Abstract

To produce according to production targets, of course supported by machines and equipment at every stage of the process and must be operated effectively and efficiently. operating machinery and equipment effectively and efficiently requires a good machine maintenance system. The research method used is Overall Equipment Effectiveness. After conducting the research, the average value of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness of the wafer is 34.00%. This result is still far from the world class standard of 85%. It is known that the biggest losses that cause the low OEE value are reduced speed losses by 143.3% and defect losses by 9.68% of the total losses. What causes low losses consists of factors such as machines, humans, environment, and methods. . To reduce these losses, the company should provide skills training and knowledge to operators about signs of damage to the equipment. In addition, operators are given additional work in the form of equipment maintenance that is often used at work so that maintenance work can be more focused. Then the company must pay more attention to operator comfort in working so that fatigue can be reduced and operator productivity increases and increases operator awareness of the equipment they use.

Abstract

Technological developments with the number and growth of motorized vehicles and the consumption of fuel oil in Indonesia have caused problems for the environment and fuel supply. This problem is even more complicated because the subsidy for its procurement is already very burdensome to the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget. Therefore, comprehensive efforts must continue to be made to find the best solution. This paper discusses the results of research aimed at reducing emissions and reducing motorcycle fuel consumption, by converting the use of gasoline to LPG which is commonly used for cooking. Tests were carried out in the laboratory using a chassis dynamometer to compare torque, power, fuel consumption levels and operating costs, on a carburetor motorcycle engine using gasoline and LPG, either without changing the ignition conditions or by changing the ignition conditions. From this study it was found that LPG fuel has good performance and can be used directly without changing the ignition conditions. However, the performance will be better if the ignition conditions are adjusted. The best level of LPG consumption is 86 km/kg or Rp.58/km, while gasoline is 66 km/l or Rp.98/km.

Abstract

In this study, the material used was coconut husk fiber with a straight fiber orientation direction with different volume fractions with alkali treatment (NaOH) for two hours and without treatment using Polyester BQTN 157 as the matrix. Manufacture by printing in printed, bending testing carried out with reference to ASTM D 6110 standard. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal bending strength of coconut coir fiber composites at volume fractions 0% fiber 100% resin, 10% fiber 80% resin, 20% fiber 80% resin, 30% fiber 70% resin, 40% fiber 60% resin, 50% resin 50% fiber, 60% resin 40% fiber and 70% fiber 30% resin with alkaline treatment (NaOH) for two hours and without treatment and find out the fracture results in specimens that have optimal prices from bending testing. The results of composite testing of coconut coir fiber without treatment with volume fraction variations with bending testing obtained the average bending elasticity modulus at Vf 60% resin 40% fiber with a value of 619047.619 MPa. And the test results with alkali treatment (NaOH) obtained the average bending elasticity modulus at Vf 70% resin 30% fiber with a value of 4893.410928 MPa. The observation of fault results obtained the type of broken fiber fault
