Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe how teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Bone apply self-assessment to their students and the obstacles they face. There were 2 (two) PAI teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Bone used as research subjects in this research. Qualitative techniques with a descriptive research approach were used in this research. Observations and interviews were used as data collection techniques. Inductive reasoning is used to assess data, from the specific to the general one. The findings of this research are that teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Bone provide self-assessment to students during the learning process by observing and also using the curriculum assessment rubric and focusing on the learning process taking place and also outside the classroom. Obstacles faced by teachers in evaluating students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Bone for good learning are a lack of time, a large number of students in one class up to 28 students, and difficulties in guiding students to behave well in accordance with learning objectives that can be achieved. In addition, many students do not complete an honest self-assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Comic Strip Media on Students' Learning Interest in Indonesian Language Learning in Class V of Teppoe Private Elementary School. The type of research used in this study is ex post facto which means after the fact, by taking data by survey, ex post facto research. The approach used in this research is quantitative research. The population is all class V students of Teppoe Private Elementary School, totalling 21 people. And the sampling used is a saturated sample. The results of the study based on simple regression analysis that has been carried out through the SPSS version 25 programme, obtained the results of the respondents studied, namely class V of Teppoe Private Elementary School totalling 21 people. It is known that if tcount ≤ ttable then H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. If tcount ≥ ttable then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the coefficients table that tcount (3.212) > ttable (2.093) and a probability value of 0.005 <0.05 and in the model summary table by looking at R Square = 0.352 or 35.2% so it can be interpreted that significantly the comic strip media variable (X) affects the student learning interest variable (Y) by 35.2%.

Abstract

Teaching skills are crucial in the student learning process and should be mastered by educators. The reinforcement aspect of applying teaching skills can be divided into two categories: verbal reinforcement, which includes words or phrases like "correct," "good," "well done," and so on, and nonverbal reinforcement, which involves facial expressions and body language such as smiles, nods, applause, thumbs up, and the like. Additionally, it is essential to understand the supporting and hindering factors that influence students' engagement in response to the reinforcement provided by teachers. The objective of this research is to describe how teachers employ reinforcement skills and the factors that support or hinder students' active participation in the learning process. This study employs a qualitative research approach with a descriptive analytical method. Data collection techniques include interviews and documentation, and data analysis involves using source, technique, and time triangulation. The research findings indicate the importance of understanding the skill of providing reinforcement in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Proficiency in providing reinforcement can enhance students' attention, stimulate their learning motivation, and help shape their behavior. However, some challenges include students' difficulty in grasping the subject matter, indifference towards assignments, and a lack of interest in learning.
