Abstract

The deviation of social behavior of elementary school students lately is very alarming, it requires preventive and curative efforts in handling it.The focus of this study would like to see the contribution of outdoor education activities to students' self concept in the primary school of the UPI Campus Tasikmalaya Campus, Indonesia. 32 students were selected as samples through purposive sampling technique. The experimental method was used in this study. Data obtained through self concept scale questionnaire. The results of the study mentioned Outdoor Education activities contributed to the development of self concept. This finding can be used as an alternative by physical education teachers in the context of innovation and learning variation. Further research can be carried out on the development of other affective aspects such as assertive behavior. Abstrak Penyimpangan perilaku sosial siswa sekolah dasar akhir-akhir ini sangat memprihatinkan, diperlukan upaya preventif dan kuratif dalam menanganinya. Fokus penelitian ini ingin melihat kontribusi aktivitas outdoor education terhadap self concept siswa di sekolah dasar laboratorium percontohan UPI Kampus Tasikmalaya, Indonesia. Sebanyak 32 siswa dipilih menjadi sampel melalui teknik purposive sampling. Metode eksperimen digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner skala self concept. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan aktivitas Outdoor Education memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan self concept. Temuan ini dapat dijadikan alternatif oleh para guru pendidikan jasmani dalam rangka inovasi dan variasi pembelajaran. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat dilakukan terhadap pengembangan aspek afektif lainnya seperti perilaku assertif.

Abstract

This research examined the impact of outdoor education on student assertive attitude in Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Elementary School, Tasikmalaya Campus, Indonesia. The problem gained by the researcher in the learning process was the negative behavior that the researcher aimed to study. The samples of the study were 32 students chosen through a purposive sampling technique. The experimental method was used in this study. The data were obtained through an Assertive Scale questionnaire. The researcher conducted an initial study with the result 0,662. The final score of the research was 0,504, showing that Outdoor Education had a significant impact on assertive attitude development. This finding shows that outdoor education can be an alternative for the teachers of Physical Education at elementary schools to implement moral and ethics learning as well as a learning variation. The further research is suggested to conduct a research related to other affective aspects, such as emotion and empathy. The outdoor education indirectly gives impacts on the student attitude and acts as a self-reminder.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the strategic role of the media in shaping the narrative of the 2024 simultaneous regional head elections in Indonesia, focusing on how the media influences people's perceptions and political decisions. This research used a qualitative method, employing the Media Role Narrative approach by collecting and analyzing data from Kumparan, Detik, and Kompas media. NVivo 12 Plus was utilized to systematically manage and analyze qualitative data, allowing researchers to identify narrative patterns and themes from many news articles efficiently. Using the ‘Crosstab Query’ and ‘Word Cloud’ features of NVivo 12 Plus, the researchers could see that narratives related to specific candidates, such as corruption allegations against one of the regional head candidates, were often repeated in Kompas and Detik news articles. The results revealed that the media has a role in shaping election narratives, but previous literature demonstrates that its influence on election outcomes tends to be indirect and non-deterministic. This study provides new insights into the impact of media narratives in the context of local elections, revealing how narratives can be directed to strategically influence public opinion. It also offers a policy framework that can support the creation of fair and balanced narratives in the context of local democracy.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the ‘Desak Anies’ political campaign strategy run by Anies Baswedan in the 2024 Indonesian General Election, focusing on the use of social media and direct interaction to increase young voter engagement. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through analysis of mass media sources, literature reviews, and interactions on Twitter social media, which were then processed using Nvivo 12 Plus software. The data analysis technique in this study uses an interactive model technique developed by Miles, Huberman, & Saldaña which consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. This research applies four main theories namely Democracy Theory, Political Communication, Social Media, and Political Participation to examine the impact of the campaign on political participation and public communication. The results show that ‘Desak Anies’ succeeded in creating active participation and open dialogue among young voters, but also revealed the limitations of social media in presenting political issues in depth and the risk of polarising opinions. The article also highlights the challenges of using social media in simplifying complex political issues and the risks of polarising opinions. Through this exploration, this article provides insights into the potential and limitations of social media as a tool for political mobilisation in the digital age.

Abstract

Dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan penerimaan pajak, maka diperlukan usaha bersama antara pemerintah dan masyarakat sebagai para wajib pajak dengan cara meningkatkan kepatuhan wajib pajak untuk dapat memenuhi kewajiban perpajakannya sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku. Kepatuhan wajib pajak dapat diartikan sebagai suatu keadaan dimana wajib pajak telah memenuhi semua kewajiban perpajakan dan melaksanakan hak perpajakannya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh sosialisasi perpajakan, kualitas pelayanan pajak dan kepatuhan wajib pajak. Populasi dalam penelitian inis eluuruh wajib pajak yang terdaftar di KPP Medan Timur. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode slovin serta analisi data menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa Sosialisasi Perpajakan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak pada KPP Pratama Medan Timur. Secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa Kualitas Pelayanan Pajak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak pada KPP Pratama Medan Timur. Secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa Sosialisasi Perpajakan dan Kualitas Pelayanan Pajak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak pada KPP Pratama Medan Timur

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the contribution of sport in improving individual moral values through a systematic literature review approach. This study evaluates various relevant literature to identify the relationship between participation in sports activities and the development of moral values, such as honesty, responsibility, cooperation and respect. Through systematic selection and analysis of data from journals, books and research reports, it was found that sport can be an effective medium in moral formation, especially through social interaction, healthy competition and application of game rules. Factors such as the role of the coach, the sporting environment and the type of sport undertaken also influence the extent to which moral values can be developed. This finding also shows that the integration of moral values in sports does not happen automatically but requires a structured approach and awareness from all parties involved. Therefore, it is important to design training programs that do not only focus on the physical aspect but also emphasize the learning of ethical values explicitly. The results of this research provide insight for educational practitioners, sports coaches, and policy makers to integrate moral values into sports programs as a character building strategy.

Abstract

This research explores the behavioural patterns of social media users in response to policies, bridging a gap in the literature by providing in-depth insights into the interaction between user behaviour and public policies relating to social media. An important contribution of this research lies in its holistic approach to understanding how social media users respond to various public policies and their impact on their behaviour. This research aims to explore the influence of the interaction between social media and public policy, understanding how user behaviour on these platforms affects responses to government policies. This study uses qualitative research methods with a scientometric approach. The main results underline the crucial role of social media not only as a communication channel but also as a significant influence tool in shaping public opinion and policy. These studies show that social media has a dual potential, which can support professional and community development, as well as influence government policies and actions through social interaction and information dissemination. However, negative impacts are also evident, such as in the spread of fake news that can significantly alter political views. The practical implications of this research emphasise the need for proactive and systematic government strategies in using social media for the dissemination of accurate information and combating fake news, thereby improving the effectiveness of policy communication and responsiveness to public needs.

Abstract

Sekolah Alam Gaharu (SA Gaharu) adalah sekolah alam yang bertemakan pangan. Siswa SA Gaharu dibekali dengan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan tentang budidaya dan pengolahan bahan pangan salah satunya kolam ikan. Salah satu masalah di kolam ikan yang dikelola oleh SA Gaharu adalah pemberian pakan yang harus dilakukan secara rutin dan manual. Pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan pelatihan tentang sistem otomasi pemberian pakan ikan serta implementasinya. Pelatihan ini ditujukan untuk siswa SA Gaharu setingkat SMP/Tsanawiyah didampingi oleh guru-guru. Dengan kegiatan ini selain ditujukan untuk memecahkan permasalahan pemberian pakan ikan di kolam SA Gaharu, juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat siswa terhadap teknologi.
