Abstract

Insurance companies need a method to help companies determine premium prices that are appropriate to the risks they face. In other words, it is also necessary to know the variables that influence premium prices using Generalized Linear Models (GLM) by generalizing the linear regression model to model the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable. The aim of this research is to determine the variables that influence premium prices and determine the pure health insurance premium using the GLM method.

Abstract

Traffic congestion is a problem that often occurs at crossroads. One of the causes of congestion is the waiting time for traffic at a crossroad improper, so it can cause the accumulation of vehicles in several branches. The purpose of this paper is to determine the optimal waiting time for traffic lights at the Sudirman-Pujowiyoto intersection in Purbalingga by using a compatible graph. The traffic flow at the intersection can be modeled into a compatible graph, where a vertex represents the traffic flow to be managed and the edges indicate that the two flows are compatible. It means that they can run simultaneously without crossing. Based on secondary data from Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Purbalingga, the total waiting time applied to the Sudirman-Pujowiyoto intersection is 317 seconds. Meanwhile, according to the compatible graph calculation, by using the assumption of 60 seconds in a cycle, an optimal total waiting time is 120 seconds.

Abstract

The DSH Meat Kiosk is a kiosk that sells one of the foodstuffs, namely Beef. This DSH Meat Kiosk has been around for more than 20 years. However, as long as this kiosk is established, the manager still finds it difficult to analyze the profit from the sale. Therefore, this Profit and Loss Financial Statement is intended to assist traders in managing the profits generated. In this report a financial analysis is made in November 2021 and February 2022. The method used in making this report is to use primary data by collecting data in the form of interviews with kiosk owners relating to things needed in making profit and loss statements such as assets that owned, total revenue, operating costs and others. The results of this report show that sales in February 2022 decreased by 17.88% compared to November 2021. With this report, it is hoped that this report will help and make it easier to manage the profits generated and make decisions to generate the best profits. The discussion of the selected questions will look for what actuarial obligations are and what normal costs are based on the data provided. The purpose of this discussion is to know, understand, and be able to perform actuarial calculations regarding the unit credit method used. The unit credit method used is the traditional unit credit and the projected unit credit. The formula used for each question is as follows. andThe result of solving the first problem shows that the total actuarial liability on 1/1/95 is IDR 405,339.095. While the results of the second question show that the normal cost for 2021 on 1/1/2021 was IDR 1,071.43. From these results, users can find out how much actuarial obligations are and what normal costs are based on the data that has been provided.

Abstract

The “New Normal” state during the pandemic has made digital financial transactions important as an effort to reduce direct human interaction, to prevent the spread of the pandemic. The rate of financial transactions at banks has automatically increased, but in practice, several risks may occur about failed or incorrect digital transactions. Examples of digital transaction system risks are downtime and timeout services due to system failures, cyber-attacks, and system usage errors. These risks need attention from banking companies. One way to anticipate digital financial transaction failure happen is the readiness of a reserve fund that is used to cover the wrong amount of fund error in the bank's digital system. This research will discuss the estimation of operational reserve funds for digital banking financial transactions (e-banking) using the Operational Value-at-Risk (OpVaR) method, based on operational risk data for digital financial transactions to obtain the largest potential loss value from digital financial transaction activities at a bank. Based on calculations using the OpVaR method, it is known that the reserve fund required for the operational risk of digital financial transactions is IDR135,465,044,269.741. The results of this study show that the e-banking operational reserve fund is quite large due to the possibility of extreme losses. This provides a view to avoiding the worst risk of collapse due to an imbalance in the required reserve funds.

Abstract

This study aims to increase public knowledge about the processing of guava leaves as herbal medicine to treat diarrhea. Prior to counseling and training, the results of the pretest showed that most of the participants (70.5%) had known the utilization and processing of guava leaves as herbal medicine. After attending the training, participants were given a post-test questionnaire to measure the increase in their knowledge. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the participants' knowledge after attending the training. The knowledge percentage increased from 70.5% to 89.0%, representing an increase of 18.5%. This training provides information on how to process guava leaves into herbal medicines that are effective in treating diarrhea. Some of the processing methods taught in the training include making guava leaf tea, guava leaf extract, and decoction of guava leaves. Participants were also given knowledge about the active ingredients in guava leaves, such as quercetin, which has an anti-diarrhea effect. This study showed that the counseling and training program was effective in increasing participants' knowledge about processing guava leaves as a herbal medicine to treat diarrhea. With the knowledge gained, it is hoped that the community can properly process guava leaves and use them effectively in maintaining health and treating diarrhea with simple medication. This program also empowers garden plants in the environment around the village as an easily accessible source of herbal medicines.

Abstract

In optimization problem solving, both linear and nonlinear approaches can be used, with nonlinear programming considering constraints or not. One effective method of nonlinear programming is the Piecewise Linear approach, which breaks down complex nonlinear functions into straight-line segments to make their solution easier. This method can be applied in the financial sphere, such as in stock investment. This study discusses the application of piecewise linear function in optimizing investment portfolios in Bank Jago Tbk. (ARTO), Barito Pacific Tbk. (BRPT), and Go To Gojek Tokopedia Tbk. (GOTO) stocks. The purpose of this study is to provide insight that Piecewise Linear can provide optimal solutions in managing investment portfolios by calculating the risks and returns of selected stocks. The results showed a risk with a level ???? as big as 0.01, the expected profit from the investment of the three stocks in the calculation period reached IDR 1,803,109. On the other hand, for investors who are more cautious and have a Level ???? as big as 1, the anticipated profit in the same investment is around IDR 1,275,052.
