Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep bangun ruang siswa SMP Negeri 4 Baubau. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Baubau yang terdiri dari 11 kelas dengan jumlah 363. Sampel dalam penelitian ini  diambil mengunakan purposive sampling yaitu siswa kelas VIII9 berjumlah 32 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII10 berjumlah 32 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah essay tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis deksriptif dan analisis inferensial dalam bentuk uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan: (1) Nilai rata-rata progres prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Baubau dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dengan media visual pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 25,31. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata progres prestasi belajar siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 14,69. (2) Berdasarkan hasil hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t diperoleh nilai signifikan (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini berarti bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dengan media visual efektif untuk memahami konsep bangun ruang pada siswa SMP Negeri 4 Baubau.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is how are high school student’ mathematical abilities in solving story problem on system of two variables linear inequalities? This research aims two analyze the mathematical abilities of high scool students in solving story problems on two-variable system of linear inequalities. This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this research were 25 students of sman 1 pasarwajo science class v. Data collection in thi research was carried out using research instruments in the form of tests and interviews with students, to measure high school students’ mathematical abilities in story test through yhe material on the system of linear inequalities in two variables. Based on the research results, the following conclusions were obtained: (1) for problem solving abilities, it is known that in hihg ability subjects there are 16% of students, 24% in medium ability subjects, and 60% in low ability subjects. (2) For reasoning ability, it is known that in high ability subjects there are 4% of students, in medium ability subjcts there are 8%, and in low ability there are 88% of students. (3) For mathematical communication skills, it is known that in the high ability subject there are 4% of students, in the medium subject there are 24%, and in the low ability subject there are 72% of students. (4) For mathematical connection abilities in high ability subjects there are 16% of students, 20% of students in medium ability subjects, and 64% of students in low ability subjects. (5) For representational ability in high ability subjects there are 4% of students, in medium ability subjects there are 6% of students, and in low ability subjects there are 80% of students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the mathematical communication skills of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Baubau. This research is a Quasy Experiment research. The population in this study was all grade VIII students in the even semester of SMP Negeri 2 Baubau consisting of 345 students. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling technique , selected class VIII.1 as an experimental class of 22 students and class VIII.4 as a control class of 22 students. The instrument used in this study is a test in the form of an essay. The results of the study are known students' mathematical communication skills in solving statistical problems on the subject of data centering measures. Based on the calculation results using independent samples t test, a calculated value of 2.547 was obtained. For the value of ttable at the level of significance 0.05 (5%) and db = 42 which is 1.681. Based on the calculated value > ttable. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the mathematical communication skills of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Baubau

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini addalah untuk mengenalkan media pembelajaran yang dapat dibuat dari bahan sederhana dan gampang ditemukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta dapat mengaplikasikan penggunaan media pembelajaran BAPER (Batang Perkalian) Lidi pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Tomba untuk materi perkalian. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah metode diskusi dan metode demostrasi. Beberapa hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, yaitu peserta kegiatan mulai mengenal jenis-jenis media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika juga mulai tertarik ingin membuat dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran BAPER (Batang Perkalian) Lidi sebagai media pembelajaran materi perkalian. Kegiatan ini sangat mendukung peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pendidikan dengan membuat dan mengembangkan produk-produk pendidikan diantaranya yaitu media pembelajaran, khususnya media pembelajaran BAPER (Batang Perkalian) Lidi. Melalui media pembelajaran tersebut diharapkan siswa lebih mudah memahami pelajaran matematika terutama materi perkalian, sehingga minat belajar siswa menjadi meningkat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of snake and ladder games on Realistic Mathematics Learning (PMR) on the mathematics learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 2 Batuatas students. This research is a quantitative research using experimental methods. The total number of students in grade VII of SMP N 2 Batuatas with the number of parallel classes is 2 classes and the sample that can be taken in this study is 2 classes, namely class VII 1 and class VII 2 with a total of 48 students. Test instruments are used as a tool to collect research data. Independent test T-Test samples are used to analyze the data of research results. The conclusion of the data from the independent test of the T-Test sample obtained a value of ,t-calculate.= 4.292, this value is greater than ,t-table.=2.013. So that the value of ,t-calculate.> ,t-table. then Ho was rejected. In addition, the significance level of the analysis results was 0.000 < α = 0.05. So, the conclusion obtained from the problem is that there is a significant influence of the application of snake and ladder games on the Realistic Mathematics Learning Model on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Batuatas.

Abstract

The Formulation in this research are: 1) whether the application of Ice Breaking in mathematics learning using the Make A Match learning model is effective on the mathematics learning outcomes if students at SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Sampolawa; 2) Is the application of the Make A Match learning model without the application of Ice Breaking effective in mathematics learning on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Sampolawa; 3) Which is more effective between the application of Ice Breaking in the Make A Match learning model without the application of Ice Breaking in mathematics learning for students at SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Sampolawa. The aim of this research is to determine 1) the effectiveness of implementing Ice Breaking in mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Sampolawa. 2) the effectiveness of implementing the Make A Match model without implementing Ice Breaking in mathematics learning on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Sampolawa. 3) the effectiveness of the application of Ice Breaking in the Make A Match learning model and the application of the Make A Match learning model without the application of Ice Breaking in mathematics learning on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Sampolawa. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type. The population of this study were all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Sampolawa which consisted of 2 classes with a total of 34 students. The sample in this study was class VIII. 1 as experimental class 1 and class VIII 2 as an experimental 2. Data collection in this research used tests in the form of essays. Hypothesis testing techniques use paired sample tests and independent sample tests. The research results show that the application of Ice Breaking in the Make Match learning model and the application of the Make A Match learning model without Ice Breaking in mathematics learning on the subject of straight line equations are both equally effective. Descriptively, the average scores for experimental class 1 and experimental class 2 were respectively 64.50 and 67.73. Based on the results of the results of the comparative analysis between experimental class 1 and experimental class 2, it was concluded that the application of Ice Breaking in the Make A Match learning model was not more effective than implementing the Make A Match learning model without Ice Breaking. This is proven based on the results of students’ data analysis which shows that the value is 0.916 with a significance value of p-value greater than the significance level (0.373>0.05).
