Abstract

This study focuses on The Self-Efficacy and Community Perspectives Regarding STBM Pillar 1, specifically the practice of defecation cessation, in Taebenu district, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The research methodology used is qualitative, utilizing interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). Ten individuals were selected as informants as they play a significant role in the community's empowerment process related to sanitation. The data was collected through interviews guided by interview protocols. The outcomes of these interviews and focus Group Discussions (FGDS) were transcribed word-for-word and analyzed thematically. The research findings revealed that the majority of the informants shared latrines with their neighbors. However, they expressed feeling uneasy and rushed while using these facilities. They had to coordinate with their neighbors regarding timing, which often led to defecating in the forest. Additionally, children frequently used their neighbor's latrines. Despite financial constraints, the informants had high self-efficacy and believed that they could afford private toilets. They were motivated to change their behavior regarding defecation cessation to promote good health, maintain cleanliness, avoid embarrassment from neighbors, and protect their children's health. Abstract

This research location is the Borong Health Center, East Borong Manggarai District, this study was carried out on August 21 – September 08, 2023. The type of research used is quantitative research by using cross sectional research building design. The population of all pregnant women with the number of 390 pregnant women scattered in 2 villages and 3 villages, namely Rana Loba Village, Ndora city Village, Nanga Labang Village, Compang Ndejing Village and Golo Kantar Village. Sampling technique uses simple random sampling with a sample of 56 pregnant mothers. Data obtained, analyzed using chi square with a level of disobedience p=0,05. The result of the research show that variables that are significantly related to the compliance of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets are education (0,000), attitude (0,000), family support (0,005) and health officer support (0,004). Variables that do not have significant relationships with the compliance of consuming iron tablets are ages (0,172), work (0,403) and knowledge (0,466). It is recommended that health workers need to provide more intense and effective communication to increase the awareness of pregnant women will benefit from consuming iron tablets.

Abstract

Fast development technology on era now raises exists shift pattern life on society to be all instant and practical including pattern consumption. Instant noodles is wrong one food lots of instant favored. Behavior consumption noodles instant by part big consumer based on with reason no have enough time for consume a complete meal especially for cook and present it. Consumption noodles that instant too often could increase risk and danger for health. Destination study this for knowing description Instant Noodle Consumption Behavior of Students at Public Health Faculty UNDANA living in bording house in Oesapa. Type study this descriptive with approach qualitative. Location study in bording house Oesapa. Time study conducted from month October until November 2022. Amount informants 10 people namely 8 informants key and 2 informants supporters. Technique determination informant use technique snowball sampling. Data analysis using qualitative data analysis that is data reduction, display data on considered things important, and make conclusion . Results study showing frequency consumption noodles instant on informant 2 up to 5 times deep a week. Amount consumption noodles instant every presentation informant use 1 pack, current menu variations presentation informant add sausage and egg. Time consumption, informants consume noodles instant in time eat afternoon and eat night. Should resident students in cost consume noodles instant no in a manner excessive because could cause problem health like obesity, hypertension and disease other. Addition ingredient other food inside serve noodles instant like vegetables green also need for fulfillment needs the nutrients needed by body.

Abstract

The Southwest Sumba District Health Office noted that 27 HIV cases and 17 AIDS cases were recorded in 2018 with a total of 44 people. In 2019, the number of cases decreased slightly, 21 HIV cases and 21 AIDS cases with a total of 42 people. This study aims to describe the knowledge characteristics and self-stigma of PLHIV (People Living with HIV/AIDS) at Karitas Weetebula Hospital, Southwest Sumba Regency, in 2021. This quantitative descriptive research with a cross-sectional approach was conducted from February to March 2022, involving 42 PLHIV as samples selected through total sampling. The results showed that most respondents had good knowledge about HIV/AIDS (73.8%) and the majority were employed as civil servants, entrepreneurs, or laborers (61.9%). Self-stigma among respondents was relatively low; however, social participation (59.6%) and community acceptance of PLHIV (54.8%) remained low. This study recommends enhancing HIV/AIDS health education, particularly in rural communities, to reduce stigma and discrimination against PLHIV

Abstract

Young coconut ice drink is one of the snacks known for its delicious taste and its practical and fresh preparation in Kupang. Young coconut ice drinks have the potential to be contaminated so that they can cause food-borne illnesses (food borne diseases). One of the causes is the Escherichia coli bacterium, which occurs because of the hygienic treatment of foods that do not meet the health requirements. This type of research is descriptive by examining the contents of Escherichia coli and the hygiene description of young coconut drinks suitable for street food snacks in the Oebobo district from 17 to 22 July 2019. The research involves grocers and coconut ice-creams, as well as raw materials for the production of water in all young coconut ice drink producers in the Oebobo district. The number of young coconut ice drink producers in the Oebobo district is 10, so the total sample was used in this study. The data collection method uses observational sheets. The results of this study indicate that there are 6 out of 10 positive samples containing Escherichia coli bacteria, based on the Ministerial Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. The presence of Escherichia coli is said to be contaminated. There are 4 out of 10 manufacturers that meet the health requirements for food handling, equipment, water, food ingredients, additives and service, outlets and dealer centers, based on the Health Minister Decree No. 942 / MENKES / SK / VII / 2003 of the Republic of Indonesia in Terms of hygiene food for snacks.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan pada masa remaja menuntut kebutuhan gizi yang tinggi agar tercapai potensi pertumbuhan secara maksimal. Namun, status kesehatan remaja di Kabupaten Kupang masih sangat rendah, dimana >10% remaja di hampir seluruh wilayah di Kabupaten Kupang mengalami masalah gizi, seperti stunting dan KEK. Masalah gizi remaja seringkali berkaitan dengan gaya hidup dan pola konsumsi yang tidak B2SA. SMAN 1 Amarasi Kabupaten Kupang memiliki mayoritas siswa/i dengan tingkat pengetahuan dan kesadaran yang rendah mengenai pola konsumsi gizi yang B2SA. Akibatnya, siswa/i remaja belum dapat mempraktekkan perilaku makan/pola konsumsi B2SA. Selain itu, pihak sekolah belum pernah mendapatkan kegiatan edukasi ataupun memiliki media informasi mengenai gizi remaja. Permasalahan tersebut dapat menyebabkan siswa/i remaja SMAN 1 Amarasi berisiko tinggi mengalami masalah gizi. PKM perbaikan pola konsumsi B2SA perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan mendorong kemauan dan kemampuan siswa/i SMAN 1 Amarasi untuk menerapkan pola konsumsi B2SA. Solusi yang ditawarkan oleh tim pelaksana adalah melakukan kegiatan penyuluhan kepada para siswa/i remaja SMAN 1 Amarasi mengenai pola konsumsi yang B2SA melalui metode ceramah dan diskusi menggunakan media promosi kesehatan audiovisual, penyediaan perlengkapan demonstrasi dan praktek penilaian status gizi, dan penyediaan media promosi kesehatan tentang susunan makanan dan pola konsumsi B2SA. Sekolah dapat memainkan peranan penting dalam memonitor dan melakukan promosi kesehatan pola konsumsi B2SA yang berkelanjutan pada para siswa/i remaja.

Abstract

Puskesmas Waimangura adalah salah satu puskesmas yang berada di Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya dengan angka kejadian anemia pada remaja sebanyak 235 pada tahun 2021. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara jenis makanan, frekuensi makanan dan pengetahuan gizi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Waimangura. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik dengan desain case control. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Waimangura pada bulan Juni-Juli tahun 2023. Besar sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 122 responden. Jenis uji statistik menggunakan uji chi-square dengan α= 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel jenis makanan (p-value= 0,000), frekuensi makanan (p-value= 0,001), dan pengetahuan gizi (p-value= 0,002) berhubungan dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Waimangura Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya. Remaja putri diharapkan lebih memperhatikan jenis dan frekuensi makanan serta lebih berperan aktif dalam mencari informasi mengenai pengetahuan tentang gizi.
