Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di SMP Negeri Buti pada 2 September 2023 bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan teknologi AI sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Melibatkan 7 guru dari berbagai bidang, pelatihan ini mencakup ceramah, demonstrasi, dan latihan praktis. Evaluasi menunjukkan tanggapan sangat positif dengan skor rata-rata 4,7, mengindikasikan peningkatan pemahaman dan kemampuan dalam menggunakan platform Teachmate AI dan Chat GPT. Guru-guru yang berpartisipasi mampu mengembangkan materi pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menarik, serta termotivasi untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi siswa serta mendukung persiapan perangkat pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Hasil kegiatan ini sejalan dengan literatur yang menyatakan bahwa integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran dan motivasi siswa, serta membawa perubahan positif di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

The study aims to improve students' problem- solving skills and digital literacy by implementing the case method assisted by Quizizz. This research was conducted on fifth-semester economic education students. This research is a qualitative Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research instruments used tests, observations, and interviews. The population in this study were 20 people. The sampling technique used Purposive- Sampling so that the research sample amounted to 30 people. The results of the study were that there was an increase in the Student Learning Completeness Score (KPM) at 3 meetings. Learning completeness has an average of 74% with an average increase of 14%. There are 4 aspects assessed in problem-solving skills. 100% have been able to find problems in the case, in aspect 2, 83.33% of students mastered the aspect of transforming information. 50% of students have been able to develop a problem-solving plan, and 26.67% of students are able to conclude a solution to the problem. Meanwhile, through the application of the Quizizz application, 60% of students who experienced an increase in digital literacy and the rest could not connect to the internet network.

Abstract

Matara Village, located in Merauke Regency, South Papua Province, is a coastal community with abundant marine resources, particularly fish as a primary commodity. However, limited processing capacity results in fish being sold whole at low prices or even unsold leading to economic losses and declining household incomes. The inability to process fish into nutritious, high-value products remains a key challenge. To address this issue, a team of lecturers from Musamus University conducted a community empowerment program focusing on training local women ("mama-mama") to produce fish nuggets. The program included field observations, counseling sessions, technical demonstrations, direct mentoring, and a satisfaction survey. As a result, nutritious and marketable fish nugget samples were successfully produced. This initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship and improve local economic resilience. The community responded positively and expressed strong interest in sustained support from relevant institutions for ongoing development.
