The research objective wasÂ to test and analyze the Effect of Current Ratio, Debt to Asset Ratio, Inventory Turnover, Company Size on Profitability in Property and Real Estate Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2012-2016 partially or simultaneously. The research used quantitative method. The population used in this study was the Property and Real Estate Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a total of 46 companies in the period 2012-2016. The sample in this study used data takingÂ by means of purposive sampling. The number of samples used in this study were 31 companies with 155 observations. The results obtained were Current Ratio partially did not have a significant effect on Profitability. Partially Debt to Assets Ratio had no significant effect on profitability. Inventory Turnover in parallel l did not have significant effect on profitability. The size of the company partially had a positive and not significant effect on profitability. Current Ratio, Debt to Assets Ratio, Inventory Turnover and Company Size simultaneously did not have significant effect on Profitability in Property and Real Estate Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2012-2016.Keywords: Current ratio (CR), Debt to assets ratio (DAR), Inventory Turnover, Company Size, Profitability

The objectives of this research are to find out the students ability in expressing gratitude and appreciation by using Think-Pair-Share Strategy and to find out the achievement levels of the students ability in expressing gratitude and appreciation by using think pair share strategy at the sixth grade students of SD Yabes School. The good teacher is able to find the good strategy in the teaching and learning process so that the students will interest to study English. One of strategy used in teaching speaking ability in express gratitude and appreciation is Think-Pair-Share Strategy. The population of this study was all of the sixth grade students of SD Yabes School which consist of 30 students, all the population used as the sample so that the sample consist of 30 students.This study use quantitative research using an experimental design and control design, the examiner intentionally revised appearance of the difference and then it was examined how the result was. This research required two groups of student namely experimental group and control group. experimental group was treated with Think-Pair-Share Strategy during speaking. where as control group was treated without Think-Pair-Share. From the total score pre test of the experimental class (1.600) and the total score pre test of the control class (1.360) can be concluded that the achievement of both group was the same. After getting the treatment (Thik-Pair-Share), the total score post-test of the experimental (2.337) was higher than the total score post-test of the control class (1.686) which did not get the treatment. It can be said that teaching Think-Pair-Share gave positive effect on the students, speaking achievement in expressing gratitude and appreciation Key Words : Gratitude and Appreciation, Think-Pair-Share Strategy

Sosialisasi Anti Perundungan (Antibullying) Pada SMA Advent Laurakit Kaban Jaheini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman warga sekolah khususnya siswa-siswi tentang bullying. Kegiatan Sosialisasi ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh mitra mengingat maraknya dan terus meningkatnya jumlah kasus korban bullying setiap tahunnya. Melalui kegiatan Sosialisasi ini mitra diberikakan sosialisasi tentang bullying serta dampak negatif dari perbuatan bullying terhadap korban. Kegiatan Sosialisasi ini dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pada tahap perencanaan dilakukan analisis kebutuhan mitra diperolah informasi tentang masalah-masalah yang dihadapi mitra serta kebutuhannya terkait dengan pemahaman mitra tentang perundungan atau bullying. Pada tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan pre-test untuk mengukur kemapuan awal mitra, kemudian nara sumber melakukan brainstorming sebelum memberi penjelasan materi tentang metode perundungan atau bullying. Diakhir penjelasan peserta sosialisasi diberi penguatan serta dilakukan umpan balik tentang pemahaman peserta terhadap materi yang telah disampaikan. Untuk mengukur pemahaman mitra terhadap hasil sosialisasi mitra diberikan soal post-test yang berkaitan dengan materi Sosialisasi dengan hasil terdapat peningkatan nilai post-test dengan nilai peningkatan 36% sehingga dapat disimpukan bahwa hasil Sosialisasi ini secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mitra tentang perundungan atau bullying. Dari hasil tanggapan mitra juga diperoleh 88% mitra merasa puas dan ingin kembali dilibatkan pada kegiatan sejenis dimasa yang akan datang. Kata Kunci: Sosialisasi Anti Perundungan (Anti-bullying), perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi, pemahaman mitra tentang perundungan. ABSTRACT This Community Service activity aims to increase the understanding of teachers as well as students of SMA Lau Rakit Kaban Jahe. This activity was very much beneficial to the partnersdue to the increasing number of bullying victims cases every year. The activity was conducted in the form of socialization. Partners were given material about bullying and the negative impact of it as well. This activity was divided into three stages, as there were planning, implementation and evaluation. On the planning stage, an analysis of partner needs was carried out to obtain the information related to the problems faced by partners as well as their needs related to the understanding of bullying. On the implementation stage, a pre-test was carried out to measure the partners' pre-understanding. The next step the partners were brainstormed before giving the material explaination. At the end of the explanation, the participants were given reinforcement and feedback of their understanding, even the program of antibullying should be sustainable specifically at schools. Post-test was conducted at the end of the session to measure the result of the presentation.The results showed that the partners’ understanding was increased of 36% compared with the pre-tes. From the results of partner’s responses, it was found that 88% of partners were satisfied and wanted to be involved again in similar activities in the future. The purposes of this study are: 1. To find out types of error that students make in writing English essay, and 2. To analyze how students make theerrors. The study was limited on analyzing the errors on essay writing as one of question forms on students‟ monthly exam in terms of grammar errorsdealing with the subject-verb agreement and tenses. One way to address morphological, syntactic, and lexical difficulties to learners is through erroranalysis, which consists of three stages: 1) identification of errors, 2) classification of errors, and 3) identification of the causes of errors (Ferch,Haastrup, & Phillipson, 1984:22). The data of this study were collected through observation in form of documentation. The data were analyzed byidentifying the errors that students made in their writing in terms of subject verb agreement and tenses, then classifying the sources of errors based onKrashen‟ theory which classifies them into addition, ordering, mis information and deletion. The results of this study showed that thestudents still often make errors on their writing. It can be seen also in the result that the errors in terms of tense is more dominant found in thestudents‟ essay writing than the errors in terms of subject-verb agreement. There are 53.2 % percent of errors in terms of tense and the rest 46.8 % areerrors in terms of subject-verb agreement. The findings of this study showed that the number of errors made by the students on their writing is in line withthe results of the previous studies. The 186 errors in both terms subject-verb agreement and tense out of 473 total clauses has proven those studies.

Speaking is considered as a necessary skill because of its essential role in facilitating students to master English. It enables students to express themselves creatively, imaginatively and to communicate with others effectively. To master speaking ability, students must be trained to use English in communication orally. One of the approriate and comprehensive strategies for teaching speaking is Debate Tehnique. The objective of this study is to find out whether the students’ speaking skill improves after being taught through Debate Technique or not. The strategy applied in this study was the aspect of speaking and debate technique. This study was conducted by using Quantitative Research. This study was done at SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan. There were 40 students taken as the sample in this study. The data were collected by giving speaking test to the students. The result of the test showed that the mean of score of the post-test was higher than the mean score of pre-test that was from 70 become 78.75. This means students’ speaking skill was improved after being thought by using Debate Technique.

Improving Students’ Vocabulary Achievement through Anagram Rina Herawati Barus; Jonris Tampubolon

This study is aimed at improving the students’ vocabulary achievement through anagram. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of this study was the 2009/2010 ten grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pancur Batu which consisted of 30 students. For collecting data, the instrument used quantitative data (vocabulary test) and qualitative data (diary notes, interview sheet and observation sheet). Based on the data, it was found that the students’ score increased from the pre test until the post test of the first and the second cycle. In the pre test, the mean of the students was (54,93), in the post test of the first cycle was (68) and the mean of the students of the second cycle was (82,46). The students’ score also increased from pre test to post test cycle I until post test cycle II. It was found that teaching vocabulary through anagram can improve the students’ vocabulary achievement. It is concluded that teaching vocabulary through anagram is significantly effective in teaching vocabulary. Keywords: Classroom Action Research, Vocabulary Achievement, Anagram

Feeling fed up and bored in learning mathematics occurs because of the imbalance between the right brain and the left brain, by forcing the brain to work very hard, can cause fatigue in the brain which results in a decrease in the concentration of students, especially mathematics. One method that can be used to increase concentration that can make the brain can relax in learning mathematics is to listen to classical music. The results of this study showed that there was a difference in the average grade of experimental classes that used accompaniment music while learning and control classes with learning without accompaniment music, obtained the average score of the experimental class posttest was 88.00 while the control class was 76.00 and the test calculation of the difference in the average score of the experimental class posttest and control classes was obtained tcount = 2.74 < ttable = 2.05, Which means that music affects concentration and improvement of student learning outcomes. This article makes the case that earlier explanations of SLA shouldn't be discounted. Instead, when combined, they offer a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the acquisition process. The ability of second language acquisition (SLA) to naturally adjust to various situations present in both internal and external settings provides evidence in favor of the assertion that SLA is a sophisticated adaptive system. On the basis of this comprehension, frequently debated second language theories, such as behaviorism, will be viewed as explanations for individual components of SLA. Excerpts from a few English language learning histories are given as examples of how students explain their learning processes in order to support this idea. The last assertion is that SLA should be seen as a chaotic/complex system. Keywords: Second Language Acquisition; Language Learning Histories

The Effectiveness of Using Sequence Picture Media in Teaching EFL Students in Writing Procedure Text Jonris Tampubolon; Edi Suprayetno

Teaching EFL students are both challenging and demanding as English is neither the students’ mother tongue nor their second language. Therefore, it is essentially required to select an effective way or technique in achieving the objectives of the lesson. This study was aimed to investigate the use of sequence picture technique and its effectiveness in teaching EFL students how to write a procedure text. This study was conducted by using quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest design at Universitas Prima Indonesia. The steps involve administering pretest measuring the dependent variable, applying the experimental treatment X to the subjects; and administering a posttest again measuring the dependent variable. There were 40 students taken as the subject of the study. The data were collected through a pretest and a posttest. The result on this study showed that the students’ responses and performances were improved. It can be seen from the finding which showed that students’ percentage in using the language components such as grammar, sequence words, commands or imperative sentences, and adverbial phrases accurately. The result of the questionnaire also showed that the students considered sequence picture technique was effective in helping them write procedure text correctly. The purpose of this study was to describe the students in tenth grade at SMK Telkom 2 Medan's ability to use conjunction. The study's goal is to find out how well the students use conjunction and what obstacles they face. The tenth-grade students at SMK Telkom 2 Medan were the focus of the investigation. The research used qualitative method and analyze data. In collecting the data the researcher used test and interview. From the analysis of data, it was found that there were 4 (13,3%) students were good and categorized able, and 10 (33,3%) students were poor and categorized unable and 16 (53,3%) students were very poor and categorized unable. In this case, students were unable to learn use conjunction. It is concluded that analysis of students’ ability in using conjunction.
