Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of Word of Mouth (WOM) on the purchase decision of Sinom-Tap products. Using a qualitative approach, the study involved in-depth interviews with five purposively selected customers, based on their experience with the product. The findings show that positive customer experiences have a significant impact in shaping recommendations, where recommendations from friends and family are much more trusted than commercial advertisements. Social media plays an important role in accelerating the spread of WOM and increasing the credibility of recommendations. The limitation of this study lies in the relatively small number of respondents, so generalisation of the findings may be limited. Nevertheless, this study makes an important contribution to the marketing literature by highlighting the dynamics of WOM in the context of health products in Indonesia, which remains under-explored. The originality of this study lies in its holistic analysis of the factors that influence WOM effectiveness, including speaker characteristics, topics discussed, and communication tools used, as well as important implications for marketing strategies in the digital era. The findings are expected to provide useful insights for marketers in optimally utilising WOM to increase loyalty and sales growth.

Abstract

This study investigates how social interaction and organizational context influence employee performance at PT Chemico Surabaya. Employing a qualitative case study design, this research captures firsthand accounts from workers navigating daily tasks. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews with six respondents, each chosen for their role and active participation in the department’s initiatives. The findings revealed that friendly relations among peers sharply boosted motivation, strengthened teamwork, and cultivated a shared sense of ownership. Similarly, a constructive organizational climate with open leadership, reliable resources, and inclusive practices further uplifts overall output. Together, these insights urge managers to build a culture that prioritizes positive relationships and enabling conditions. This study remains limited by its single-site focus and small sample size, prompting future scholars to extend the inquiry through larger longitudinal studies or cross-firm comparisons.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengevaluasi, pada tataran praktis, seberapa jauh program onboarding mampu mempersiapkan seorang business consultant baru di PT Indomobil Prima Niaga, cabang Kletek, Sidoarjo. Metodologi yang dipilih bersifat kualitatif dan berbasis studi kasus, sehingga pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, serta telaah dokumen resmi yang berkaitan dengan agenda orientasi yang ada. Temuan awal menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan tersebut cukup menyokong adaptasi awal karyawan, sebab para konsultan baru dapat dengan cepat menyerap budaya perusahaan dan memahami visi serta misi yang dijanjikan manajemen. Di sisi keterampilan teknis, peneliti mendapati bahwa materi yang disampaikan masih dangkal; beberapa aspek rumit tentang produk dan sistem internal belum tertangani dengan baik. Walaupun demikian, karyawan yang dilatih melalui program ini cenderung menunjukkan performa yang lebih stabil pada bulan-bulan pertama. Rekomendasi langsung dari penelitian adalah memperbarui konten pelatihan teknis agar sejalan dengan laju inovasi perusahaan. Penelitian semacam ini juga diharapkan mendorong studi lebih lanjut di sektor otomotif, teknologi, atau industri lain yang tengah berkembang pesat.

Abstract

This study analyzes the revitalization of Islamic philanthropy in the economic empowerment of the ummah in the digital era by highlighting the potential and challenges of digitizing zakat, infaq, alms, and waqf (ZISWAF). Digitalization enables transparency and efficiency in the distribution of funds, expands community participation, and increases access to Islamic philanthropic services. However, challenges such as regulations that have not been fully supported, low digital literacy, and lack of innovation in distribution models remain obstacles. This study uses the content analysis method to identify patterns and trends in the management of digital Islamic philanthropy and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to evaluate policy and regulatory narratives related to the digitization of zakat and waqf. The results of the study show that the digitization of Islamic philanthropy has great potential in improving social welfare and economic empowerment of the people, but requires a more systematic strategy and clear regulations. Strengthening governance based on sharia maqāṣid, digital education, and optimization of technology such as blockchain are the key to the sustainability of Islamic philanthropy in the digital era.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) pengolah hasil laut di Kabupaten Lamongan, Jawa Timur, yang masih mengalami keterbatasan dalam pemasaran digital, inovasi produk, dan kesadaran terhadap praktik bisnis berkelanjutan. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pelaku UMKM dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk promosi dan penjualan produk, sekaligus menumbuhkan kesadaran terhadap penerapan prinsip Green-Blue Business Model dalam pengelolaan usaha berbasis hasil laut. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 Oktober 2025 di Ruang Pertemuan Bandeng Lele, Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Lamongan, dengan melibatkan sepuluh pelaku UMKM sebagai peserta. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi empat tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan difokuskan pada peningkatan kemampuan pemasaran digital melalui media sosial dan marketplace, serta penerapan konsep bisnis berkelanjutan dengan pengemasan produk ramah lingkungan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam penggunaan media digital, pembuatan konten promosi, dan kesadaran terhadap kelestarian lingkungan. Evaluasi kegiatan juga menunjukkan bahwa peserta lebih percaya diri dalam memasarkan produk secara daring dan mulai mengadopsi kemasan yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan ini disimpulkan berhasil mencapai tujuan yang direncanakan serta memberikan kontribusi terhadap penguatan kapasitas ekonomi pesisir yang inovatif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are important contributors to the Indonesian economy, but many of them face challenges in maintaining competitiveness in the digital age. This study aims to explore how social media strategies can strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs by analyzing the case of CV Wunggul Sejahtera Bersama (WSB), a creative industry company in Surabaya. The approach used is qualitative with a single case study design. Data was collected through online observation, document analysis, and semi-structured interviews involving informants from internal parties (owners and marketing staff) and external parties (active followers of the company's social media). The data was analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of digital engagement and effective communication strategies. The results of the study show that WSB's success in utilizing social media is influenced by perceptions of the usefulness and ease of use of technology, which encourages continuous innovation on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The integration of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Resource-Based View (RBV) confirms that competitiveness stems not only from technological adoption, but also from creative abilities and the strategic utilization of internal resources.

Abstract

The irregularity of seasons and the impact of climate change in Indonesia demand a transformation in religious education that is not only based on theoretical knowledge but also responsive to environmental crises. This study aims to deeply analyze the mechanism of internalizing ecological values in the Akidah Akhlak subject through the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy at MTs Anwarus Salaf. Using a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, this study involved an Akidah Akhlak teacher and 210 students as research subjects. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, which were then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model with the assistance of Atlas.ti software. The results show that the internalization of ecological intelligence occurs through a systematic CTL cycle, where constructivism and inquiry components successfully shift the student paradigm from textual understanding to contextual awareness of the fasad (earthly destruction) phenomenon. Teacher exemplary behavior through modeling (uswatun hasanah) and measured habituation through the Moral Control Book (Buku Kendali Akhlak) proved effective in transforming student motivation from extrinsic to intrinsic-transcendental. The main finding of this study constructs the Khalifah fi al-Ardh paradigm as a new identity for students, which gives birth to eco-spirituality where nature conservation is understood as a manifestation of tawhid and moral accountability before Allah SWT. This study recommends a reorientation of integrative religious education curricula to form a generation that is intellectually brilliant and has ethical responsibility for the sustainability of the universe.

Abstract

This article analyzes the normative logic of riba and its manifestations within market exchange from the perspective of Islamic legal theory. Drawing on Qur’anic injunctions, Prophetic traditions, and classical as well as contemporary juristic interpretations, the study distinguishes between the primary conception of riba, rooted in debt-based transactions (riba al-qard), and its derivative forms in commercial exchanges (riba al-buyuʿ), such as riba al-fadhl and riba al-nasī’ah. These classifications reflect the broader legal principles of fairness, equivalence, and transparency that underpin Islamic economic ethics. The research employs a qualitative library-based approach to examine authoritative legal sources and scholarly works, enabling a comprehensive understanding of the doctrinal foundations governing the prohibition of riba. The findings reveal that the prohibition is not merely ritualistic or theological in nature but serves a substantive socio-economic function by preventing exploitation, wealth concentration, and market distortions. In addition, the paper highlights contemporary manifestations of riba, including non-transparent credit sales, late-payment penalties, non-cash gold transactions, and conditional sales that create unjust advantage demonstrating how classical legal categories remain relevant in modern financial practices. The study also engages with alternative views, particularly those proposing a distinction between exploitative usury and mutually agreed interest, as articulated by scholars such as Sjafruddin Prawiranegara. Ultimately, this article argues that the normative logic of riba is fundamentally tied to the preservation of distributive justice and ethical balance in economic relations, underscoring the need for Sharia-compliant contractual models that uphold these principles.
