Abstract

This study aims to determine the Strategic Management of Higher Education in Increasing the Effectiveness of PTKIS management in Jambi Province, to reveal the strategies carried out by PTKIS managers and to formulate, implement and evaluate strategies in increasing the effectiveness of PTKIS in Jambi Province. The results showed that the strategic planning of PTKIS in Jambi Province in increasing effectiveness was constrained by several factors as follows: Manager's lack of understanding in implementing strategic management, communication between managers and subordinates is not aligned, strategic goals are not aligned with the actions taken, ideas and innovations are not supported by plans precise, and passive management, as well as manager motivation that only targets personal gain rather than common goals. To overcome the above problems, universities should implement the following actions: be close to stakeholders to understand needs, give autonomy to employees so that they foster an entrepreneurial spirit, managers are actively involved and employees know what the organization wants and have a flexible and simple organizational structure.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find out solutions in managing conflict in Indonesian Islamic education institutions. In particular, Islamic educational institutions in Islamic boarding schools and madrasas have a high probability of conflict compared to other educational institutions. This research is applying qualitative research through library research. The data obtained are compiled, analyzed, and concluded so as to obtain conclusions regarding the study of literature. The results of this study indicate that conflict management becomes very important in managing conflict in Islamic educational institutions as the development of quality educational institutions. In line with this, then what becomes our main concern in addressing conflict is that conflict cannot be avoided. Therefore, controlling conflict is a must in order to achieve goals in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. Conflict must be managed properly in order to create the goals of higher education institutions. Abstract

This research examines the organizational culture at Islamic universities in Indonesia to gain an Islamic university competitiveness. The qualitative research method is used, with data gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. According to the study's findings, the conceptual framework of organizational culture plays a role in increasing universities' competitive advantage. The study's findings highlight the organizational culture-building model and its framework (competing value framework). Furthermore, the study's findings highlight the need for a reorientation of vision, adaptation to technological renewal, development of partnership-based networks, and enhancing academic services. Multi-stakeholder networks are essential in mediating the relationship between organizational culture and university competitive advantage. This research's originality fills gaps in the literature on cultural studies and organizational behavior in higher education. Studies on organizational culture in creating competitive universities and organizational resilience are still limited.
