challenges faced. The solution to this problem is to create a boarding house search application. The method used in this research is Design Thinking. Design Thinking aims to understand the problems and user needs, so that the developed application is truly beneficial for the users. For its testing, the Usability Testing method is used to assess to what extent a product can be used by specific users based on effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction.

Abstract

Advances in information technology are currently driving an increase in the number of internet users. In the business world, technology plays an important role and can be considered as a basic necessity for today's entrepreneurs. Likewise, in the textile industry, especially Balinese songket craftsmen or entrepreneurs, it is very important to utilize digital platforms to assess the results of Balinese songket fabrics and manage various aspects properly such as quality, color and pattern, innovation, and price. Thus, this knowledge can be shared with the public, passed down from generation to generation, and promoted to both local and foreign tourists, thereby increasing industry recognition and contributing to the country's foreign exchange earnings. To achieve this, the use of ontologies as an information representation technique is highly favored. Ontologies can greatly facilitate the development of semantic applications, especially when dealing with the semantic web. The methodology used for the development of the ontology model in this study is a process that allows the reuse of existing ontologies in subsequent system development. The development of the ontology model in this study uses a software application called Protégé, which has shown promising results during the ontology evaluation stage in providing satisfactory answers to user questions.

Abstract

Hair loss can lead to baldness and affect one's self-confidence. Normally, hair falls out in 80-120 strands per day, and the average number of hair follicles on the head is around 100,000. If the amount is reduced by 50%, it can be considered a disorder. Therefore, a classification of hair loss levels is necessary to determine appropriate actions. Previous study has shown that the KNearest Neighbor algorithm is capable of classifying various diseases. In this study, the Luke Hair Loss Dataset from the website kaggle.com, consisting of 400 data points, was used. To evaluate the method's feasibility, a confusion matrix was employed. The objective of this research is to analyze the performance of the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm. Several scenarios were utilized, including testing the model before and after SMOTE oversampling, testing before and after data normalization, testing based on different K values, and testing with varying ratios of training and testing data. The results of this study indicate that the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm achieved the highest accuracy value of 0,9853, precision of 0,9886, recall of 0,9833, and f1-score of 0,9856.
