Abstract

Since the early 1990s, a slew of chaotic-based communication systems have been proposed, all of which take advantage of chaotic waveform properties. The inspiration stems from the substantial benefits that this form of nonlinear signal offers. Many communication schemes and applications have been specifically designed for chaos-based communication systems to achieve this goal, with energy, data rate, and synchronization awareness being taken into account in most designs. However, non-coherent chaos-based systems have recently received a lot of attention in order to take advantage of the benefits of chaotic signals and non-coherent detection while avoiding the use of chaotic synchronization, which has poor performance in the presence of additive noise. This paper provides a thorough examination of all wireless radio frequency chaos-based communication systems. It begins by describing the difficulties of chaos implementations and synchronization processes, then moves on to a thorough literature review and study of chaos-based coherent techniques and their applications.

Abstract

Chaos phenomena appear in dynamic, nonlinear and deterministic systems. One model that is being intensively researched is financial risk. This model has system variables such as interest rate, investment demand, and stock price index. This study shows that the new financial system has interesting characteristics including multistability equilibrium points, Lyapunov exponents and bifurcation diagrams. The results of this study use MATLAB for phase diagrams of the financial system. The Lyapunov exponent and analysis of the Bifurcation diagram have been generated showing the chaotic phenomena in the intervals 0 a 15 and 0 b 0.25. The resulting Kaplan-Yorke dimension is 2.2506. The results of this study can be used to predict financial risk chaos.

Abstract

This research investigates the factors that hinder students from speaking English as a foreign language in the classroom. Through qualitative research methods involving students and teachers, the findings show that there are two main factors that influence students' speaking abilities, namely affective factors and cognitive factors. Affective factors include eleven subfactors such as shyness, nervousness, and lack of self-confidence, while cognitive factors involve problems with grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. In addition, the influence of teachers and peers also has a significant role in overcoming or exacerbating these factors. This research has implications for designing more effective speaking learning and a supportive environment for students in overcoming speaking barriers.

Abstract

Basic math training plays an important role in preparing students for the National Selection Based Test (SNBT), which is one of the entry pathways to public universities in Indonesia. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of academic ability test training in improving the readiness of XII grade students of Pasundan Majalaya High School to face SNBT 2024. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a case study approach. The study population was all XII grade students of Pasundan Majalaya High School who participated in the training program. Data were collected through observations and tests conducted before and after the training. Data analysis was conducted to measure the improvement of students' academic ability and readiness. The results showed that the academic proficiency test training implemented at Pasundan Majalaya High School was effective in improving students' pre and post test results. There was a significant increase in proficiency test scores through pre and post test results. In addition, the training also helped students in developing time management skills, problem solving strategies, and critical thinking skills. The findings suggest that structured and comprehensive training can significantly improve students' academic readiness, thus helping them to face SNBT more confidently and competitively. This research is expected to contribute to the preparation of Pasundan Majalaya High School students for college entrance selection.

Abstract

Gambling in casino games is an uncertain business because it creates two possibilities between the hope of winning or the risk of losing. The risks faced by casinos are usually analyzed using the Risk of Ruin (ROR). The main focus of this study is to apply the mathematical model of ROR using the Poisson distribution to model random events in gambling by considering the house advantage (a) and the law of large numbers. This study discusses the relationship between variables, such as maximum bet limits and cash flows and examines how these factors affect the risk of casino bankruptcy. In its business characteristics, casinos operate as gambling business entities and utilize the house advantage to achieve their financial benefits. House advantage indicates the profitability of the casino. However, the uncertainty of this gambling can pose a risk of bankruptcy for them. In this study, the house advantage is included in our model for several popular casino games. In addition, a set of full-range scales is defined to facilitate effective assessment of the level of risk faced by the casino, considering its regulatory context. This study also uses the binomial random walk model to describe the race between the casino and the gambler, where each step has two possible outcomes, namely winning or losing. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into the risk in calculating risk in optimizing betting decisions and reducing the risk of bankruptcy.

Abstract

This paper investigates the impact of various one-factor no-arbitrage interest rate models on key bond value measures, specifically effective duration. Employing numerical methods based on binomial or trinomial lattices, the study assesses five prominent interest rate models: Ho and Lee, Kalotay, Williams, and Fabozzi, Black, Derman, and Toy, Hull and White, and Black and Karasinski.The analysis begins by outlining the theoretical foundations and assumptions underlying each model, highlighting their distinctive features and implications for bond valuation. Through a meticulous numerical solution process, the study generates risk metrics for bond portfolios, considering the dynamic nature of interest rates and the complex interactions between price, duration, and convexity.Comparisons across the models reveal nuanced differences in the computed effective duration and convexity measures, shedding light on how the choice of an interest rate model may influence risk assessments in fixed-income portfolios. The paper discusses practical implications for investors and portfolio managers, emphasizing the importance of model selection in navigating the challenges posed by interest rate fluctuations. Additionally, it addresses the potential limitations and challenges associated with each model, offering insights into their relative strengths and weaknesses.By presenting empirical examples and conducting sensitivity analyses, this research contributes to the ongoing discourse on interest rate modeling and its implications for bond markets. The findings offer valuable insights for practitioners seeking to enhance their risk management strategies in fixed-income investments, providing a foundation for future research in this dynamic and evolving field.

Abstract

Abstract

Gravity is an accelerating property of the earth that causes objects to fall freely. The acceleration of gravity is not the same at every place on the Earth's surface. To measure the Earth's gravity (small g), scientists can use various techniques, such as dropping a mass from a certain height and measuring the time it takes to fall to the ground or using a mathematical pendulum to measure the period of oscillation and use it to calculate the acceleration due to gravity. In this paper, a study of the mathematical pendulum in the measurement of the Earth's gravitational acceleration is conducted, and the measurement experiment is illustrated. Method To measure the length of the pendulum, you must have a ruler, meter stick, or tape measure. At the top end of the string, start the measurement at the point where the string rotates out of place. Then, measure up to the center of the pendulum, which is the object hanging on the string. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the value of the period of a pendulum is affected by several factors, including the length of the rope used and the angle of initial deviation, while the factors that do not affect the period are the mass and diameter of the pendulum.

Abstract

in this research is useful to provide broader information about how the effectiveness of elections in providing political understanding in order to increase public political awareness The General Election Commission consistently strives to increase community participation, especially Sumedang Regency for the prevention of golput. That activities carried out by the General Election Commission and the Head of Cimanggung Regency socialized the election to the people who were present, explained in detail the importance of elections in people's lives after that also made a video which was uploaded to YouTube related to the socialization of the election.
