Abstract

Because students were having trouble picturing the three-dimensional system of coordinates in a spatial analysis geometry course, their mathematical problem-solving abilities were still low. Educational movies that aid in visualization are essential for pupils. The study at hand used a design consisting of a pretest-posttest control group and was quasi-experimental in nature. While the control class experienced conventional teaching, the learners in the experimental group learned using three-dimensional coordinate system audiovisual media. A test of one's capacity to solve mathematical problems was used, along with observation sheets and interviews. A total of thirty-four participants made up the sample for this study, which was carried out at the University of Pattimura's Mathematics Education Study Program. Evaluation was of t-testing outcomes on mathematical problem-solving skills. The findings demonstrated that students' proficiency in solving problems with mathematics increased when they were taught to use a video about the three-dimensional coordinate system.

Abstract

Abstract

Learning Videos are one of the effective learning media in supporting the teaching and learning process during the COVID-19 Pandemic. With the help of the geogebra application and pen tablet tools made in the form of learning videos, it is very helpful for students to understand abstract concepts to be visually clear. (This research is a study with a pretestt-postestt non equivalent control group design. The experimental class was treated with a learning video made with the help of the geogebra application and pen tablet while the control class learned using powerpoint. The results obtained by the value of Sign. (2-tailed) testing of the N-Gain score is 0.00 less than a so that H0 is rejected, meaning that the improvement in the learning outcomes of experimental class students is better than control class students, meaning that there is a difference in the improvement of student learning outcomes on spherical material in the analytical geometry course of significant space

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) the learning outcomes of students taught using the discovery learning model on statistical material for grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 20 Ambon; (2) student learning outcomes taught using problem solving learning models on statistical material for grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 20 Ambon; (3) differences in student learning outcomes taught using the discovery learning model and the problem solving learning model in statistical material for grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 20 Ambon. The type of research used is Quasi Experimental with a Nonequivalent Control Group design. The population in this study was all grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 20 Ambon, totaling 44 students using saturated sampling techniques, 22 students from class VIII-1 and 22 students from class VIII-2 were taken to be sampled. The instrument used in this study is a test question. The results showed that there were differences in the learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 20 Ambon who were taught using the discovery learning learning model and the problem solving learning model on statistical material. This can be seen from the results of the t-test, namely the sig of value. (2-tailed) = 0.013 < α= 0.05 so that accepted and rejected.
