Abstract

Air bersih merupakan salah satu bagian dari sistem utilitas yang penting di Gedung kampus. Fakultas Teknik Universitas Panca Bhakti telah berdiri sejak tahun 1981 dengan program studi pertama yaitu program studi Teknik sipil. Sejak tahun 2023 dilakukan penambahan program studi yaitu Rekayasa Infrastruktur dan Lingkungan . Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui berapa besar kebutuhan air bersih dan besar kapasitas volume reservoir yang dibutuhkan di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Panca Bhakti untuk pemenuhan penyediaan air bersih dikawasan fakultas Teknik. Hasil penelitian yang didapat yaitu volume Ground water tank yang didapat sebesar 28 m3, Saat ini kapasitas yang tersedia berukuran 4 x 4 x 2,5 = 40 m3, artinya kapasitas Ground Reservoir yang ada sudah memenuhi untuk penyediaan air bersih. Dimensi roof tank yang didapat sebesar 4 m3,  saat ini kapasitas tangki atas sudah memenuhi, namun jika ada penambahan program studi baru pada Gedung Fakultas Teknik perlu ditambahkan 1 buah Reservoir dengan kapasitas yang sama untuk memenuhi kebutuhan program studi baru di masa yang akan datang. Hasil simulasi jaringan distribusi air bersih Gedung menggunakan tiga ukuran pipa yaitu Ø 1/2 inch (12,07 mm) , Ø 3/4 inch (19,05 mm) dan Ø 2 inch (50,8 mm). Dimensi pipa mempengaruhi kecepatan air dalam pipa, dalam perencanaan ini digunakan pipa ukuran Ø 1/2 inch untuk distribusi pada tangki 3 pada pipa 9,12, 6 dan 7 yang berada dikawasan Gedung Fakultas Teknik sehingga memenuhi syarat kecepatan air dalam pipa yaitu sebesar 0,3-3 m/s.kecepatan aliran air yang rendah dapat menyebabkan terjadinya pengendapan sedimen dalam pipa, menimbulkan efek korosi dalam pipa, sedangkan bila kecepatan aliran air yang terlalu tinggi menyebabkan terjadinya penggerusan pipa sehingga mempercepat usia pipa.

Abstract

The city of Pontianak has the longest river in West Kalimantan, namely the Kapuas River. This river is used by the majority of Pontianak City residents in their daily activities, including the West Pontianak District area. As a result, river water quality can change over time. Many influencing factors, such as human activities, are thought to cause the lake's water quality to become low. One way to control pollution in an ecosystem can be done by monitoring water quality over a certain period of time, so that the water quality status is known. Based on the description above, it is currently important to carry out an article regarding analysis of water quality distribution maps and water quality status in the West Pontianak District area. This article aims to analyze the level of pollution and how widespread the water pollution is in the West Pontianak District, Pontianak City by carrying out mapping based on water quality data using a Geographic Information System (GIS). The results of this research are that on the 2019, 2020 and 2021 distribution maps, analysis was carried out for 7 parameters, namely BOD, COD, Nitrate, PH, Temperature, TDS and TSS values. These 7 parameters show mutually supporting results that based on the distribution map, it can be seen that the water quality in the West Pontianak District area still seems safe for people to use for their daily activities. Even the Nitrate, PH, Temperature, TDS and TSS values appear to have increased from 2019 to 2021. This shows better water quality than the previous year. In 2020 and 2021 there are 2 additional parameters, namely DO and Phosphate and in 2021 there is a fecal coliform parameter. These three additional parameters also support the results of the previous 7 parameters. It can be seen that good changes have occurred in the water quality in the West Pontianak District area. The DO and phosphate distribution map show changes in values from 2020 and 2021, which shows that the water quality in the area is getting better. The fecal coliform distribution map shows that only a few points are contaminated with the feces of living creatures.

Abstract

The Kapuas River Basin (DAS) has great benefits for the community, especially for clean water needs. The community's need for water starts from the need for drinking water to the need for sanitation. But along the flow of the Kapuas River has experienced pollution. To prevent and improve river water quality, it is necessary to test the water quality in the Kapuas River area and find out the causes of pollution in the research location. This research was conducted in Sintang City as the upstream watershed and Pontianak City as the downstream watershed. Determination of water quality status is carried out using the STORET method. The results obtained, the water of the Kapuas River in the city of Pontianak is classified as heavily polluted. Meanwhile, the Kapuas River water in Sintang City is classified as moderately-severely polluted. The source of the pollutant comes from domestic waste. Efforts to prevent and improve water quality can be carried out by educating the local community regarding water quality and building a Communal WWTP to treat this waste.

Abstract

The high rainfall in Pontianak provides a great opportunity to utilize rainwater as a source of clean water in the area. This study aims to analyze the potential for utilizing rainwater in the Panca Bhakti University environment from the aspects of reliability and volume of water that can be accommodated. The study was conducted through a quantitative method by measuring the roof area, and collecting rainfall data from secondary data, as well as simulating the calculation of the volume of water that can be accommodated from the roof of the campus building. The results of the study showed that the roof area of ​​the building in the Panca Bhakti University area is 1,508.99 m2. From the roof area, the calculation results show that the potential volume of rainwater that can be accommodated is 282,181.13 liters / month or 11,757 liters / day. The total need for clean water use in the Panca Bhakti University environment is 69,926 liters / day. The percentage of rainwater capacity from the total daily clean water use requirement is 16.814%. From the results of this calculation, we can conclude that in terms of reliability, rainwater has not been able to meet the clean water needs in the Panca Bhaktit University Area as a whole. However, if we integrate it with the use of PDAM water, rainwater has great potential to meet the campus's water needs, especially in reducing the cost of PDAM water usage bills, especially in daily activities that do not require drinking quality water, as well as contributing to groundwater conservation and reducing environmental impacts. Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi pada daerah aliran sungai Tayan di Kecamatan Tayan adalah pencemaran air sungai sehingga menyebabkan terbatasnya ketersediaan air bersih. Warga di pinggiran Sungai Tayan masih menggunakan air Sungai Tayan untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kualitas air sungai Tayan dan strategi pengelolaan lingkungan pada Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Tayan. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kualitatif, dari hasil sampel air sungai yang diuji menggunakan standar baku mutu air sungai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas air Sungai Tayan mengalami tingkat pencemaran pada parameter pH, Nitrit, dan Tembaga. Hal ini terjadi karena aktivitas pemanfaatan sumberdaya alam yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat seperti perkebunan sawit, penambangan emas tanpa ijin, dan limbah domestik. Strategi dalam pengelolaan lingkungan di Daerah Aliran Sungai Tayan dapat dilakukan dengan pendekatan aspek ekologi, sosial, dan ekonomi. Aspek ekologi dapat diwujudkan dengan pelestarian lingkungan secara berkelanjutan, sedangkan aspek sosial dan ekonomi dapat dilakukan dengan peningkatan kearifan lokal budaya masyarakat di sepanjang aliran Sungai Tayan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze wastewater generation and design an appropriate domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) for the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Panca Bhakti Pontianak. With the campus population growth, the volume and complexity of the wastewater produced also increase. Without adequate management, this wastewater poses a potential threat to the surrounding environment. Primary data were obtained through field surveys, while secondary data were collected from water usage records and building user counts. The treatment system was designed considering key pollutant parameters to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards. Analysis indicates that a combination of biofilter and aeration systems effectively reduces primary pollutant parameters. The findings of this study are expected to support campus environmental sustainability and provide a model for WWTP implementation in other educational institutions. Further research involving domestic wastewater sampling from the faculty is recommended to optimize the WWTP design based on specific wastewater characteristics.

Abstract

Pergeseran pola konsumsi dan gaya hidup memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap lingkungan, terutama dalam pengelolaan sumber daya alam dan limbah. Generasi Z memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung keberlanjutan, namun kesadaran mereka terhadap gaya hidup berkelanjutan masih perlu ditingkatkan. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Kakap melalui penyuluhan dan praktik langsung dalam konteks Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pretest dan posttest untuk mengevaluasi perubahan pemahaman dan sikap siswa. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kesadaran siswa terkait isu lingkungan, kebiasaan berkelanjutan, dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan ramah lingkungan. Misalnya, siswa yang membawa botol minum sendiri dan mendukung fasilitas daur ulang meningkat secara signifikan setelah program. Selain itu, ketertarikan terhadap teknologi ramah lingkungan seperti energi terbarukan juga bertambah. Program ini membuktikan efektivitasnya dalam membangun generasi muda yang peduli terhadap lingkungan sekaligus mendukung implementasi P5 dalam Kurikulum Merdeka

Abstract

Clean water access remains a significant challenge in Pontianak City despite high annual rainfall exceeding 3,000 mm. This study aims to design a rainwater harvesting system (RWH) as an alternative source of clean water for the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Panca Bhakti (UPB). The research employed a mixed-method approach, including field surveys, technical analysis of roof catchment potential, water quality assessment, system design, and financial feasibility using Net Present Value (NPV) and Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR). The results showed that the building's roof area (571 m²) with 80% system efficiency could harvest approximately 1,281.32 m³/year of rainwater, meeting only 18.34% of the building's clean water demand. Due to low pH and nitrate/nitrite contamination, the proposed treatment system includes sand-carbon-zeolite filtration and UV sterilization. Financially, the project resulted in a BCR of 0.76, indicating it is not yet economically viable on its own. However, the system supports UPB's Green Campus 2027 vision by contributing to flood risk reduction, groundwater conservation, and operational efficiency. Future integration with hybrid systems is recommended to enhance sustainability and water resilience on campus.

Abstract

In the proper category, buildings must stand upright, sturdy and strong for a long period of time and no settlement occurs. Panca Bhakti University (UPB) is currently building campus facilities and infrastructure to meet the growing number of students, one of which is the rectorate building. Before the rectorate building is put into operation, an initial investigation is needed to find out whether or not settlement has occurred in the building structure. Settlement is a decrease in subgrade elevation caused by a layer of soil that is loaded on it, causing the soil beneath to experience an increase in stress. The implementation of the research is by making observations and measuring settlement behavior with a waterpass. The purpose of this investigation is to identify and monitor settlement behavior and determine settlement values ​​that occur in the structure of the Panca Bhakti University rectorate building. The results showed that the highest settlement value occurred at observation points T2-LT.4 and T6-LT.4 with a value of 5 mm. At the observation points T6-LT.1, T1-LT.4, and T3-LT.4 the height difference was 3 mm. While the observation points T1-LT.1, T2-LT.1, T3-LT.1, T4-LT.1, T5-LT.1, T4-LT.4, and T5-LT.4 with a value of 0 , it can be said that there is no difference in height. The average height difference value of all observation points is 1.58 mm. Settlement data is needed so that the risk of structural damage to buildings can be identified early. With this research data, it can be used as a justification for the reliability of the building as well as reference data for monitoring the maintenance of the Panca Bhakti University rectorate building in the future.
