Abstract

Malnutrition in infancy can result disruption on physical growth and intelligence of children. Nutritional problems caused by socio-economic conditions, lack of knowledge about nutrition, lack of nutrient intake and disease infection. Data on the health department of the city of Kupang in 2017, cases of malnourished infants were recorded as many as 240 cases. The purpose of the study was analyze the incidence of malnutrition in children under five in Kupang City. This research is analytic survey research with case control design. Total sampling technique in the case group and systematic random sampling in the control group. The factors that partially influence the incidence of malnutrition (p-value ≤ 0,05) are maternal knowledge about nutrition, the number of family members, the level of energy adequacy, and the level of protein adequacy. Mothers who have toddlers need to pay attention to the nutritional intake of family members, especially toddlers by increasing nutrition knowledge regarding the fulfillment of energy and protein intake.

Abstract

Hipertensi pada remaja sering dikaitkan sebagai penyakit orang dewasa. Namun data menunjukkan bahwa tekanan darah tinggi mulai banyak ditemukan pada kalangan remaja. Penyebab utama peningkatan hipertensi pada remaja adalah gaya hidup yang tidak sehat, yang meliputi aktivitas sedentari, durasi tidur dan asupan makan. Penelitian ini bertujuan Menganalisis aktivitas sedentari, durasi tidur, dan asupan makan sebagai faktor risiko Hipertensi pada remaja SMA Kota Kupang. jenis penelitian adalah Kuantitatif dengan desain Case-Control. Jumlah sampel 104 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportional sampling dan didapatkan 52 kasus dan 52 kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Chi-square dan dihitung kekuatan hubungan faktor risiko dengan menggunakan nilai Odds Ratio (OR). Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan ada hubungan aktivitas sedentari dengan hipertensi pada remaja SMA kota Kupang (p-value= 0,001: OR= 7,295), serta durasi tidur dengan hipertensi (p-value= 0,001: OR= 5,221), asupan karbo dengan hipertensi (p-value= 0,005: OR= 3,167), asupan protein dengan hipertensi (p-value= 0,001: OR= 4,921) dan asupan lemak dengan hipertensi (p-value= 0,001: OR= 5,211. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Aktivitas sedentari, durasi tidur dan asupan  makan merupakan faktor risiko yang dapat memengaruhi terjadinya hipertensi pada remaja SMA Kota Kupang.

Abstract

Masa nifas membutuhkan nutrisi yang akan mempengaruhi proses pemulihan kondisi setelah melahirkan dan menjaga kecukupan ASI. Kebutuhan gizi dapat dipenuhi jika ibu mempertimbangkan pola konsumsi makanan, termasuk jenis makanan, jumlah konsumsi gizi dan frekuensi makan berdasarkan faktor sosial budaya di mana mereka tinggal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap dan tingkat pendidikan dengan pola konsumsi pada ibu nifas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survei analitik dengan desain cross-sectional. Populasi adalah semua ibu nifas yang terdaftar di Puskesmas Alak pada bulan Maret 2017 yang berjumlah 73 orang. Sampel 61 responden dipilih dengan simple random sampling. Tes yang digunakan adalah korelasi Rank Spearman dengan tingkat signifikansi 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel yang berhubungan dengan pola konsumsi makanan ibu nifas adalah pengetahuan gizi (p = 0,001, r = 0,417), sikap ibu (p = 0,000, r = 0,445), dan variabel yang tidak berhubungan dengan konsumsi makanan ibu nifas. pola adalah tingkat pendidikan (p = 0,085). Puskesmas Alak perlu meningkatkan pendidikan kepada ibu postpartum tentang gizi dengan mempertimbangkan factor yang berhubungan dengan pola konsumsi untuk menghindari risiko komplikasi pascapersalinan karena kekurangan gizi.

Abstract

One of the factors which have an important role to increase human resources is giving breastfeeding in the early life of a baby. Babies and children under five years old who get breastfeeding have a low risk of diarrhea compare with those who do not get breastfeeding. Based on the data from the Provincial Health Service Office of East Nusa Tenggara Timur, during January-December 2008, there are 77,741 babies got diarrhea and 16 of them died. The aim of the research is to know the probability of having diarrhea case between babies who got breastfeeding with those who did not have in Puskesmas Bakunase working area during 2009. There were 60 babies have been taken as samples which consisted of 30 babies had diarrhea case and 30 babies were not. Mother’s age, education attainment, outside home job, income, knowledge about breastfeeding, age and nutrition status of the baby were observed as variables in this research. An analytical survey with a retrospective scheme had been used in this research.

Abstract

Meat as a food is a good source of nutrition and prospective. However the meat is very easily damaged if contaminated microbe and will cause poisoning (foodborne diseases) if contaminated pathogen such as Salmonella sp. and Escherichia coli. This research was aimed to analyze the quantity of microbe contamination and identify of Salmonella sp. and Escherichia coli in chicken meat in several marketing areas of Kupang city. While the particular aim is to (1) analyze the quantity of microbe contamination in chicken meat was sold in several marketing areas of Kupang city, (2) identifying the bacteria Salmonella sp. in chicken meat sold in market of Kupang city, (3) identifying bacteria Escherichia coli in chicken meat was sold in market of Kupang city, and (4) to find out the quantity of microbe contamination in chicken meat was sold in three marketing areas. The research design is cross-sectional study using average test to know the differences in the samples, where samples were taken from 3 places of chicken meat market such as Oeba Market, Oebobo Market and Naikoten Market. The data analyse are using a colony counter, anova and the identification.

Abstract

The anemia of iron nutrient is one of the nutrient problems occured in Indonesia and one of main causes of death. The pregnancy have become a vulnerabel group toward iron nutrient anemia as the result of the increase of nutrient needs for mother and fetus. During pregnancy the availabel of iron substance is not comparable with the excalation of blood volume. Manuaba (2007) stated that anemia during pregnancy is strictly dangerous especially when pregnant, giving birth and parturition. The aim of the research is to identify the determinant factors of the incident of iron nutrient anemia toward the pregnancy of Noelbaki in the year of 2010. Variables of the research are iron nutrient anemia, age, age of the pregnancy, the spacing of pregnancy, parity, iron sufficient level of iron substance, prohibited food, and income. Respondents in the research are all pregnancy of Noelbaki that are attempting and following all courses at the local clinic of Noelbaki. The research is analytic research with the design of cross-sectional study. The result of the research base don the multiple logistic regression tests shows that the determinant factor of the incident of iron nutrient anemia of pregnancy in Noelbaki
