Abstract

This research is correlational research. With the correlation technique can be known relationship variation in a variable with other variations, the magnitude or height of the relationship is expressed in the form of correlation coefficient. Based on this opinion, the authors conducted a correlational study to determine the effect of service quality on public satisfaction in the Regional Tax Management and Retribution Palembang City. The results of research and discussion explain the reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and direct evidence affect the Public Satisfaction at the Regional Tax and Retribution Agency Palembang City. This explains the public (the people) are satisfied with the performance of the services of the Palembang City Municipal Tax and Retribution Agency related to the reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and direct evidence. Reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and direct evidence also give effect to Public Satisfaction at Local Tax and Retribution Agency of Palembang City. This explains precisely the preparation and embodiment of service variables consisting of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and direct evidence in the operations of the Regional Tax and Retribution Agency of Palembang City, especially in forming Public Satisfaction requesting services. Correlation can also be seen that the level of correlation between variables of service quality variables such as reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and direct evidence, in a correlation position is very weak and even considered none at all. Unless the correlation between responsiveness and empathy is in very strong position.

Abstract

This research is a policy study that discusses the efforts of the Central Statistics Agency for the City of Palembang in implementing bureaucratic reform. Based on the results of this study, the results of research and discussion show that this study aims to analyze the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 81 of 2010 concerning Bureaucratic Reform at the Palembang City BPS Office, and to gain an understanding of the meaning of Bureaucratic Reform for Palembang City BPS office employees. This research method is qualitative. Primary data were collected through observation and interviews, while secondary data were obtained from documentation and literature studies that were relevant to the research object. The parameters measured are based on the implementation model of bureaucratic reform from aspects that include aspects of the institution (organization), management and human resources of the apparatus. In its implementation, it still encounters various kinds of obstacles, the main obstacles are the coordination of the Palembang City BPS Technical Team is still not at the Palembang City BPS itself but is in other agencies. The process of bureaucratic reform is certainly still far from what is expected by the community. BPS Palembang City is expected to be able to solve the problems that have caused the creation of an effective and efficient government. In the end, this research shows that the implementation of bureaucratic reform at BPS Palembang City requires a more effective and efficient control and incentive system.

Abstract

Di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, tepatnya di OKU Timur, hanya tersedia fasilitas pendidikan tingkat PAUD dan Sekolah Dasar. Tidak ada sekolah menengah pertama atau sekolah menengah atas; Meningkatnya jenjang pendidikan setelah SD membuat banyak siswa SD di OKU Timur tidak berminat untuk melanjutkan ke jenjang berikutnya karena jarak dan biaya yang harus ditempuh untuk sampai ke sekolah sasarannya. Oleh karena itu, minat membaca siswa menjadi berkurang, terutama karena sarana dan prasarana perpustakaan sekolah belum memadai. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan individual yang dilakukan secara berkelompok menjadi tiga bagian (timedu-support, tim motivasi, dan tim bimbingan konseling). Beberapa hasil ditemukan dari tiga aspek: (1) Tim Motivasi, ditemukan perbedaan tingkat minat belajar siswa; (2) Tim Penyuluhan, membentuk organisasi kepemudaan untuk menggerakkan kegiatan masyarakat OKU Timur, seperti lomba, pengajian rutin, gotong royong, dan sebagainya; (3) Tim Pendukung Edu, memperbaiki 3 sarana pendidikan yaitu perpustakaan sekolah, taman baca desa dan lapangan serba guna.

Abstract

Pengabdian yang dilaksanakan memiliki tujuan memberikan edukasi kepada mitra (warga Dempo Makmur) sehingga limbah salak dapat diolah menjadi produk yang berguna bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dikuti sedikitnya 30 orang, dan mayoritas warga yang hadir adalah anggota Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) Dempo Makmur. Untuk memperlancar kegiatan serta membantu PKK di Dempo Makmur Kota Pagar Alam, Sumatera Selatan juga diberikan sebuah alat penggiling biji salak untuk kelancaran pengembangan kompetensi dan juga sarana menghasilkan income rumah tangga dan juga masyrakat di Pagar Alam. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah pelatihan pembuatan daging buah salak menjadi produk makanan dan biji salak menjadi kopi. Untuk membantu mempermudah mitra dalam mengolah biji salak, satu unit penggiling biji diberikan kepada mitra, untuk mendukung warga desa dalam mengolah biji salak. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, kegiatan dailakukan dalam 2 bentuk pelatihan yaitu pelatihan pengoahan buah salak menjadi produk makanan dan pelatihan pengolahan biji salak untuk kopi.

Abstract

Banyaknya produk UMKM yang masih susah untuk bersaing dikarenakan banyaknya kendala yang dihadapi oleh UKM. Salah satunya adalah minimnya informasi mengenai pentingnya kemasan terhadap pemasaran produk. Mindset para pelaku UMKM di Desa Gumukrejo Teras Boyolali sebagian besar masih belum menganggap bahwa kemasan atas produk yang dihasilkan penting untuk meningkatkan penjualan. Merubah mindset mengenai pentingnya Packaging yang menarik sangat diperlukan untuk para pelaku UMKM di Desa Gumukrejo saat ini. Sehingga hasil dari pelatihan ini diharapkan mampu merubah Mindset bagi para pelaku UMKM untuk dapat melakuan packaging yang menarik atas produk yang mereka hasilkan menaikkan omset penjualan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explain the performance of librarians in providing public services at the South Sumatra Province Library and Archives Service and to explain the inhibiting factors of librarian performance in providing public services. The low competence of librarian human resources and the lack of number of librarians in the Soeman HS public library managed by the South Sumatra Province Library and Archives Service, means that the number of services available and the amount of workload is not balanced. The research method used is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. while the research informants who were included by researchers were 12 (twelve) people. The results of this study explain that the performance of librarians in providing public services at the Riau Province Library and Archives Service is quite good according to their main duties and functions. However, in the context of Human Resources, qualified librarians are still needed through appointments made by the Regional Government or from librarianship training with the aim that services at the South Sumatra Province Library and Archives Service can improve. If seen from the performance indicators based on Sedarmayanti's theory, there are still inhibiting factors for librarian performance in providing public services at the South Sumatra Province Library and Archives Service, namely. Judging from the work quality indicators, there is still a lack of user guidance for novice users who need to get various information and facilities needed available in the library; Judging from the timeliness indicator, there is still a lack of discipline in returning books. Judging from the Initiative Indicators, there is still a lack of cooperation with schools in Palembang City. Judging from the Capability Indicator, there is still a lack of individual librarian competence. Judging from the communication indicators, there is still a lack of information guides in the Soeman HS library. Librarians need to improve performance in providing services in terms of quality and quantity of work by participating in training or technical guidance to increase competence.

Abstract

Socialization and counseling activities regarding village administrative governance are part of community service activities. The purpose of this socialization and counseling is to improve the ability or quality of the Marga Sungsang Pemdes village apparatus, especially in the field of administrative governance. The method used is socialization and counseling with dialogue or brainstorming techniques. With this activity, the performance and administrative capabilities of village staff and village officials as well as BUMDES managers in Marga Sungsang Village, Banyusin II District, Banyuasin Regency, will increase, so that it will change the traditional way of work into a professional way of working to improve community services.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had the impact of weakening the family economy, many workers have been laid off, and businesses are not running optimally. On the other hand, the group of mothers has free time, the potential to be productive independently by working from home, but they don't have the skills yet. So to overcome this problem the service team carried out sewing training service activities. This service activity aims to empower women, increase women's creativity and independence in Mekar Jaya Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This service method is socialization, training, and sewing assistance which includes pattern making, cutting, and sewing. This service activity is carried out face-to-face or offline while adhering to health protocols. Sewing training is carried out in several stages. First, the participants were trained to make patterns using cardboard and then applied them to the fabric. Second, the participants were taught how to cut cloth properly. Third, participants are trained to sew using the correct technique, so the results are neat. The fabric used is Troso woven fabric, so that participants will be able to utilize local Jepara products. The participants' responses to this service showed that 95% of the material aspects rated it very well, the facilitator aspect 90% rated it very well, and the rest responded well. The results of this dedication show that 85% of the participants succeeded in being skilled in sewing, seen from the success of the participants in starting a sewing service business, and convection from cloth after participating in the service activities.
