Abstract

Objective of this research is to find out the influence of learning motivation toward students learning proficiency of mathematics at grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Sampolawa. This research was an ex post facto research. Population in this research was all grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Sampolawa whose number was 140 students. Sample of this research was 57 students whom was selected through simple random sampling technique. Instrument of the research were questionnaire and documentation. Based on the research outcome, it is concluded that there is a positive and significant influence of learning motivation toward students learning proficiency of mathematics at grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Sampolawa. This can be seen by the result of analysis that value of was 19,781 > was 4,02. Besides, the determination coefficient was 0,265 or 25,50% of mathematics proficiency was explained by variable of learning motivation, while the rest was influenced by other factors that were not observed in this research

Abstract

This research is classroom action research with the problem formulation is whether the application of a realistic mathematical approach can improve the mathematical understanding of class X students at the Baubau Health Private Vocational School? This research aims to improve the mathematical understanding of class X students at the Baubau Health Private Vocational School through realistic application. This research was carried out on class X students at the Baubau Health Vocational School with a total of 23 students. Research data was obtained from observation sheets and tests for each cycle to see the increase in students' mathematical understanding after applying a realistic mathematical approach. This research was carried out in two cycles with stages (1) Planning, (2) Implementation of actions, (3) Observation and (4) Reflection. Based on the results of the analysis of student learning achievement data, the average student achievement score in the initial test, cycle I test and cycle II test was respectively 23.70; 54.78 and 75.65. Meanwhile, the percentage of classical completeness from the initial test results, cycle I test and cycle II test respectively was 17.39%; 56.52% and 100%. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in students' understanding of three-dimensional learning through the application of a realistic mathematical approach in class X students at the Baubau Health Vocational School in odd semester academic year 2016/2017. Based on the conclusion of the research, it is suggested that: (1) Inquiry learning requires good time management and class management, so it is necessary to plan learning activities so that time is used more effectively. (2) When learning mathematics using the inquiry learning model, more varied problems should be given which enable students to improve their understanding of mathematics. (3) As a consideration in making policies to improve the quality of learning in schools, and for other researchers it is recommended to carry out similar research in more depth with different subjects and materials.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini addalah untuk mengenalkan media pembelajaran yang dapat dibuat dari bahan sederhana dan gampang ditemukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta dapat mengaplikasikan penggunaan media pembelajaran BAPER (Batang Perkalian) Lidi pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Tomba untuk materi perkalian. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah metode diskusi dan metode demostrasi. Beberapa hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, yaitu peserta kegiatan mulai mengenal jenis-jenis media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika juga mulai tertarik ingin membuat dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran BAPER (Batang Perkalian) Lidi sebagai media pembelajaran materi perkalian. Kegiatan ini sangat mendukung peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pendidikan dengan membuat dan mengembangkan produk-produk pendidikan diantaranya yaitu media pembelajaran, khususnya media pembelajaran BAPER (Batang Perkalian) Lidi. Melalui media pembelajaran tersebut diharapkan siswa lebih mudah memahami pelajaran matematika terutama materi perkalian, sehingga minat belajar siswa menjadi meningkat.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of students’ understanding of mathematical concepts in the Merdeka Curriculum on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Baubau. This research is an ex post facto research methods. The population in this study were all students in class VIII, even semester, SMP Negeri 3 Baubau, consisting of 195 students. The sample in this study consisted of classes VIII B and VIII C with a total of 58 students. The instruments used in this research were diagnostic test questions in the form of essays, questionnaires and documentation. This research data collection technique was obtained by observation, documentation, tests and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the research show that students’ understanding of mathematical concepts in the Merdeka curriculum when completing diagnostic test questions on student learning outcomes, in this case the report card scores obtained in the odd semester, based on the results of calculations using simple linear regression, obtained a sig value of 0.00 for a significance level value of 0.05 (5%). Thus, the significant value is 0.00 < 0.05, so H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of students’ understanding of mathematical concepts in the Merdeka curriculum on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Baubau.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Merdeka curriculum on the students’ mathematics learning outcomes of SMA Negeri 4 Baubau. This research used an ex post facto method. The population in this study were all students in class XI, even semester, SMA Negeri 4 Baubau, consisting of 9 classes. The sample for this research, namely class XI/FI .3, was taken using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires and diagnostic tests in the form of essays. The research results showed that the influence of the curriculum using simple linear regression obtained a sig value. Amounting to 0.000 for a significance level value of 0.05 (5%). Thus, the significant value is 0.000 < 0.05, so H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the Merdeka Curriculum on the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class XI/F1.3 Students at SMA Negeri 4 Baubau.
