Abstract

The world has been hit by the COVID-19 virus since December 2019 which has had a direct impact on every aspect of human life, especially for Correctional Institutions considering that the risks it poses are so great for inmates because of their very concentrated population. Several actions were taken in an effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, namely by implementing hand washing, keeping distance, using masks, spraying disinfectant, quarantine for new prisoners and limiting visits. This study aims to determine the application of COVID-19 prevention measures at Class III Baa Correctional Facility. This type of research is qualitative, namely conducting in-depth interviews with 10 informants. Data analysis uses an interactive model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that hand washing has been implemented and hand washing facilities are available, advice has been given to keep distance of 1-2 meters, mandatory use of masks, spraying disinfectant throughout the prison environment, implementation of quarantine for 14 days for new prisoners and implementation of visiting services online via telephone and video calls. However the conclusion of this study is that steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 have not been fully implemented, due to the lack of self-awareness of the inmates and the limited number of residential rooms. But, even though cases of COVID-19 are decreasing worldwide, it is hoped that inmates will continue to exhibit clean and healthy behavior, be diligent in exercising and continue to consume nutritious food as well as Class III Baa Facility, will continue to increase synergy and collaboration with related parties such as the local Health Service so that they can vaccinate prisoners in order to increase immunity against and prevent transmission of the COVID-19 virus.

Abstract

One indicator of quality at a community health center is patient satisfaction. The level of patient satisfaction with community health center services can also be seen in the laboratory service unit. The most widely used service quality measures are five dimensions of quality, namely tangibles, reliability, alertness, assurance and attention. The aim of this research is to determine the level of satisfaction of general poly patients with laboratory services at the Naibonat Community Health Center by assessing five dimensions of quality using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) satisfaction level analysis technique. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive survey research design. The population is all general poly patients who have had an examination at the Naibonat Health Center laboratory. The sample size using the Lemeshow formula was 92 respondents with a sampling technique using the accidental sampling method. The results of the satisfaction assessment for each quality dimension are based on the level of conformity, namely tangible 93.82% (very satisfied), reliability 93.02% (very satisfied), responsiveness 95.44% (very satisfied), assurance 94.61% (very satisfied) and empathy 95.69% (very satisfied). Based on the Cartesian Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) diagram, community health centers are expected to maintain the dimensions of tangible quality, alertness and attention and improve quality on several attributes in the quality dimensions of reliability and quality assurance dimensions.

Abstract

The family planning program revitalization focuses on increasing Long Term Contraception Method/MKJP use, including IUD contraception. Data stated that IUD use in the work area of Tena Teke Health Center was still low, as it only reached 2.42%. The research aims to examine the use of IUD contraception among couples of childbearing ages. The method was descriptive qualitative with a case-study approach. Informants were determined by using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of women of childbearing age >35 years old, who had >2 children, and who used/had ever used an IUD. The research results found that informants who were not IUD users felt afraid because they thought IUD had side effects, including abdominal pain and discomfort during sexual intercourse. In contrast, informants who used IUDs believed that the contraceptive was safe to use. Husbands' support for non-IUD users was still limited to accompanying spouses to health facilities but not present during consultation and examination, while IUD informants reported receiving support from their husbands. Informants who did not use an IUD were likely to believe other people's incorrect experiences and stories compared to information from health workers. This was different from IUD informants who obtained clear and correct information about IUDs directly from midwives. Family planning health workers need to increase education by involving husbands in family planning programs.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Cadres are the main drivers in activities at the posyandu because the existence of child nutrition problems in an area is influenced by the role of posyandu cadres. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The informants of this study were 12 people with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and document studies. Data analysis uses the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the role of posyandu cadres in Taebesa Village at the first table in the registration stage has been done well. However, at the second table in the anthropometric measurement stage, it is not optimal because the availability of facilities and infrastructure is insufficient. At the third table, namely filling in the KMS, the role of cadres has not been carried out optimally because only a few cadres can use the table correctly. The fourth table, namely the counseling stage, has also not been carried out optimally. The cadres did not conduct counseling to mothers of toddlers. The fifth table, namely health services, is dedicated to health workers. The cadres are tasked with helping existing services. Overall, the role of posyandu cadres in Taebesa Village is still not optimal. There is a need to improve the ability of cadres in filling KMS and implementing counseling. The availability of facilities and infrastructure must also be improved to support the performance of posyandu cadres.

Abstract

Health is an important element in human life. Utilization of health services is any effort carried out individually or together, in an organization to maintain and improve health, prevent and cure illnesses and restore the health of individuals, families, groups and communities. The utilization of health services in the community in the working area of the Wee Luri Health Center, Central Sumba Regency, is still relatively lacking due to the community's perception of illness. People come to the Wee Luri Health Center when the illness is severe enough. The community assumes that the public health center is for those whose illness is severe in the sense that they are unable to get up from bed This study aimed to determine the factors influencing the utilization of health services in the Wee Luri Health Center working area, Central Sumba Regency, in 2020. Using a descriptive survey and cross-sectional design, the study involved 153 families, with family heads selected through simple random sampling. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test (α = 0.05) revealed significant relationships between education (p = 0.028), insurance ownership (p = 0.001), accessibility (p = 0.010), knowledge (p = 0.005), and perception of illness (p = 0.040) with health service utilization.Wee Luri Health Center needs to further improve health promotion and the quality of health services in order to increase public knowledge and provide comprehensive and integrated services.
