Abstract

Saccharin is an artificial sweetener made from sodium salt, sodium saccharin with the chemical formula C7H5NO3S from saccharin acid which is in the form of white crystalline powder, easily soluble in water, odorless and very sweet. Saccharin has a sweetness level of 300-600 times that of natural sweeteners. This artificial sweetener also has a maximum limit for its use, namely according to Bpom No. 11. In 2019, it is 954 mg/l. The aim of the research is to determine whether there is a saccharin compound present or not and to find out how much saccharin is contained in iced tea drinks circulating on the Sapta Marga road in the Mataram City area.Sampling uses predeterminet criteria. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The analysis in this research was carried out in 2 types, namely qualitative analysis using the resorcinol color test method and quantitative analysis using the Uv-Vis spectrophotometry method. The results of qualitative identification using the color test method carried out on 5 samples of iced tea drinks did not produce positive samples so that all samples were not continued to the quantitative test stage.

Abstract

Clean water is a source of basic needs for all forms of life. Water quality must be ensured before use, and water sources must be monitored regularly. The use of unclean water is one of the causes of skin diseases. Various age groups can be affected by skin diseases, especially the age group of children, who are still vulnerable. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of clean water in the Taha Qur'an Education Park, which was reviewed biologically. This type of research is Descriptive Qualitative. The population in this study were all the water taps in the Taha Qur'an Education Park. The selection of all samples as a population was due to the fact that there were only two water taps at the Taha Quranic Education Park. Based on the results of biological quality tests, including Coliform tests and Escherichia Coli tests obtained in water, it is known that the results of the coliform test obtained in sample A were 10 MPN / 100ml and in sample B 168MPN / 100 ml, and the results of Escherichia Coli in sample A were 15,000 MPN / 100ml and in Sample B 5,000 MPN / 100ml. The water used by the students is still considered unfit for consumption due to the presence of coliform and Escherichia coli bacteria, which can cause disease in humans. Treatment is needed to reduce the bacterial content in the sanitation facilities at the Taha Quranic Education Park.

Abstract

Air merupakan salah satu kebutuhan pokok manusia, segala aktifitas manusia membutuhkan air dalam prosesnya. Air yang dapat digunakan harus memenuhi persyaratan baik secara Fisik,Kimia maupun biologi.Banyak masyarakat masih menggunakan Air tanah atau air sumur sebagai sumber air bersih. Air tanah atau air sumur yang menjadi salah satu sumber air minum perlu diperhatikan kelayakannya. Hal ini disebabkan air sumur terkontaminasi rembesan dari tangki septic tank maupun air permukaan yang tercemar. Oleh karena hal tersebut, air sumur sering mengandung banyak polutan seperti bakteri. Sehingga dibutuhkan klorin sebagai desinfektan. Tujuan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi kepada kelompok kader untuk tata cara penggunaan klorin yang benar sebagai Desinfektan. Dengan adanya Sosialisasi ini diharapkan dapat membantu untuk menambah pengetahuan dan wawasan kader sehingga dapat memberikan nformasi secara rinci kepada masyarakat.
