Abstract

Multiculturalism in general is a concept of culture and variations in individual behavior caused by differences in race, religion and social structure, which is currently a hot issue and study material in the realm of social order. Islam has existed for centuries as the center of an advanced and diverse civilization. Along with the spread of Islam to various regions of the world, Islamic kingdoms grew and had prosperous centers of trade, science and culture. One of the main characteristics of Islamic civilization is the ethnic, cultural and religious diversity that exists within it. The structure of society in Damascus consists of four main components, namely: 1. The first social class, namely the Muslim-Arab nation occupies the highest class in social stratification in Damascus. 2. The second social class, namely the converts, people who have just converted to Islam. 3. The third social class, namely the non-Muslim group. 4. The fourth social class, namely the slaves who lived within the center of power of the Umayyad Daula in Damascus.

Abstract

Brotherhood can exist if it is based on the brotherhood of imaniyah, basyariyah, and wasathoniyah. Humans cannot live alone, apart from being personal creatures, humans are also social creatures. Brotherhood is an essential need. The faithful servants of Allah are brothers as explained in the Qur'an, surah Al-Hujurat verse 10, which means: verily the believers are brothers, therefore make peace between your two brothers and fear Allah so that you may receive mercy. And the Prophet Sallallahu 'alaihi Wasallam said: "Do not hate each other, envy each other, turn your back on each other, and be servants of Allah who are brothers, and it is not lawful for a Muslim to silence his brother for more than three days." (HR. Al-Bukhori). Brotherhood (ukhuwah) According to Quraish Shihab who refers to the Koran, there are 4 forms of brotherhood, namely (1) ukhuwah ubudiyah, (2) ukhuwah insaniyyah or (basyariyyah), (3) ukhuwah wathaniyah wa an-nasab, (4) ukhuwah fi ad-din al-Islam (brotherhood between fellow Muslims).

Subject competency standards can be defined as "statements about knowledge, skills and attitudes that must be mastered, and the level of mastery that is expected to be achieved in learning a subject". The competency standard is a framework that explains the basic development of a structured learning program. The subject competency standard is also the focus of the assessment, so the curriculum development process is the focus of the assessment, although the curriculum contains more of the knowledge, skills and attitudes document than evidence to show that learners who have learned have early knowledge and skills. The main factors of successful learners in mastering the subject competency standard are as follows: learners’ high intelligence level, motivation, interest in learning, their present at school, their health, and well attitude, as well as attention from their parents.
