Abstract

ABSTRACT Bali is the third largest waste producing province in Indonesia compared to other provinces in Indonesia. Most waste bank managers are women who are members of community and traditional organizations. The problem that exists is that the potential and condition of waste banks are not properly identified so that many do not receive the government's attention, so their sustainability is threatened. The aim of this community service is to map the condition and potential of waste banks in two locations, namely Denpasar City and Gianyar Regency. The service method is in the form of FGD with women who manage waste banks. Based on the results of the FGD, the conditions, constraints and hopes of waste bank managers were formulated. The next conclusion is that women managing waste banks still do not fully know and have access to the use of digital technology to improve the sustainability of waste banks. A strategy that can be implemented is to increase socialization and assistance to women who manage waste banks. Key words: women, waste bank; digital technology; sustainability

Abstract

The study investigates the correlation between Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and the Gini coefficient using panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2015 to 2023. A panel data regression analysis method was employed for data processing to optimize estimation results. The results obtained from the analysis using the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) consistently show strong positive outcomes. The findings imply a direct connection between higher GRDP per capita, increased FDI, and a higher Gini coefficient, suggesting that more significant foreign investment and higher per capita GDP contribute to increased income inequality across the Indonesian provinces. The study emphasizes the critical role of regional governments in addressing these disparities. It suggests strategies such as implementing regional policies to boost investment, enhancing infrastructure, creating more business opportunities, and promoting tourism. The proposal to establish the National Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan is presented as a long-term solution to reduce income inequality among the provinces.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the dynamics of the growth pattern and structure of each city/regency in the Province of Bali and try to see its relationship with the stunting prevalence in the Province of Bali. The analytical method used in this research is the Klassen Typology analysis technique and the Spearman Rank Correlation. The results of the Klassen Typology analysis, when correlated with stunting data, show that the Buleleng area which is a developed area (quadrant 1) has a high stunting prevalence of 10.30%, while Tabanan is a relatively underdeveloped area (quadrant 4) has a stunting prevalence below the average Province of Bali (6.6%). The results of the correlation test with the Spearman Test showed that there was no significant relationship between economic growth and GDP per capita partially on the stunting prevalence in Province of Bali, but each of the two variables had a negative relationship. Thus, further research is needed regarding other facts regarding the stunting prevalence in the Province of Bali, so that it can provide a clear picture of the variables that influence the stunting prevalence in each district/city.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The era of globalization has caused an increase in the flow of capital between countries, particularly from developed nations to developing ones. Capital flow in a country's economy refers to the movement of financial capital (such as money, investments, and financial assets) between countries. In theory, fluctuations in this capital flow are influenced by numerous factors, which are generally classified as push factors (external factors) and pull factors (internal factors). One of these factors is the interest rate, which affects the decision to invest in a country. Interest rates play a crucial role in attracting capital flow in the form of portfolio investments to a country, including Indonesia. The focus of this study then examines the influence of the interest rates set by The Fed and Bank Indonesia on the flow of portfolio investments in Indonesia during the period between 2011 and 2022. By utilizing multiple linear regression modeling, this research demonstrates that Bank Indonesia's interest rate partially has a positive impact on the fluctuations of portfolio investments in Indonesia, while The Fed's interest rate does not have a significant effect. Moreover, both independent variables simultaneously have a significant impact on changes in portfolio investments. These findings align with the descriptive analysis in this study regarding the monetary policy conducted by Bank Indonesia as the dominant influencing factor, as well as the investment climate in Indonesia which is considered relatively robust against the influence of external factors.

Abstract

The Village Credit Institution (LPD) is a financial institution that is owned and managed by a traditional village in Tierbatu Village, Bangli Regency, Bali Province. LPDs have long provided support to rural communities who have difficulty accessing financial institutions such as banks due to constraints on guarantees or financial reports. Bad credit and internal monitoring are important issues, especially during a pandemic, so this is a challenge for the LPD itself because the trend for bad loans has increased. This community service aims to provide solutions to problems in the aspects of credit relaxation and internal control. The implementation method consists of counseling, mentoring, documentation and evaluation. Mentoring activities result in increased understanding of credit relaxation and internal control.
