Abstract

S. oleosa belongs to the Sapindaceae family and has phytochemicals phenolic acid so that it has enormous benefits in the process antioxidant. The presence of antioxidant activity in cells can affect the defense of the cell protein membrane, so that the ability of cells to perform division is optimal. In vitro this is mostly done by adding hormones to cell culture media or natural compounds to increase cell proliferation. Every population of cell that has undergone division during the proliferation process to confluent is an indication that the cell is aging. This study was an experimental study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications as follows: K0: granulose cells and culture media without treatment (0 µl), P1: granulose cells and culture media with 1% kesambi leaf extract. (30 µl), P2: granulose cells and culture media given kesambi leaf extract 1.5% (45 µl), P3: granulose cells and culture media given kesambi leaf extract 2% (60 µl) and P4: granulosa cells and The culture media was given 2.5% (75 µl) to the leaves extract., the characteristics of goat ovarian granulosa cells by giving kesambi (Scheichera oleosa) leaf extract at different passages were at the level of confluence showing the highest value in passage I, namely treatment P1. Meanwhile, the level of viability shows the highest value in section I, namely the P4 treatment

Abstract

Supresi TNF-α diduga melalui penghambatan aktivasi NFκB. Penghambatan TNF-α terjadi pada fase post transkripsi sedangkan penghambatan inducible nitric oxide synthase pada fase transkripsi.

Abstract

Kesambi (Schleichera oleosa) belonging to the Sapindaceae family has very important phytochemical elements including terpenoids, falvonoids, phenolic acids, betulins, betulin acids and others, so that they have enormous benefits in the process of antimicrobials, antioxidants, anticancer and can be used for the production of biodiesel. One of the potency of antioxidant ability as an antioxidant is due to its phenolic compounds. The presence of antioxidant activity in cells can affect the defense of cell protein membranes, so that the cell's ability to carry out division is optimal. In vitro this is mostly done by adding hormones to culture cell media or natural compound substances to increase cell proliferation. This study is an experimental study using a Complete Random Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications as follows: K0: granulosa cells and culture media without treatment (0 µl), P1: granulosa cells and culture media which were given 1% porch leaf extract (30 µl), P2: granulosa cells and culture media which were given kesambi leaf extract 1.5% (45 µl), P3: granulosa cells and culture media were given 2% (60 µl) kesambi leaf extract and P4: granulosa cells and culture media were given a 2.5% (75 µl) kesambi leaf extract. In this study, there was an influence on the administration of kesambi (Schleichera oleosa) leaf extract to the proliferation of goat ovarian granulosa cells in vitro in the P3 (2%) treatment ie a dose of 60 µl. However, it did not have a significant effect on the viability of goat ovarian granulosa cells.

Abstract

Pomegranate (Punica granatum) occupies a special place in Islamic tradition and modern health literature. This article aims to explore the potential of pomegranate from the perspective of the Qur'an and Sunnah, as well as to examine the health benefits substantiated by scientific research. Pomegranate is mentioned in several verses of the Qur'an, such as in Surah al-An'am (6): 99 and Surah Ar-Rahman (55): 68, highlighting its significance as a symbol of Allah's power. Hadith also recommend the consumption of pomegranate, indicating its spiritual and medicinal properties.Previous research has demonstrated that pomegranate possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and it has the ability to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. Studies confirm that pomegranate consumption can mitigate oxidative stress, inflammation, and cancer cell proliferation. This article compiles and analyzes data from various literature sources using a systematic literature review method. The findings of this review indicate that pomegranate has significant religious and health benefits, rendering it an important fruit in a healthy diet and alternative medicine. Further research is necessary to explore the applications of pomegranate in modern health therapies more comprehensively.

Abstract

Kepel (Stelechocarpus Burahol (Bl.) Hook F. Th.), a plant indigenous to Indonesia, is popular for its various benefits, including anti-hyperuricemia, xanthine oxidase inhibition, anti-implantation, anticancer, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. However, its potential as a neuroprotective agent is not well understood. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the confluence and viability of primary mouse neurons following the administration of ethanol extract from Kepel (Stelechocarpus burahol (Bl.) Hook F. Th.) leaves. Primary neuron cell cultures were divided into four treatment groups: NT (without treatment), T1 (50 µL of Kepel leaf extract), T2 (75 µL of Kepel leaf extract), and T3 (100 µL of Kepel leaf extract). After 48 hours of incubation, culture confluence and viability were assessed. This study approved that the ethanol extract of Kepel leaves did not significantly affect confluence compared to the non-treated group, but cell viability increased when treated with the Kepel leaf extract compared to the non-treated group.
