Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases. One of the keys to successful treatment of hypertension is medication adherence. The problem is the lack of public understanding of the dangers of hypertension, which will check themselves to the health center only when they start to feel pain or symptoms of hypertension. This study aims to determine the factors associated with compliance with hypertension patients in undergoing treatment at the Alak health center in 2021. This type of research is an analytic survey, with a cross sectional research design. The sample size was 92 people with hypertension who were randomly selected with a compliance level of α = 0.05. Each variable studied was tested using the Chi-square test to determine the relationship with the variable level of compliance of hypertensive patients in undergoing treatment. Further testing using the coefficient of contingency test to determine the relationship between variables that show the existence of the relationship. The results showed that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge (p=0.014) history of hypertension treatment (p=0.029) and treatment motivation (p=0.000), while there was no significant influence between income, family history of hypertension, and affordability of access to health services (p>0.05). It is hoped that the community, especially family members of hypertensive patients, will play an active role in providing motivation and support so that they always take regular medication and are always obedient in carrying out treatment to health services. This is because the family plays an important role for people with hypertension in undergoing treatment.

Abstract

One indicator of quality at a community health center is patient satisfaction. The level of patient satisfaction with community health center services can also be seen in the laboratory service unit. The most widely used service quality measures are five dimensions of quality, namely tangibles, reliability, alertness, assurance and attention. The aim of this research is to determine the level of satisfaction of general poly patients with laboratory services at the Naibonat Community Health Center by assessing five dimensions of quality using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) satisfaction level analysis technique. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive survey research design. The population is all general poly patients who have had an examination at the Naibonat Health Center laboratory. The sample size using the Lemeshow formula was 92 respondents with a sampling technique using the accidental sampling method. The results of the satisfaction assessment for each quality dimension are based on the level of conformity, namely tangible 93.82% (very satisfied), reliability 93.02% (very satisfied), responsiveness 95.44% (very satisfied), assurance 94.61% (very satisfied) and empathy 95.69% (very satisfied). Based on the Cartesian Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) diagram, community health centers are expected to maintain the dimensions of tangible quality, alertness and attention and improve quality on several attributes in the quality dimensions of reliability and quality assurance dimensions.

Abstract

Cadres are the main drivers in activities at the posyandu because the existence of child nutrition problems in an area is influenced by the role of posyandu cadres. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The informants of this study were 12 people with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and document studies. Data analysis uses the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the role of posyandu cadres in Taebesa Village at the first table in the registration stage has been done well. However, at the second table in the anthropometric measurement stage, it is not optimal because the availability of facilities and infrastructure is insufficient. At the third table, namely filling in the KMS, the role of cadres has not been carried out optimally because only a few cadres can use the table correctly. The fourth table, namely the counseling stage, has also not been carried out optimally. The cadres did not conduct counseling to mothers of toddlers. The fifth table, namely health services, is dedicated to health workers. The cadres are tasked with helping existing services. Overall, the role of posyandu cadres in Taebesa Village is still not optimal. There is a need to improve the ability of cadres in filling KMS and implementing counseling. The availability of facilities and infrastructure must also be improved to support the performance of posyandu cadres.

Abstract

Background: Facts show that Liliba Village is one of the health service outreaches in the form of prevention and control of the coronavirus (COVID-19) which truly needs cooperation between the government and health sector, state defense and security sectors such as the Indonesian National Arm Force and the National Police as well as participation from the community. Without good cooperation between the government and related agencies and participation from the community, the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) cannot be controlled, causing adverse impacts on the community. This study aims to determine the factors related to community behavior in complying with health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic in Liliba Village, Oebobo District, Kupang City in 2022. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study conducted in Liliba Village, Oebobo District, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara, from June 2021 to November 2022. A total of 268 subjects were selected for the study. The dependent variable was community behavior. The independent variables were knowledge, attitudes, actions, confidence, beliefs, discipline, facilities and infrastructure, and COVID-19 vaccines. The data were collected using questionnaires and checklists and analyzed using the Chi-square test. Results: Good knowledge (OR= 0.23; 95% CI= 0.08 to 0.62; p= 0.002), positive action (OR= 0.48; 95% CI= 0.40 to 0.57; p= 0.039), high confidence (OR= 0.11; 955 CI= 0.10 to 0.43; p= 0.012), discipline (OR= 0.21; 95% CI= 0.21 to 0.57; p= 0.019), availability of facilities and infrastructure (OR= 0.34; 95% CI= 0.20 to 0.34; p= 0.002), and have complete COVID-19 vaccines (OR= 0.24; 95% CI= 0.10 to 0.54; p= 0.003) were significantly related to community behavior in complying with the health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusion: Good knowledge, positive actions, high confidence, discipline, availability of facilities and infrastructure, and having complete COVID-19 vaccines were related to community behavior in complying with health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. Abstract

Background: Quality of service is one of the elements that can affect patient satisfaction in the laboratory. Ba'a Rote District hospital, is the only hospital in Rote Ndao District which has a laboratory unit to support efforts to diagnose disease and restore health. Measurement of patient satisfaction can be used as a tool for evaluating the quality of health services. This study aims to determine the effect of the quality of health services on the level of satisfaction of outpatients in the Ba'a Rote Hospital laboratory in 2022.Subjects and Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted at the Rote Ndao Hospital Laboratory, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, from February to September 2022. A total of 85 subjects were selected for this study. The dependent variable is satisfaction. The independent variable is the tangible dimension, the empathy dimension, the reliability dimension, responsiveness and assurance. The data were collected using a questionnaire, and analyzed using a logistic regression test.Results: Reliability dimension (aOR= 5.30; 95% CI= 1.90 to 13.30; p= 0.001), responsiveness dimension (aOR= 6.49; 95% CI=2.37 to 17.77; p<0.001), assurance dimension (aOR= 33.58; 95% CI = 8.70 to 129.57; p< 0.001), empathy dimension (aOR= 12.53; 95% CI=4.37 to 35.94; p<0.001), and tangibles dimension (aOR= 9.25; 95% CI=3.31 to 25.84; p<0.001) significantly influence patient satisfaction.Conclusion: The tangible dimension, the empathy dimension, the reliability dimension, the responsiveness dimension, the assurance dimension influence patient satisfaction. Abstract

One of the points of the HIV AIDS prevention strategy is to increase the availability and affordability of antiretroviral treatment in hospitals or health centers. The emptiness in antiretroviral drugs is a phenomenon that commonly occurs in hospitals or health centers at the district or city level, and Manggarai Regency is one of the districts that experienced this condition from 2013 to 2017. The aim of this study is to explain the situation and the causes of the absence of antiretroviral drugs with a logistic management approach. This type of research is qualitative research. The informants of this study amounted to 8 people from RSUD dr. Ben Mboi, NTT Provincial Health Office, KPAP NTT and KPAD Manggarai. Data collection will take place from February to March 2018. The results are: Antiretroviral drug planning using consumption methods; budgeting and procurement of antiretroviral drugs by the Indonesian Ministry of Health; the storage of antiretroviral drugs is carried out according to the current standards for the storage of medicines; distribution of antiretroviral drugs from the provinces with expeditions and from hospitals to PLWHA with individual prescriptions that are represented by one person; the elimination of antiretroviral drugs was never performed; control of antiretroviral drugs that are adapted to the schedule of taking medication; cause of the absence of antiretroviral drugs due to the lack of specialized staff administering antiretroviral drugs in hospital pharmacies. Management of antiretroviral drugs in Manggarai Regency runs accordingly the logistics management cycle, but there are still some issues that accompany this process. Issues in question include insufficient human resources in terms of quantity and quality, non-procedural implementation and a weak coordination system. It is recommended that improvements be made to the logistical management process of antiretroviral drugs in hospitals, as well as strengthening the coordination and evaluation system of all parties involved in the logistics management of antiretroviral drugs.

Abstract

Tuberkulosis adalah penyakit yang dapat ditularkan akibat bakteri mycobacterium tuberculosis. Penularan bakteri ini terjadi melalui percikan air liur (droplet) saat berbicara, batuk, bersin atau meludah disembarang tempat. Menurut data BPS Provinsi NTT, kasus penyakit Tuberkulosis meningkat dari tahun 2017 sebanyak 3.670 kasus Tuberkulosis menjadi 6.583 kasus pada tahun 2018. Puskesmas Sikumana menjadi puskesmas dengan kasus TB Paru terkonfirmasi bakteriologis tertinggi di Kota Kupang, sebanyak 56 kasus ditahun 2022. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan program pengendalian TB Paru dengan strategi Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse (DOTS) di Puskesmas Sikumana. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif (wawancara mendalam). Sampel dalam penelitian ini, yaitu penanggungjawab TB Paru, 3 kader Pengawas Minum Obat, 3 Pengawas Minum Obat, 3 pasien positif TB Paru, dan 3 pasien TB Paru yang telah pulih, dengan jumlah 13 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan terhadap pasien TB Paru pada masa pengobatan memiliki peran penting. Dibutuhkan peran tenaga kesehatan, kader PMO dan PMO dalam memberi dorongan dan dukungan kepada pasien yang menjalani pengobatan selama 6 bulan. Diharapkan masyarakat memiliki kesadaran dalam memeriksakan diri dan menjalani pengobatan hingga selesai dengan pengawasan PMO.

Abstract

Antenatal care (ANC) merupakan pemeriksaan kehamilan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan ibu hamil, baik fisik maupun mental secara optimal, mempersiapkan diri dalam menghadapi persalinan, masa nifas dan pemberian ASI ekslusif, serta memulihkan kesehatan alat reproduksi. ANC berperan dalam mencegah dan mengatasi permasalahan yang mungkin dapat dialami ibu hamil seperti masalah gizi, kehamilan beresiko, komplikasi kebidanan, penyakit menular, penyakit tidak menular dan masalah kesehatan jiwa ibu hamil.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan pemanfaatan pelayanan antenatal care di Puskesmas Naioni Kota Kupang tahun 2024. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survei analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional terhadap sampel 50 ibu melahirkan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada April-Mei 2025. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan purposive sampling. Analisis data univariat dan bivariat dengan uji statistic uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sebagian besar responden yang memanfaatkan pelayanan ANC secara lengkap (K6) sebanyak 28 orang (56%), sedangkan yang kurang memanfaatkan pelayanan ANC (<6 kali kunjungan) sebanyak 22 orang (44%). Analisis Bivariat menunjukkan ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan (p-value= 0,015), tingkat pendidikan ibu (p-value=0,007), sikap ibu (p-value=0,005), dukungan keluarga (p-value=0,003) dengan pemanfaatan pelayanan antenatal care di Puskesmas Naioni. Tidak ada hubungan antara aksesibilitas jarak tempuh (p-value=0,157) dengan pemanfaatan pelayanan antenatal care di Puskesmas Naioni. Diharapkan puskesmas mengupayakan peningkatan program KIA (Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak) dengan mengadakan penyuluhan terkait pentingnya pemanfaatan ANC minimal 6 kali secara berkala yang didukung melalui sarana prasarana yang lebih diantaranya menggunakan media leaflet, media poster/media informasi lainnya sehingga ibu dapat termotivasi untuk memanfaatkan pelayanan ANC guna untuk meminimalisir risiko bahaya kehamilan pada ibu dan janin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan program Imunisasi Dasar Lengkap (IDL) di Puskesmas Oebobo, Kota Kupang, tahun 2024 dengan menganalisis komponen input (sumber daya, pendanaan, dan sarana), proses (perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pencatatan, supervisi), serta output berupa cakupan imunisasi.Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi dari informan kunci dan pendukung. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan teknik triangulasi untuk validasi informasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan imunisasi di Puskesmas Oebobo telah terstruktur dengan baik dari sisi organisasi dan logistik. Namun masih ditemukan berbagai hambatan, seperti keterbatasan dana, ketidaksesuaian data sasaran, penolakan imunisasi oleh masyarakat, dan mobilitas penduduk yang tinggi. Pencatatan menggunakan aplikasi ASIK dan pengelolaan vaksin dilakukan secara ketat. Supervisi internal berjalan baik, namun supervisi eksternal masih minim. Meskipun pelaksanaan telah sesuai pedoman, cakupan IDL tahun 2024 hanya mencapai 45,7%, mengalami penurunan dari tahun sebelumnya. Diperlukan peningkatan kualitas perencanaan, edukasi masyarakat, penguatan koordinasi lintas sektor, serta pemutakhiran data sasaran untuk mendukung keberhasilan program imunisasi.

Abstract

Laju pertumbuhan penduduk yang tinggi menjadi tantangan serius dalam pembangunan nasional, terutama di wilayah seperti Nusa Tenggara Timur yang memiliki angka kelahiran relatif tinggi. Program Keluarga Berencana (KB) merupakan salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk mengendalikan pertumbuhan penduduk dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Namun, di Desa Oebelo, tingkat partisipasi pasangan usia subur (PUS) dalam program KB masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi partisipasi PUS dalam program KB, meliputi pengetahuan, jumlah anak, budaya, kepesertaan Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN), dukungan suami, dan peran tenaga kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain survei analitik dan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel diambil secara multistage sampling dari 812 PUS di Desa Oebelo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara pengetahuan, budaya, dukungan suami dan peran tenaga kesehatan dengan partisipasi PUS dalam program KB sedangkan tidak ada hubungan antara kepesertaan JKN dan jumlah anak dengan partisipasi PUS dalam Program KB. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan edukatif, dukungan keluarga, serta peran aktif tenaga kesehatan dalam meningkatkan partisipasi KB. Diperlukan intervensi terintegrasi antara pemerintah, petugas kesehatan, dan tokoh masyarakat guna mengatasi hambatan dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang manfaat program KB dalam menciptakan keluarga yang sehat dan sejahtera.
