Abstract

The purposes of this research were to determine: (1) is there a significant difference between the mathematical deductive reasoning abilities of students before and after learning of modeling the way (2) whether learning of modeling the way can improve the mathematical deductive reasoning abilities of students. The research was a quasi-experimental research, with one group pretest-posttest design. The location of this research was in MA NW Kabar, Sakra Sub-District, East Lombok Regency. The sample of this research were students of class XI MA NW Kabar. Instrument of this research was the mathematical deductive reasoning abilities test. The data of this research was analyzed using descriptive statistics with paired sampel t-test. The results of the research indicated as follows: (1) There is a significant difference between the mathematical deductive reasoning abilities of students before and after learning of modeling the way; (2) Based on the average and percentage of the mathematical deductive reasoning abilities test of students, the average of pretest is 49.48 with 40% of the students have the mathematical deductive reasoning abilities with good category, the average of posttest is 68.09 with 80% of the students have the mathematical deductive reasoning abilities with good category, it shows that the learning of modeling the way can improve the mathematical deductive reasoning abilities of students.

Abstract

Penetapan kawasan Mandalika sebagai Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) memerlukan berbagai infrastruktur sebagai salah satu sarana dan prasarana untuk menunjang perkembangan KEK. Bentuk infrastruktur yang dibangun berupa jalan bypass yang menghubungkan antara BIL-Mandalika. Pembangunan jalan BIL-Mandalika berada pada lapisan tanah lempung ekspansif sehingga rawan terjadi penurunan. Jalan bypass BIL-Mandalika dilengkapi dengan pembangunan jembatan underpass dijalan perlintasan dan sungai. Adanya  timbunan jembatan underpass menimbulkan permasalahan karena terjadi amblesan dan penurunan pada jembatan tersebut. Untuk melihat seberapa besar penurunan pada jembatan, maka dilakukan analisis dengan simulasi numeris menggunakan software plaxis. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui deformasi yang terjadi pada timbunan jembatan underpass KM. 41 BIL-Mandalika dengan simulasi Plaxis. Metode yang digunakan yaitu melakukan kajian data laboratorium sebagai parameter input dalam simulasi. Simulasi Plaxis di idealisasi 2D pada kondisi plane strain menggunakan model Mohr-Coulomb untuk timbunan dan tanah dasar, sedangkan sheetpile di dekati dengan model linear elastic. Simulasi numeris dengan Plaxis dilakukan dalam kondisi timbunan jembatan underpass eksisting dan penambahan beban kendaraan. Hasil simulasi Plaxis menunjukkan telah terjadi penurunan pada timbunan jembatan underpass karena berada pada lapisan tanah lempung ekspansif. Penurunan timbunan jembatan underpass semakin meningkat setelah pemberian beban kendaraan 25 ton, peningkatan penurunan yang terjadi sebesar 38% dari kondisi timbunan jembatan eksisting.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide additional lessons for elementary school children. This Studying together collaborates with the youth of Syubban Syu'ada, MI NW library, and SDN 1 Kabar. The methods used in this program are speech, learning while playing, group work methods, etc. The target to be achieved in this activity is that they fill the time at home during online learning with useful things so that children do not be left behind in understanding the material presented online. The results of this program are students understand the material as well as know some easy and fun method of learning that was not given by the school.

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to describe: 1) the effect of fully online learning to the mathematical reasoning abilities of students; 2) the response of the students to the application of fully online learning. The research was a mixed-method using quantitative and qualitative methods with one group pretest-posttest design. There were 32 students of class XI MIA MA NW Wanasaba, Wanasaba Sub-District, East Lombok Regency as the sample. Instrument of this research was the mathematical reasoning abilities essay test consists of 10 questions on learning materials of limit function, observation and interviews. The quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics with paired sampel t-test. The results of this research showed that: 1) according to the results of data analysis, it was discovered the value of Sig. (2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05, it means that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, this indicated that there was a difference between the pretest and posttest average. Based on the descriptive statistics, the average of pretest score was 71.03 higher than the posttest score was 59.97. It can be concluded that the fully online learning was no more effective to the mathematical reasoning abilities of students. 2) there were 16% of the students gave a positive response to the application of fully online learning, 84% of the others prefer the blended learning and students gave a less positive response to the application of fully online learning and it was considered less helpful in practicing the mathematical reasoning abilities of students.

Abstract

The research aims to know the effect of realistic mathematics learning in mathematics-II courses seen from the learning styles of Civil Engineering students. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental with a 2 x 3 factorial design. The sample consists of 30 second-semester students of Civil Engineering of Mandalika university of Education. The instruments in the research were a learning style questionnaire and an essay test that contained questions for mathematics II courses. The test of data analysis using two-way analysis of variance. The results showed that the learning method and learning style had a significant effect on student learning outcomes in mathematics II courses. The influence of learning methods was 26.8% and the influence of student learning styles was 37.8%. Based on the marginal average, the average of students with realistic mathematics learning methods was 70.73 and the average of students with conventional methods was 65.93. In a class that was treated with realistic mathematics learning, the average of students with visual learning styles was 75.80, the average of students with auditory learning styles was 70.80 and the average of students with kinesthetic learning styles was 65.60. It was concluded that in mathematics II courses, the application of realistic mathematics learning was effective in improving student learning outcomes and students with visual learning styles had better learning outcomes than students with auditory and kinesthetic learning styles and students auditory learning styles had better learning outcomes than students with kinesthetic learning styles.
