Abstract

Social media is the most popular service at the moment. Its users can communicate with each other, interact, share, network, and various other activities. Currently, one of the social media that can be used easily by students is WhatsApp. More effort is needed to find creative ways to increase students’ activity in learning. Looking the development of technology and the increasing number of users, the use of social media such as WhatsApp is very appropriate to be applied in the learning process. The use of WhatsApp in the learning process will give students the ability to get more information, lecturers, to be connected with study groups and other education systems with the same topics and problems, will make the learning process more interesting. This research was conducted to look the role of whatsApp as a leraning media in studying research methodology to increase student learning activities. The purposes of this research is to know to what extent knowing the media based on WhatsApp instant messaging application can be used to improve activity learning in studying research methodology. The data was analysed using descriptive statistical method by using percentage. There is 94 % of student improve their learning outcome in studying research methodology. The result of data analyzes shown there are significant effects of the role of WhatsApp as a learning media in studying research methodology to increase student learning activities.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the readiness of students in the learning process by using digital devices. This study uses quantitative methods with descriptive data analysis techniques. The subjects of this study were students of the PAI STAIN Tengku Dirundeng Meulaboh study program with a total of 38 people. The quantity of data obtained online by using google form. The results of this study indicate that the average student learning readiness in digital learning during the Covid-19 pandemic obtained a percentage of readiness of 69.4%. This shows that most of the students have good readiness in following the lesson boldly. An effective digital classroom is indispensable in the success of learning objectives. Kata-kata kunci: Learning readiness,online learning, digital era, Covid-19 pandemic. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan perangkat digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis data deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa prodi PAI STAIN Tengku Dirundeng Meulaboh dengan jumlah 38 orang. Data kuantitatif diperoleh secara online dengan menggunakan google form. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa  rata-rata kesiapan belajar mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran secara digital pada masa pandemi Covid-19  memperoleh persentase kesiapan sebesar 69,4 %. Hal itu menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki kesiapan yang baik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran daring. Kelas digital yang efektif sangat diperlukan dalam keberhasilan tujuan pembelajaran.Kata-kata kunci: kesiapan belajar,pembelajaran daring,era digital,pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

Media is needed in teaching so that students more easily understand the subject matter being taught. Learning media also includes a part of learning that affects teaching and learning interactions in the classroom. This study aims to determine the implementation of infocus media theme 5 on students of MIN 16 West Aceh and to determine student learning outcomes of MIN 16 West Aceh theme 5 using infocus media. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). Data collection was carried out directly by practicing learning using infocus media in two research cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2. This can be seen from the increase in student learning outcomes, namely in the initial conditions the percentage of student learning completeness is 39.10% increasing to 58.33% after the implementation of cycle 1 and increasing to 79.41% after the implementation of learning cycle 2.

Abstract

In this digital era, the student evaluation process can be carried out anywhere and at any time, this makes teachers think creatively about using information and communication technology in student evaluation activities. One method used by teachers in the student evaluation process is by using the Google Form application. This research is about "Effectiveness of Using Digital Media in Evaluation of Student Learning at MIS Nurul Falah, West Aceh Regency". The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using Google Form digital media in evaluating student learning at MIS Nurul Falah, West Aceh Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach and the type of research used is descriptive research. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results of this research can be concluded that the use of Google Form digital media in evaluating student learning at MIS Nurul Falah, West Aceh Regency is considered very effective with a percentage of 84.8%. Therefore, Google Form evaluation media can be an evaluation media option that is considered effective, practical and efficient when it is used in learning.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the concept of caring for millennial students in modern Islamic boarding schools. Along with the changing times experienced by Indonesian society, education in Islamic boarding schools has also developed. The research method used is literature review with a qualitative approach. From this research, it can be concluded that globalization in this millennial era has made their generation inseparable from the use of technology, the internet, social media and so on. This makes Islamic boarding schools modernize to meet the needs of this millennial generation community. Islamic boarding schools exist to provide better care for their millennial students. Various developments were carried out, including the integration of formal education and Islamic boarding schools, mastery of foreign languages, entrepreneurship, the use of information technology, various kinds of competitions and other training. This certainly has a positive impact on millennial students in dealing with changing times. Besides that, Islamic boarding schools must provide parenting support for students by giving freedom to students to act or be active in positive ways. Caregivers also provide supervision and direction and provide awards such as giving praise and motivation and even prizes, so that students continue to carry out activities that are even more developed. The rules and prohibitions on caregivers of students are also given a written explanation that is firm in nature, but their implementation is still flexible or is still tolerated. Furthermore, caregivers can also give freedom to students to do activities and make friends with anyone, but caregivers also carry out supervision and monitoring through senior students. Finally, caregivers provide motivations and advice and do not always comply with the wishes of students.

Abstract

Academic achievement has been a crucial aspect in for the students to have a successful learning process. It requires learning satisfaction and social support in every learning step. This research aims to: 1) describe the level of learning satisfaction, social support, and academic achievement; 2) analyze the differences in learning satisfaction, social support, and academic achievement, and; 3) analyze the influence of learning satisfaction and social support on academic achievement. This research uses quantitative methods with a survey approach. The population is 430 students of the English department at Islamic Colleges in Aceh. The simple random sampling technique functions to take the sample of 239 students (43 male and 196 female students). The instruments used in data collection are the Learning Satisfaction Scale, Social Support Scale, and Great Point Academic documentation. The data analysis uses descriptive statistics, MANOVA, correlation, and Multiple Linear Regression. The results show that the learning satisfaction, social support, and academic achievement levels are in the high category. University differences affect learning satisfaction, social support, and academic achievement levels. Finally, learning satisfaction and social support have a simultaneous impact on academic achievement.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah memberikan dampak terhadap pendidikan, salah satunya adalah penerapan pembelajaran sistem daring yang berlanjut hingga masa new normal. Hal tersebut dapat mempengaruhi minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui dampak pandemi covid-19 terhadap minat belajar siswa di era new normal di MIN 2 Aceh Barat, 2) mengetahui kendala-kendala siswa dalam belajar di era new normal, dan 3) untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di era new normal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru yang berjumlah 2 orang dan 10 orang siswa MIN 2 Aceh Barat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya pandemi memberikan dampak terhadap minat belajar siswa di era new normal. Hal tersebut terjadi karena proses pembelajaran dari tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh. Hal ini menyebabkan minat belajar siswa menurun. Sedangkan kendala belajar yang dihadapi siswa di era new normal di MIN 2 Aceh Barat adalah memakai masker ketika proses pembelajaran, hal tersebut membuat siswa merasa pengap sehingga menganggu proses pembelajaran yang mengakibatkan minat belajar siswa menurun. Kemudian pembagian Shift juga menjadi kendala karena siswa menjadi malas sekolah serta waktu belajar yang dibatasi. Adapun strategi guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di era new normal di MIN 2 Aceh Barat adalah dengan mewujudkan suasana pembelajaran yang dapat merangsang minat siswa, guru juga merancang pembelajaran yang menarik, menyenangkan serta mengaitkan pelajaran dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Selain itu, guru juga mengembangkan model dan metode pembelajaran agar membuat suasana kelas menjadi menyenangkan sehingga minat belajar siswa meningkat.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of psychological, social and financial factors on job satisfaction using case studies on 183 State Madrasah Aliyah (MAN) teachers in Bireuen Regency. This research takes the form of a survey with a questionnaire instrument as a data collection tool, using associative descriptive research. Problem analysis through a statistical approach, namely the path analysis model. The results of the research show that (1) there is a causal relationship between psychological and social factors of 0.593, (2) there is a causal relationship between social and financial factors of 0.562, (3) there is a causal relationship between teacher finances and psychological factors of 0.514. So the magnitude: (a) the direct and indirect influence of psychological factors on teacher job satisfaction is 50.2%, (b) the direct and indirect influence of social factors on teacher job satisfaction is 48.3%, and (c) the direct and Indirect financial factors on teacher job satisfaction were 53.38%. Apart from that (d), it can be seen that the influence of psychological, social and financial factors together on the job satisfaction of MAN teachers in Bireuen Regency is 61%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Peran guru merupakan sesuatu yang dilakukan guru dalam mendesain pembelajaran. Dalam masa new normal minat siswa dalam menjalankan aktivitas belajar di sekolah menjadi menurun karena pengaruh selama masa covid-19. Untuk itu ketika masa new normal ini guru harus mampu memotivasi siswa dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dengan cara mengkreativitaskan proses pembelajaran. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kreativitas guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dan kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa MIN 17 Aceh Barat di masa new normal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan metode kualitatif. Dalam mengumpulkan data penulis menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi serta menempuh teknik analisis kualitatif. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dilakukan dengan mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran dengan penggunaan metode yang menarik sesuai dengan materi yang diajarkan dan juga melibatkan siswa belajar secara aktif. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam meningkatkan minat siswa di MIN 17 Aceh Barat adalah tingkat daya serap siswa yang berbeda-beda, selain itu karena siswa kurang bimbingan dari orang tua di rumah sehingga menghambat proses guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar di sekolah. Kendala tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dari diri siswa dan faktor eksternal dari siswa itu sendiri. Abstract: The teacher's role is something the teacher does in designing learning. In the new normal period, students' interest in carrying out learning activities at school decreases due to the influence of the covid-19 period. For this reason, during this new normal period, teachers must be able to motivate students in increasing student interest in learning by being creative in the learning process. The aim of this research is to determine the creativity of teachers in increasing students’ interest in learning and the obstacles faced by teachers in increasing student interest in MIN 17 Aceh Barat in the new normal period. This research is field research with a qualitative method approach. In collecting data, the author used interview, observation and documentation techniques and used qualitative analysis techniques. From the research that has been done, it showed that the creativity of teachers in developing learning to increase students' interest in learning is done by developing learning strategies by using interesting methods according to the material being taught and also involving students in active learning. The obstacle faced in increasing student interest in MIN 17 Aceh Barat is the level of absorption of students who are different, in addition because students is lack of parent’s guidance at home, thus hampering the teacher's process of increasing interest in learning at school. These constraints are influenced by internal and external factors from students themselves.

Abstract

This paper is a response to the limitations of previous studies regarding teamwork and its relationship with effectiveness in the workplace, communication in teamwork, and the role of leadership in teamwork. This paper will find local wisdom narratives regarding teamwork principles so that they can guide actions when working in teams. The research method used was qualitative with an ethnographic approach, conducting interviews with 12 people using a purposive sampling technique, who were selected based on expertise such as cultural figures, Gayo traditional councils, academics, community and religious leaders, education practitioners, and managers. Ethnographic data analysis emphasizes understanding the cultural context so that it can be seen how everything is interconnected and meaningful. Data were analyzed through three stages, namely data restatement, data description, and data interpretation, and ended with a conclusion. The results of the research show that the principles of teamwork are based on local Gayo wisdom, namely the importance of having a vision, being well organized, making decisions through consensus, ethics, mutual welfare, altruism, common goals, coherence, values, meaningful, proportional, job assignment and specialization, monism or non-overlapping, integrity, consolidation, synergy, esprit de corps, solidarity, cohesion, loyalty, effective leadership, interdependence, interconnectedness, mutual trust, mutual development, collaboration, mutual benefit, normative, optimistic, firm, empathetic, harmonious, full of affection, mutual respect.
