Abstract

Hydrothermal treatment is one of the thermochemical methods to convert complex organic compounds, such as organic waste and biomass, into upgraded solid, bio-oil, and other dissolved chemicals by utilizing the properties of water at near critical condition. Such method is very potential since the process is environmentally friendly and the products have more added values. In this research, conversion of mahogany sawdust (Swietenia macrophylla) using hydrothermal treatment method was studied. The experiments were conducted in a batch autoclave with temperature range of 200-300oC and initial pressure of 1 MPa. At targeted temperature, the process was hold for 30 minutes. In addition, biomass-water ratio (B/W ratio) for experiments was varied at 1:20, 2:20 and 3:20. The liquid products, which were characterized by Gas chromatography-Mass spectrometry (GC/MS) instrument, showed the presence of furfural and several organic acids, but no flavonoid compounds. Thus, coloring potential test of hydrothermal liquid was unsuccessful; there were not any color attached on the cloth specimen. On the other hand, proximate and ultimate test results indicated that solid products had high heating value (HHV) of 4625.34-4876.25 cal/g which were comparable to that of sub-bituminous coal.

Abstract

Qur'an Education Park is a nonformal education facility that has many students. Apart from being a place for learning knowledge, Quran Education Park also has the potential to become a place of a transmission. One of the factors influencing the spread of disease is the presence of germs in the Air. This study aims to determine the air quality in the classroom. The study showed the number of bacteria in the classroom at the Taha Qur'an Education Park, Sanggar District, Bima Regency. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross-sectional study approach. The highest number of bacterial colonies was in room 2, with the measurement time in the afternoon with a total of 2569 CFU/m3. Characterization showed that the average bacteria were gram-positive, and characteristics according to the average colony were pinpoint size. Conclusions from the research on quality air bacteriology in the Taha Quran Education Park do not meet the requirements according to KEPMENKES RI No. 1204/MENKES/SK/X/2002 concerning classroom (200-500 CFU/m3).

Abstract

Gerakan pola hidup sehat di masyarakat sedang ditingkatkan melalui berbagai program yang dijalankan oleh pemerintah. Menurut Kementerian Kesehatan kondisi sehat dapat dicapai dengan mengubah perilaku dari tidak sehat menjadi perilaku sehat dan menciptakan lingkungan sehat. Program tersebut dinamakan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). Kegiatan PHBS salah satunya dengan tindakan Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS).Cuci tangan pakai sabun (CTPS) dengan air mengalir diakui secara global sebagai salah satu perilaku kebersihan yang paling mendasar dengan dampak kesehatan yang besar. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi kepada Guru serta Siswa Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Kebun Kongok tentang tatalaksana Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS) dengan Baik dan benar. Kegiatan Pengabdian Mayarakat ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 September 2022, Adapun sosialisasi yang diberikan adalah Bagaimana cara melakukan Cuci Tangan Pakai sabun (CTPS) dengan baik dan benar serta akibat yang ditimbulkan apabila tidak mencuci tangan menggunakan pakai sabun, kegiatan sosialiasasi ini dirangkaikan dengan pembagian masker kepada para siswa dan guru di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Kebun Kongok. Selama sosialisai Kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat berjalan dengan lancar. Dengan adanya Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini, diharapkan para siswa serta guru di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Kebun Kongok dapat menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat salah satunya dengan menerapkan Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS) di lingkup sekolahnya.

Abstract

Kabupaten Lombok Barat dalam mengurus sendiri rumah tangganya termasuk melakukan pengendalian dan pengelolaan sampah telah membuat suatu Peraturan Perundang-undangan yaitu Peraturan Bupati Lombok Barat Nomor 6a Tahun 2015 tentang Pengelolaan persampahan/kebersihan. Zero waste merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meminimalisir sampah mulai dari produksi sampah berakhirnya suatu produksi.. Prinsip yang digunakan dalam konsep zero waste ini tidak hanya 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), namun juga 4R hingga 5R yaitu Reduce, Ruse, Recycle, Replace, dan Replant. Desa Suka Makmur memiliki 12 Dusun, di antaranya adalah Dusun Egok Selatan dan Dusun Egok Tengah. Berdasarkan observasi tim dengan cara menemui Kepala Desa Suka Makmur dan Kepala Dususn Egok Tegah dan Kepala Dusun Egok Selatan diperoleh suatu masalah yaitu terkait dengan sampah rumah tangga. Berbagai macam jenis sampah rumah tangga di antaranya adalah sampah pelastik, sampah sisa makanan, sampah sayuran, kulit buah, dedaunan dsbPengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini akan melakukan sosialisasi atau Pelatihan Pengelolan Sampah Rumah Tangga dengan Konsep Zero Waste di Dusun Egok Selatan dan Egok Tengah Desa Suka Makmur Kec. Gerung Lombok Barat Tahun 2022.

Abstract

Taman Wisata Perairan Gili Meno, Gili Air dan Gili Trawangan (TWP Gili Matra) merupakan taman wisata perairan yang menjadi andalan wisata selam di Nusa Tenggara Barat, karena memiliki keunikan biodiversitas terumbu karang, lamun dan mangrove yang ada dipandu dengan keindahan pantai dan bawah laut yang sangat indah. Perpaduan panorama alam yang dimiliki merupakan daya Tarik terutama bagi wisatawan, baik wisatawan asing atau mancanegara maupaun wisatawan domestic. Dilain pihak tingginya kunjungan wisatawan yang berwisata di kawasan konservasi ini dapat berdampak pada penurunan kondisi sumberdaya alam perairan yang ada di TWP Gili Matra itu sendiri, berakibat pada kebutuhan biaya pengelolaan yang tidak kecil, sehingga membutuhkan pendanaan yang berkelanjutan, mersepon tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pengelolaan kawasan TWP Gili Matra ini, maka pengabdian ini bermaksud untuk mensosialisasikan kepada seluruh stakeholder yang ada di TWP Gili Matra terkait pentingnya tersedianya dana yang kontinya untuk pengelolaan taman wisata perairan ini, sehingga tetap lestari, adapun saat ini, sumber pendanaan yang dikelola oleh Balai Kawasan Konservasi Perairan (BKKPN) Kupang sebagai pemilik kawasan adalah pemungutan Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak (PNBP) di TWP Gili Matra, dengan sumber dana yang telah ditetapkan berdasarkan peraturan menteri terkait, sosialisasi terkait PNBP ini penting untuk dilakukan, untuk dapat terus meningkatkan pelayanan agar PNBP yang ditargetkan dapat tercapai, sebagai biaya pengelolaan kawasan TWP Gili Matra itu Kembali, sehingga TWP Gili Matra data terjaga kelestariannya, serta pentingnya mengkaji opsi sumber dana pengelolaan lainnya yang bisa di terapkan dan dijalankan di TWP Gili Matra selain bersumber dari dari APBN itu sendiri

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the air quality in the community settlements around the Kebon Kongok Dusun Landfill, Suka Makmur Village, West Lombok Regency. The type of research used was an experiment using NA media as a growth medium for bacteria at 3 points passed by garbage trucks in community settlements and 1 point not passed by garbage trucks in the Kebon Kongok landfill area, Suka Makmur Village. Air quality in residential communities around the waste disposal sites (WDS) Suka Makmur Village does not meet the requirements based on the Minister of Health Regulation number 1077 of 2011 concerning the requirements for biological contaminants, namely the germ count of less than 700 CFU/m3. The air quality index is lower than the other points, namely at Point I of 3,779 CFU/m3, because Point I is a sampling location far from garbage trucks going to the TPA. The highest results in this study were obtained at Point IV, which was 6,933 CFU/m3; this was estimated because the sampling location was in a community settlement which was less than 50 meters from the Kebon Kongok TPA gate with active trucks and heavy equipment activity in the TPA. Microscopic observation obtained gram-positive bacteria at all points.

Abstract

Sampah yang timbul dari aktivitas yang dilakukan manusia semakin bertambah volumenya seiring meningkatnya populasi penduduk, tingkat konsumsi, serta kemajuan teknologi. Sampah rumah tangga merupakan salah satu sumber sampah yang cukup besar peranannya dalam peningkatan volume sampah di suatu lingkungan sehingga perlu melakukan pengolahan sampah organik dengan mengolahnya menjadi kompos (pupuk organik). Limbah organik yang dihasilkan bersumber dari limbah pertanian, perkebunan dan rumah tangga. 40% limbah organik tersebut belum termanfaatkan dengan optimal, karena terkendala pada tingkat kesadaran, tingkat pengetahuan dan ekonomi masyarakat, sehingga dengan melakukan edukasi dan pelatihan memanfaatkan limbah organik untuk membuat Mikroorganisme Lokal (MOL) sebagai aktivator pupuk organik pada KWT, merupakan alternatif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan KWT , sehingga dapat mengedukasi masyarakat agar tidak melakukan pembakaran sampah, dan agar tetap menjaga kelestarian lingkungan serta dapat dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan ekonomis masyarakat.Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode praktikum secara langsung dan metode ceramah.sehingga diperoleh Mol dari nasi dan bonggol pisang.Pemakaian pupuk organik yang dikombinasikan dengan mol dapat menghemat penggunaan pupuk kimia hingga 400 kg per musim tanam pada 1 ha sawah. Waktu pembuatan relatif singkat dan cara pembuatannya mudah. Selain itu mol juga ramah lingkungan

Abstract

Banyaknya Timbulan Sampah Anorganik Yang Ada Di Desa Suka Makmur Menjadi Salah Satu Masalah Pencemaran Lingkungan Yang Harus Segera Di Tangani. Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Sampah Anorganik Yang Dilakukan Agar Warga Desa Suka Makmur Dapat Meminimalisir Sampah Rumah Tangga Yang Dihasilkan Dan Menjadikan Sampah Menjadi Suatu Barang Yang Berguna Dan Bernilai Ekonomi Dan Dapat Dijadikan Suatu Usaha Desa Berwawasan Lingkungan Yang Berkelanjutan. Metode Yang Digunakan Pada  Pengabdian Ini Adalah Dengan Diskusi Dan Tanya Jawab Serta Pengolahan Langsung Barang Bekas Menjadi Barang Yang Bernilai Guna. Hasil Kegiatan Pelatihan Ini Dapat Menjadi Rutinitas Atau Menajdi Salah Satu Kegiatan Inti Dan Penting Di Dusun Kedatok Maupun Kebon Kongok Karena Memiliki Manfaat Yang Luar Biasa Diantaranya Adalah Memanfaatkan Sampah Anorganik Yang Susah Terurai Dan Menajdikan Ibu-Ibu Di Di Desa Suka Makmur Memiliki Kegiatan Yang Dapat Menajdikan Peluang Usaha Yang Bermanfaat Bagi Dirinya Dan Masyarakat Sekitar.

Abstract

Health centers are health service facilities that produce waste containing microorganisms, toxic chemicals and radioactive materials that are dangerous and can pose risks to health and the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the sources of health center waste and the types of waste from health center activities. This research method is a type of cross-sectional study, and data collection is done by filling out a questionnaire. The results of the study are the sources of health center waste, namely from the activities of the dental clinic, laboratory, Maternal and Child Health room, and the Emergency Unit room. The types of health center waste are liquid, domestic, solid medical, and toxic and hazardous. For the processing of liquid waste, all health centers in Mataram City have adequate wastewater treatment plants, either with a biofilter wastewater treatment plant system or other types of wastewater treatment plants, from 11 health centers, which have carried out sorting and have temporary storage places, namely 8 health centers. The process of managing medical waste involves sorting, transportation, storage and final processing with a third party. The weak point of B3 waste management is in the recording and sorting system of B3 solid waste and routine reporting of environmental management efforts and environmental monitoring efforts to related agencies that have not been able to be carried out by all existing health center agencies.

Abstract

The northern part of Central Lombok Regency is a pristine area, one of which is Darmaji Village, with the majority of the population working as farm/plantation laborers and farmers/planters, as well as casual laborers. Generally, farmers use chemical fertilizers for plants on agricultural land and buy EM4 as a starter for making compost. From the problem of using chemical fertilizers and the constraints of the cost of purchasing EM4, a work program was created by utilizing surrounding waste or using leftover vegetables, rotten fruit and banana stems as basic ingredients for making MOL and organic fertilizer. The purpose of the service is to provide socialization, education and training to the KWT of Darmaji Village about MOL, organic fertilizer and how to make MOL, organic fertilizer by utilizing household waste. The benefits of this work program are that the Women Farmer Groups who attend can gain knowledge about MOL, organic fertilizer and how to make MOL and organic fertilizer by utilizing household waste that is easily available in the surrounding environment. The implementation time of this work program is October 2024 in Darmaji Village, Kopang District, Central Lombok Regency. The process of implementing the socialization began with the presentation of material on the definition of MOL, organic fertilizer, the impact of chemical fertilizers, the benefits of MOL and organic fertilizers, and the basic materials that can be used in making MOL and organic fertilizers. The target audience of the service is the Darmaji Village Women Farmers Group. This work program goes through two stages, namely the presentation of materials and then training. The results of this work program are MOL products, compost products and based on the evaluation of understanding, namely the MOL challenge before the activity, around 69% did not understand, 30% enough and 1% good, while after the activity around 60% were good, 30% understood enough, 10% did not understand. Organic Fertilizer before the activity 70% understood enough, 5% good and 25% less, after the activity 80% were good, 10% enough, 5% did not understand, based on the results of the evaluation, this activity is useful according to the needs of the Community.
