Abstract

Pada tahun 2012 saat penelitian ini dilakukan hampir semua transaksi yang dilakukan pada PT. Rich  Kingdom Jaya International (RKJI) masih mengunakan tenaga manusia seperti; semua pencatatan transaksi ke buku, pengisian pulsa harus diproses satu persatu, dan pembelian barang harus datang ke kantor. Masalah selanjutnya bank belum bisa melakukan transfer antar bank secara online sehingga  mempersulit aliran dana, karena setiap anggota memiliki bank yang berbeda. Untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini, maka dirancanglah sistem E-Money berbasis website agar seluruh anggota dapat mengaksesnya kapanpun dan dimanapun. E-Money memanfaatkan SMS Banking melalui SMS Gateway  untuk melakukan pengiriman uang antar bank dan di integrasikan dengan toko online untuk memudahkan setiap anggota untuk berbelanja dan membeli pulsa secara online menggunakan saldo yang mereka simpan. Diharapkan dengan adanya sistem E-Money maka sistem di perusahaan tersebut akan lebih cepat dan akurat.

Abstract

Manajemen kehadiran guru di lingkungan sekolah merupakan aspek yang sangat penting dalam menjaga kelancaran proses pendidikan dan pengajaran. Namun, masih banyak sekolah yang menghadapi tantangan dalam mencatat absensi guru dengan akurat dan efisien. Sistem absensi manual yang umumnya digunakan seringkali rentan terhadap kesalahan manusia dan memakan waktu yang cukup lama. Di sisi lain, sistem absensi fingerprint, meskipun lebih canggih, juga memiliki beberapa kendala seperti memerlukan interaksi langsung dari pengguna dan dapat menyebabkan antrian di tempat absensi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan solusi inovatif dalam manajemen kehadiran guru dengan memanfaatkan teknologi terkini. Pendekatan yang diusulkan adalah pengembangan prototipe sistem otomatis pendeteksian kehadiran guru menggunakan teknologi Bluetooth. Prototipe ini dirancang menggunakan Set Top Box (STB) yang telah diformat ulang menjadi Arm Linux Ubuntu dan dilengkapi dengan antena Bluetooth. Sistem akan secara terus-menerus melakukan pemindaian terhadap kehadiran perangkat Bluetooth guru di sekitar area sekolah. Ketika sistem mendeteksi keberadaan perangkat Bluetooth lain, data MAC address dari perangkat tersebut akan dicocokkan dengan database yang telah terdaftar sebelumnya. Jika data MAC address tersebut ditemukan, guru tersebut akan dianggap hadir di sekolah. Dengan demikian, pengembangan sistem ini mencari solusi inovasi baru untuk mengatasi tantangan dalam pencatatan absensi guru. Pendekatan menggunakan teknologi Bluetooth yang otomatis dan tanpa interaksi langsung dari pengguna diharapkan dapat mengatasi keterbatasan sistem absensi manual dan fingerprint. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi efisien dan praktis dalam manajemen kehadiran guru di lingkungan sekolah, serta meningkatkan efektivitas operasional sekolah secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

PT Transformasi Data Digital (HostData) operates as a web hosting and domain service provider in Indonesia, facing recurring challenges related to DNS propagation. Clients often encounter issues accessing their newly acquired domains or updated DNS records due to a lack of understanding of the propagation process. In response, HostData has developed a DNS Propagation checking system to streamline verification for clients and its support team. This system allows clients to monitor DNS propagation independently, acknowledging variations based on their Internet Service Provider (ISP). Leveraging six local ISPs—Telkomsel, Indosat, XL, Three, Smartfren, and Indihome—the system utilizes repurposed Set Top Boxes (STBs) as mini servers for real-time DNS value verification. These STBs connect via Zerotier to a Virtual Private Server (VPS) with a public IP address, serving as the central control unit. This innovative solution enables clients to confirm domain resolution and serves as an educational tool, offering insights into DNS propagation mechanics.

Abstract

Background. Online learning is a learning system that is not conducted face-to-face between teachers and students. Preference is a tendency made for one thing compared to another. Therefore, one's view on online learning will also vary. The quality and quantity of learning materials that are in accordance with the curriculum, standards, competencies, and student needs will differentiate students' preferences for online learning. Purpose This research aims to find out the reasons why students prefer online learning or not, and also to find out the factors that significantly influence the effectiveness of online learning. On the other hand, to analyse the appropriate strategy used in the use of media so that it is suitable for learning and can also be accessed by all individuals. Method. The method used in this research is quantitative. A method in which data is collected in the form of testable numbers. The data obtained is the number of responses. The data is obtained from the distribution of questionnaires containing questions regarding the analysis of factors affecting students' preferences for online learning. The statement presented in the questionnaire is a form of google form. The data will be processed through the oneway anova test on the SPSS application which was previously imported into excel. Results. The result of this study states that online learning can be done in schools. Online learning is also a way of learning without face-to-face in sharing information or communicating. Online learning has advantages and disadvantages depending on various factors that influence students' preferences for online learning. In addition, it also provides a strategic overview for teachers and students of the situation and what things will be prepared later. Conclusion This research can be concluded that the preference or choice of each student is different depending on how he/she views the subject. Online learning can be run effectively with good cooperation. Online learning will be implemented if there is support from all parties, be it students, teachers, parents, and even schools. Adjustment in learning is also easier for female students than male students.

Abstract

Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) di Desa Buntar, Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah, menjadi wujud nyata pengabdian mahasiswa Universitas Dharma AUB kepada masyarakat. Dalam konteks pandemi COVID-19, KKN memainkan peran penting dalam memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan ekonomi dan sosial di desa tersebut. Melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dan interaksi langsung, program KKN berhasil mengidentifikasi dan menangani berbagai permasalahan, termasuk pengembangan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM), kondisi lingkungan, serta respon masyarakat terhadap kehadiran mahasiswa. Dukungan penuh dari pemerintah desa dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat menjadi faktor kunci keberhasilan pelaksanaan program. Kesimpulannya, KKN di Desa Buntar memberikan pengalaman berharga bagi mahasiswa dan berkontribusi positif dalam mempercepat pembangunan serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

Background. The use of the Internet of Things (IoT) in Ubiquitous Learning in higher education is increasingly important along with the development of 21st century internet technology. Reliance on the internet for information creates a new paradigm in learning, where IoT plays a key role supporting an equitable and integrated learning experience. Universities as centers of higher education need to adopt solutions using IoT technology to overcome problems in the context of Ubiquitous Learning. Purpose. The purpose of this research is to identify solutions that can be adopted by universities to overcome Internet of Things problems in the context of Ubiquitous Learning. Method. This research uses a quantitative methodology with a survey method approach. A total of 30 students were randomly selected as samples to provide adequate representation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles Huberman technique, involving the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. A questionnaire was developed to explore students’ perceptions and experiences regarding the use of IoT in the learning process. Results. From the analysis results, the majority of students show a good understanding of IoT concepts and are actively involved in learning using this technology. Although some face obstacles, the majority of respondents believe that the use of IoT can increase learning effectiveness and really hope that there will be increased student engagement through IoT technology. These results provide a strong basis for developing better implementation strategies, encouraging universities to continue to innovate in integrating IoT technology to improve student learning experiences in the future.   Conclusion. Universities are advised to continue to innovate, integrating IoT strategically to improve the student learning experience. This shows the significant impact of IoT in designing the future of learning in higher education.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this research is the vulnerability of servers to Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, which lead to disruptions, financial losses, and the loss of user trust due to frequent downtime. To mitigate this issue, a cost-effective solution utilizing Nginx reverse proxy servers was proposed. This research aimed to enhance server resilience against DDoS threats while minimizing operational costs. The primary contribution of this study is the introduction of an innovative approach to DDoS mitigation, emphasizing practical implementation steps. The methodology involved configuring a public server with Nginx and DDoS protection capabilities alongside setting up a private server in an office environment. A reverse proxy using Nginx was deployed to filter incoming traffic and counter DDoS attacks. The main outcomes of the research demonstrate successful mitigation of DDoS attacks, significantly reducing their impact on the private server. Testing on both Layers 3 and Layer 4 confirmed the effectiveness of the approach. The methodology's emphasis on practical implementation steps ensures seamless integration into existing infrastructure. In conclusion, this research offers a practical and budget-friendly solution for organizations seeking to enhance their resilience against DDoS threats. By leveraging Nginx reverse proxy servers, servers lacking dedicated protection can effectively safeguard against DDoS attacks, highlighting the importance of proactive measures in cybersecurity.

Abstract

Community service activities include mentoring MSMEs in business licensing, simple financial management training, and utilizing digital technology for product marketing. This community service program aims to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs and strengthen the local economy based on available resources. This community service method uses Participation Action Research (PAR), with a qualitative descriptive approach with participatory-based implementation in helping to develop the potential of Plupuh Village, Plupuh District, Sragen Regency. The results of the community service show that community service activities are running smoothly with the main strategy for developing MSMEs in Plupuh Village including strengthening institutions, increasing human resource capacity, and utilizing digital technology. Digitalization of MSMEs has proven to be an effective solution in facing increasingly tight market competition. Strengthening partnerships with the government, private sector, and universities is also important to support the sustainability of MSMEs. This partnership can provide wider access to resources, funding, and technical guidance needed to increase the competitiveness of local products. The expected results of this community service program can be a reference for the development of community-based economic models in other similar areas.
