Abstract

Tujuan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mengaktifkan kembali organisasi karang taruna melalui kegiatan budidaya ikan lele yang sudah lama vakum dan meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam mengelola usaha mandiri untuk meningkatkan produktivitas anggota karang taruna. Permasalahan mitra yaitu kurangnya kreativitas dan inovasi dari anggota karang taruna dalam membudidayakan ikan lele dan mengelola modal usaha serta kurangnya pemahaman dalam memasarkan produk melalui media sosial. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui pengadaan fasilitas berupa kolam ikan lele dan bantuan bibit ikan lele serta penyuluhan tentang pengelolaan usaha mandiri mencakup pengelolaan modal usaha dan pemasaran melalui media sosial. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu adanya fasilitas budidaya ikan lele dan terlaksananya penyuluhan pengelolaan modal usaha serta pemasaran produk melalui digital marketing sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan produktivitas anggota karang taruna.

Abstract

Deixis is referring to something depending on the speaker's and addressee's current time, location, and context through an utterance. In this study, the writer focused on the analysis of the reflexive pronoun deixis. The aims of the study are to find out the reflexive pronoun deixis and the function of the reflexive pronoun deixis found in the Enola Holmes 2 movie. This research applied qualitative descriptive methods and analyzed based on the deixis types by Levinson (1983). The data used for this research was acquired by analyzing the utterances spoken by the characters in the movie. The steps to analyze the data included: (1) identifying the reflexive pronoun deixis by classifying the data into first-person reflexive pronoun, second-person reflexive pronoun, and third-person reflexive pronoun, (2) interpreting and describing the findings, and (3) drawing a conclusion of its findings. The writer found 18 data of reflexive pronoun deixis in the Enola Holmes 2 movie. References found in this research were; myself, ourselves as first-person reflexive pronoun deixis; yourself, yourselves as second-person reflexive pronoun deixis; and herself, themselves as third-person reflexive pronoun deixis. The result showed that the most dominant reflexive pronoun deixis found in this research is the second-person reflexive pronoun deixis, where the character gives advice to another character, so people who like watching films can get moral value from the conversation of the movie.

Abstract

This study investigates the translation procedures used by Sendra B. Tanuwidjaya to convey metaphors from Christopher Paolini's “Eragon” novel into Indonesian. Based on George Lakoff's metaphor theory and Hurtado Albir's translation theory, it identifies 139 metaphors that are classified as structural (77), orientational (15), and ontological (47). Using a descriptive qualitative method, the research focuses on the translator's use of strategies such as literal translation, modulation, and modification to balance the original's tone and style with cultural relevance for Indonesian readers. The findings highlight the significance of nuanced tactics in literary translation and encourage additional research into the difficulties of metaphor translation.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini mendukung salah satu bidang unggulan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yaitu Pembangunan Daerah dan Desa. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Remaja Pondok Benowo Indah RW 08. Remaja Pondok Benowo Indah RW 08 merupakan sekumpulan anak usia milenial yaitu 13 – 25 tahun yang berasal dari latar belakang pendidikan dan keluarga yang beragam dan kerap duduk sambil berbincang-bincang serta tidak lupa memegang gadgetnya. Masing-masing remaja memiliki alasan yang berbeda mengapa ia menggunakan gadgetnya, ada yang ingin mencari kesenangan atau hiburan, ada yang ingin memenuhi kebutuhan akan informasi dan ada juga yang sekedar memenuhi hasrat sosial mereka dengan berinteraksi di media sosial dan tentunya tidak luput dari game online. Hal-hal yang menyenangkan inilah yang memicu terjadinya seseorang dapat kecanduan dalam mengkonsumsi internet terutama media sosial dan game online.Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu: 1)Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja akan literasi digital; 2)Meningkatkan kualitas remaja dalam menggunakan internet sehat;3) Pembentukan dan pemberdayaan kader remaja guna melanjutkan kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang literasi digital. Berdasarkan dari analisis situasi, dapat teridentifikasi tiga permasalahan prioritas : 1) Kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja akan literasi digital. 2) Rendahnya kualitas remaja dalam penggunaan internet sehat. 3) Belum terbentuk kader remaja sebagai agen penggerak literasi digital. Metode pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan remaja dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah mitra adalah dalam bentuk penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan mitra untuk pemenuhan permasalahan prioritas.Solusi yang ditawarkan antara lain penyuluhan tentang internet sehat, pelatihan tentang literasi digital, dan simulasi tentang pembentukan kader penggerak literasi digital.

Abstract

This study investigates the types and prevalence of illocutionary speech acts in the film To Catch a Killer (2023), a psychological crime thriller rich in pragmatic nuances. The research aims to identify the categories of illocutionary speech acts used by characters and determine which type dominates the film’s dialogue. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the researcher analyzed spoken utterances throughout the movie using Searle’s classification of illocutionary acts. Data were collected through systematic observation, transcription, and categorization of speech acts present in key scenes. The analysis reveals five types of illocutionary acts: assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative, with assertive acts being the most dominant (43%). These acts are crucial in conveying character intentions and advancing narrative tension. The findings contribute to pragmatic and linguistic studies by showcasing how illocutionary force is embedded within cinematic dialogue and how it reflects the psychological depth of storytelling. This study highlights the pedagogical value of film in teaching speech act theory and encourages further exploration of language in media contexts
