Semakin meningkatkan permintaan masyarakatterhadap daglng ayam dan telur menyebabkan ayam menladisalah satu primaaona di usaha peternakan rdryat. Keberhasilanpetemakan ssngpt ditentukan oleh tiga hal yaitu breeding, feedingian management. Managernent adalah masalah yang le*aitandengan t"i.l"kt.nu ka"drng' perawatatL pemasaxall dan lag-laino"ngun kondisi kandang yang baik diharapkan tcrcspai efisiensiptoduksi ayam yang tinggi. Mijen sebagai t't* Tgiaerah peternakan unggas di kota Semarang memiliki lrekhlsantersendiri. Berbagai pou aan sistem perkandangan dilaksanaksnoleh beberapa Farm yang berbeda. Dari yang secara konvensjonalsampai dengan sisiem perkurdangan modern secara "closehouie". Namun betulkah untuk mencapai hasil produksimaksimal harus selalu ditempuh dengan sistem perkandanganyang mahal dan modern ? Pada dasarnya setiap sistem 'perkandangan yang dilaksanakan rnenuntut -syarat-syaratpenanganan tertentu-pula. Artinya bukan tidak mungkin denganLr"a"ng yang konvensional masih dapat diharapkan tmsilproduksi yang oPtimal.Ktte.kata kunci : Perkandangan Ayam Ras, daerah pantai'mijen Semarang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of additional ginger, bay leaf, and turmeric in rations and lighting treatment against blood cholesterol and abdominal fat broiler. Subjects used in the study were 100 DOC unsex. The design used in this research is Randomized Complete Random (RAL) with 3 x 2 factorial pattern with Factor A of herbal medicine 3 levels of sedangkn factor B of lighting treatment for 2 levels with 4 replications, each replication there are 4-5 broiler chickens. The treatments in this study were JC1: commercial feed + 2% ginger + light 1L: 3D, JC2: commercial ration feed + 2% ginger + light 1L: 2D, SC1: commercial feed + 3% bay leaves + 1L light: 3D , SC2: commercial ration feed + 3% bay leaves + light 1L: 2D, KC1: commercial ration feed + 0.2% turmeric + light 1L: 3D, KC2: commercial ration feed + 0.2% turmeric + light 1L: 2D . The research variables studied were blood cholesterol and abdominal fat. The data obtained were analyzed by using ANOVA with 5% level, the result showed no significant effect (P> 0,05) on the treatment of blood cholesterol and abdominal fat of broiler chicken. It can be concluded that the administration of ginger, bay leaf, and turmeric in ration and lighting treatment does not affect blood cholesterol levels and abdominal fat of broiler chickens

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the effect of giving silage of fish waste to the level of meat fat and the abdominal fat of duck in Magelang. The role of duck farming is very important to provide the protein of Indonesian people for meat and eggs. The use of feeding ingredients that are easily available at relatively cheaper prices but still good nutritional content for the production, one of them is by utilizing silage of fish waste. Fish waste silage also contains the necessary ingredients for ducks. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD). The study consisted of 3 treatments there is P0 (control), P1 (fish silage 5%), P2 (fish silage 10%), and 4 repetitions. The analysis using one-way ANOVA with a level of 5%, if there is a difference, then Duncan's Multiple Distance Test is performed. The results showed that silage application of fish waste did not significantly affect the fat content of meat (P> 0.05). There was no significant effect on abdominal fat levels (P> 0.05). The result showed that the addition of fish silage food resulted in the normal level of meet fat and abdominal fat.

Abstract

Tilapia was one of the freshwater fish commodities that were widely consumed, so the demand for tilapia increased and impacted the high price of tilapia feed. Therefore, maggots can be used as additional fish feed, and recently there have been many variations of pond types in tilapia farming. This study aimed to determine the interaction between pond types and maggot allotments for protein and fat in tilapia meat. This study used two types of pools: tarpaulin and drum. The subjects used in this study were tilapia, with as many as 30 fish per pond. The dependent variables in this study were the protein and fat of tilapia meat. This study used the factorial method with a completely randomized design (RAL) with four treatments; each of the four tests consisted of A1B1 (Tarpaulin pool and maggots), A1B2 (Tarpaulin pool without maggots), A2B1 (Drum pool and maggots), and A2B2 (Drum pool without maggots). Data analysis was done using ANOVA with a significance level of 5% if there is an effect continued Duncan test. The results of this study showed no noticeable effect on meat protein (0.253>0.05) and meat fat (0.067>0.05) tilapia.

Abstract

Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan salah satu hasil perikanan air tawar unggulan bagi masyarakat Indonesia, budidaya ikan nila secara intensif belum menghasilkan nilai sintasan dan rasio konversi pakan yang optimal. Sintasan dan rasio konversi pakan ikan nila dipengaruhi oleh kualitas dan kuantitas pakan, serangan patogen, dan kualitas air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jamu probiotik herbal terhadap sintasan dan rasio konversi pakan ikan nila. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), tiga perlakuan dengan 10 ulangan, yaitu P0 (kontrol), P1 (pakan komersial + jamu probiotik herbal 5%), P2 (pakan komersial + jamu probiotik herbal 15%). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Uji Anova, dilanjutkan Uji Bonferroni dan Games-Howell. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan jamu probiotik herbal didalam pakan berbeda nyata (α < 0,05) terhadap sintasan dan rasio konversi pakan ikan nila dengan nilai sintasan tertinggi pada P1 sebesar 85,45 % dan rasio konversi pakan terendah pada P1 sebesar 0,30 %, sedangkan sintasan terendah pada P0 sebesar 74,55 %, dan rasio konversi pakan tertinggi pada P0 sebesar 0,63 %. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu jamu probiotik herbal berpengaruh terhadap sintasan dan rasio konversi pakan ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Kata kunci : Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus), Jamu Probiotik Herbal, Rasio Konversi Pakan, Sintasan.
