Abstract

This research illustrates the importance of introducing the concept of income and expenditure at an early age by presenting simple, relevant examples. The introduction of income, such as a weekly allowance from parents, helps children understand the meaning of effort in earning money, develops financial decision-making skills, and builds discipline. Positive impacts include a better understanding of financial concepts and growing financial independence, despite potential wasteful habits and dependence on parents. On the other hand, the introduction of expenses, such as buying snacks or toys, helps children learn to choose between different options, understand the value of money, and be responsible for their spending. It also strengthens financial decision-making skills and awareness of financial priorities, although it can lead to wasteful habits and lack of awareness about saving for the future. In conclusion, early financial literacy education has a key role in shaping children's understanding of finance, financial values, and wise financial management practices, which will help them face future financial challenges and build a more stable financial foundation, while creating a strong foundation for healthy financial understanding within the family.

Abstract

This study aims to increase public knowledge about the processing of guava leaves as herbal medicine to treat diarrhea. Prior to counseling and training, the results of the pretest showed that most of the participants (70.5%) had known the utilization and processing of guava leaves as herbal medicine. After attending the training, participants were given a post-test questionnaire to measure the increase in their knowledge. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the participants' knowledge after attending the training. The knowledge percentage increased from 70.5% to 89.0%, representing an increase of 18.5%. This training provides information on how to process guava leaves into herbal medicines that are effective in treating diarrhea. Some of the processing methods taught in the training include making guava leaf tea, guava leaf extract, and decoction of guava leaves. Participants were also given knowledge about the active ingredients in guava leaves, such as quercetin, which has an anti-diarrhea effect. This study showed that the counseling and training program was effective in increasing participants' knowledge about processing guava leaves as a herbal medicine to treat diarrhea. With the knowledge gained, it is hoped that the community can properly process guava leaves and use them effectively in maintaining health and treating diarrhea with simple medication. This program also empowers garden plants in the environment around the village as an easily accessible source of herbal medicines.

Abstract

Cooperatives as membership-based economic entities have experienced an evolution from the traditional model (TC) to the new generation model (NGC). TC is known for its social orientation and simple structure, but often experiences limited capital and difficulty adapting to modern business dynamics. Responding to these weaknesses, NGC comes with a business model that is more open to external capital, professional management, and full supply chain penetration. Even though it provides significant added value, NGC is faced with challenges in maintaining the social values of cooperation and relationships between members. This article analyzes the comparison between TC and NGC, highlights the advantages and disadvantages of each model, and formulates the future development direction of cooperatives that integrates the positive elements of both models. The results of this research provide a basis for formulating recommendations for cooperative development in the future. It is recommended that cooperatives adopt a flexible business model, combining traditional and modern aspects. The importance of maintaining cooperative social values is in line with increasing efficiency and competitiveness. Efforts are needed to increase member literacy in terms of business management, and cooperatives need to build strategic partnerships with external parties to support growth and innovation. It is hoped that the implementation of these recommendations can lead cooperatives towards a sustainable future and provide maximum benefits for their members.

Abstract

Drug abuse among children is a serious issue that requires special attention. This article discusses the factors that influence children from engaging in drug abuse, the judicial proceedings against them, and the legal protections provided. The research method used is a normative legal research method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that peer factors, personality, psychiatric conditions, family, and the availability of narcotics in the market play an important role in narcotics abuse. The juvenile justice process for drug abusers goes through several stages, including investigation, prosecution, trial, and formation at the Special Child Development Institute. Legal protection for children is regulated in the Child Protection Law and the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law. The adverse effects of the formal criminal justice process are also discussed, including trauma, stigma, and exclusion from school. Diversion programs are an important alternative to protect children from the negative consequences of the formal criminal justice process.

Abstract

The revision of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) in Indonesia has become a hot topic of debate. Institutions and activists such as the Institute for Criminal Justice Reform (ICJR) and the Press Legal Aid Institute (LBH Pers) have presented various arguments regarding the impact of these changes. This article outlines the five main arguments advanced by the ICJR and LBH Pers. First, there is an objection to Article 27 paragraph (3) which regulates insults and defamation. Second, changes in criminal procedural law raise concerns about the discretionary authority of law enforcement officials without involving the courts. Third, the addition of cyberbullying-related crimes raises concerns about the potential for over-criminalization. Fourth, governments are given additional powers to filter and block content, which can result in potential abuse. Finally, the fifth argument relates to the "right to be forgotten" clause which can be used as a tool of censorship against news publications and journalists about one's past. This article also examines the impact of information technology developments on computer crime and underscores the importance of protecting individual rights and free speech in the digital age.

Abstract

As a country based on legal principles, Indonesia has a responsibility to respect and prioritize the principles of the rule of law, including independence and the absence of partiality in the judicial system. The level of success in implementing this principle can be measured by the extent to which the judiciary is independent in carrying it out to realize justice based on the law. However, the power of the Constitutional Court (MK) cannot be avoided from criticism and evaluation. For example, a Constitutional Court decision attracted public attention regarding the requirements for presidential and vice presidential candidates. Therefore, this article discusses the impact of the controversy that emerged after the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) in Case Number 90/PUU-XXI/2023 on January 4 2023. This decision, which includes the cancellation of part of Law Number 7 of 2017, has raised various criticisms and doubts about the independence of the Constitutional Court. By focusing on the role of Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman in minority opinions, this article analyzes the examination carried out by the Honorary Council of Constitutional Court Judges (MKMK) regarding alleged ethical violations. The implications for the credibility of the Constitutional Court as a democratic oversight institution are a major concern in this context.

Aerobic gymnastics programs involve movements such as High Footsteps, Boxing and Kicking Stances, Side Steps, Sliding Kicks, Skipping Ropes, and Body Stretching and Warm-Up. Gymnastics programs are run in regular sessions supervised by experienced instructors. Blood pressure measurement is done using a sphygmomanometer and stethoscope. The results showed that aerobic exercise programs produced positive changes in the blood pressure of elderly people with hypertension. There was a decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure after participating in the gymnastics program. Data analysis showed a significant impact of gymnastics programs in lowering blood pressure in hypertensive elderly populations. This research has important implications for efforts to prevent and manage hypertension in the elderly. Aerobic exercise programs can be an effective alternative and can be implemented easily to help lower blood pressure in the elderly population with hypertension. Follow-up studies with larger sample sizes and control groups can provide deeper insights into the benefits and effectiveness of gymnastics programs in the management of hypertension in the elderly.
