Prior to counseling and training, the results of the pretest showed that most of the participants (70.5%) had known the utilization and processing of guava leaves as herbal medicine. After attending the training, participants were given a post-test questionnaire to measure the increase in their knowledge. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the participants' knowledge after attending the training. The knowledge percentage increased from 70.5% to 89.0%, representing an increase of 18.5%. This training provides information on how to process guava leaves into herbal medicines that are effective in treating diarrhea. Some of the processing methods taught in the training include making guava leaf tea, guava leaf extract, and decoction of guava leaves. Participants were also given knowledge about the active ingredients in guava leaves, such as quercetin, which has an anti-diarrhea effect. This study showed that the counseling and training program was effective in increasing participants' knowledge about processing guava leaves as a herbal medicine to treat diarrhea. With the knowledge gained, it is hoped that the community can properly process guava leaves and use them effectively in maintaining health and treating diarrhea with simple medication. This program also empowers garden plants in the environment around the village as an easily accessible source of herbal medicines.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between ease of digital access and increasing online gambling participation among Indonesian university students. Through a quantitative descriptive approach involving 420 respondents from various universities, the research examines how technological advancement has influenced gambling behavior among students and its multidimensional consequences. The findings reveal a significant correlation between digital accessibility and gambling participation, with 43.3% of respondents having engaged in online gambling and 25.9% remaining active gamblers. Students with easy digital access were nearly three times more likely to gamble online compared to those with limited access. Demographic analysis showed higher participation rates among male students and those residing in urban areas with superior digital infrastructure. The research identified substantial negative impacts on participants, including psychological effects (76.4% experiencing stress and anxiety) and academic consequences (56.6% reporting decreased concentration). Despite 62% of students claiming moderate digital literacy, only 28% demonstrated true understanding of digital risks, revealing a critical gap between technical proficiency and risk awareness. The majority of gambling-involved students (67.2%) reported first encountering gambling through social media platforms, highlighting the influential role of digital marketing in normalizing gambling behavior. This study underscores the need for comprehensive interventions including enhanced digital literacy education, campus-based support services, strengthened regulatory frameworks, and innovative prevention campaigns targeting digital-native students. The research contributes to understanding how rapidly evolving digital ecosystems create unprecedented challenges in academic environments and offers strategic recommendations for institutional and governmental responses to protect student welfare and academic success.

Abstract

The rise of social media has transformed the formation of public opinion, with digital influencers emerging as key actors in shaping attitudes, behaviors, and cultural trends. This study investigates the role of influencers in influencing Millennials and Generation Z, focusing on credibility, engagement, and generational differences. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining a quantitative survey of 300 respondents (150 Millennials, 150 Gen Z) with in-depth interviews of 20 participants. Quantitative findings indicate that influencer credibility is the most significant factor for both generations, with over 70% of respondents citing trust and reputation as primary reasons for engagement. Both Millennials and Gen Z are influenced in lifestyle and consumption decisions; However, Gen Z shows greater susceptibility to socio-political narratives, whereas Millennials engage more critically and selectively. Qualitative analysis reveals four key themes: Millennials prioritize authenticity and transparency, while Gen Z exhibits strong emotional attachment through parasocial relationships and perceives influencers as role models and alternative sources of information. The findings underscore that influencers function not only as marketing agents but also as social actors and cultural mediators. Effective communication strategies must consider generational distinctions: authentic storytelling resonates with Millennials, while content emphasizes diversity, inclusivity, and social responsibility appeals to Gen Z. The study also highlights risks associated with misinformation and biased narratives, considering the need for ethical practices and enhanced digital literacy among both influencers and audiences. Overall, this research contributes to understanding how influencer culture shapes public opinion, revealing the multidimensional role of influencers in contemporary digital communication.

Abstract

Education is recognized as a human right and the main key to a nation's progress. The availability of adequate educational facilities in each region is crucial to ensure equal access to education for all citizens. However, Indonesia faces significant challenges in providing equitable educational facilities, especially considering the diverse geographical and demographic conditions between regions. Teluk Bintuni Regency in West Papua Province is one of the areas that requires special attention in improving educational access and facilities, especially because of its geographical conditions, the majority of which are islands with mountains and sea waters. This research aims to analyze the availability of educational facilities in Teluk Bintuni Regency, with a focus on the type and level of schools. Data obtained from the Education Department shows that by 2023, this district will only have 263 schools, consisting of kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and vocational schools. This figure is still considered insufficient and equitable, especially when compared with the population of around 60,000 people spread across 23 sub-districts. The main challenge in providing equitable educational facilities in Teluk Bintuni Regency involves diverse geographic and demographic conditions. Therefore, it is hoped that this research can provide an in-depth evaluation of the current condition of educational facilities, identify existing gaps, and formulate the need for improving educational facilities in the future based on population growth projections. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide a strong basis for policy making by the Teluk Bintuni Regency Government, especially in terms of planning and budgeting for the equitable development of educational facilities. It is also hoped that the conclusions from this research can become a reference for related agencies, such as the Education Office, Bappeda, and the Teluk Bintuni Regency DPRD, in preparing strategic plans for educational development for the next five years.
