Abstract

Strategi peningkatan mutu perguruaan tinggi tidak terlepas dari sistem pengembangan yang terencana terarah dan teratur dalam menjalankan roda organisasi, upaya-upaya dan terobosan yang produktif sangat perlu dilakukan serta dikembangkan karena perguruan tinggi merupakan wadah untuk mencetak generasi intelektual sekaligus pencetak generasi-generasi yang memiliki akhlakul karimah. Strategi dalam pengembangan mutu perguruan tinggi tidak hanya di mulai dari membangun sarana prasarana yang memadai tetapi juga sangat diperhatikan pengembangan SDM (Sumber Daya Manusia), agar memiliki daya saing baik di level nasional dan juga level Internasional karena menurut hemat penulis perguruan tinggi yang bermutu itu mampu menjawab tantangan, kebutuhan, dan keinginan masyarakat seiring dengan kemajuan dan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan yang terus maju.

Abstract

Education is the main foundation for the development of competitive human resources, but access to equitable education is still a serious challenge for children from underprivileged families. Economic inequality results in low school participation among vulnerable groups, although the government has launched the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) as an affirmative strategy to encourage education sustainability through cash assistance. This study aims to describe the implementation of PIP and analyze its role in increasing school participation of underprivileged children. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation from PIP recipients, parents, principals, and program managers in the research area. The results show that PIP contributes positively to the sustainability of education through the reduction of economic barriers, but its effectiveness is still influenced by the validity of recipient data, delays in the distribution of funds, and social support in the surrounding environment. This research emphasizes the importance of synergy between education policy, technical supervision, and community participation in supporting poor children to continue to access formal education. These findings make conceptual contributions to social justice theory and enrich practical understanding of the implementation of more inclusive and contextual educational assistance programs.

Abstract

The declining regeneration of ulema presents a serious challenge to the sustainability of Islamic education in Jambi. This study investigates how the traditional Arakan Sahur ritual, once rooted in communal religious practice, has been reframed by Kiai into a leadership strategy to prepare future scholars. Emphasizing values of togetherness, discipline, social harmony, and empowerment, Arakan Sahur is adapted within pesantren to foster students’ spiritual resilience and leadership capacity. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through interviews with Kiai, students, and community leaders, alongside observations of leadership practices reflecting Arakan Sahur values. Thematic analysis, strengthened by triangulation, revealed that these values underpin an adaptive leadership model that blends local wisdom with modern approaches, including digital da’wah tools. This adaptation strengthens the relevance of Islamic education, equipping students to navigate contemporary challenges while remaining rooted in tradition. The findings affirm the importance of preserving local religious practices as dynamic resources for leadership development in pesantren. Overall, the study shows how cultural traditions can be revitalized to support sustainable ulema regeneration and contribute to educational renewal in modern Islamic contexts.

Abstract

One of the challenges of Islamic education today is the dichotomy of science, between the sciences (‘ulum al-dunya) with the religious sciences (‘ulum al-syar’i). Indonesian Muslim intellectuals who tried to formulate Islamic education in accordance with haparan religion, nation and State, namely Muhammad Natsir. Focus problem in this research is how Muhammad Natsir Thinking about Islamic Education, How Integral Thought Muhammad Natsir. Thought Muhammad Natsir about Integral Islamic education is the education model that combine general education and religious education, sustainability is evidenced by not polarize between west and east. To implement the Islamic education curriculum Integral Muhammad Natsir used is the national curriculum and religious curriculum. The concept of Integral Muhammad Natsir Islamic education is the idea for the renewal of Islamic Religious Education, which now more and more the secularists to separate religion from life. Salah satu tantangan pendidikan Islam saat ini adalah dikotomi ilmu, yakni ilmu-ilmu alam (‘ulum al-dunya) dengan ilmu-ilmu agama (‘ulum al-syar’i). Salah satu intelektual Muslim Indonesia yang mencoba merumuskan pendidikan Islam sesuai dengan haparan, bangsa agama dan Negara, ialah Muhammad Natsir. Fokus masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pemikiran Muhammad Natsir tentang Pendidikan Islam, dan pendidikan Islam Integral. Pemikiran Muhammad Natsir tentang pendidikan Islam Integral adalah model pendidikan yang menggabungkan pendidikan umum dan pendidikan agama. Keberlanjutan ini dibuktikan dengan tidak mempolarisasi antara barat dan timur. Untuk menerapkan kurikulum pendidikan Islam Integral, Muhammad Natsir menggunakan kurikulum nasional dan kurikulum agama. Konsep Muhammad Natsir tentang pendidikan Islam Integral adalah gagasan dalam pembaharuan Pendidikan Agama Islam, yang sekarang lebih condong sekuler, memisahkan agama dari kehidupan.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the influence of spiritual competence and interpersonal skills in improving health equity from the perspective of Islamic education management. This quantitative research used a descriptive approach and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The data were collected through the ArcGIS Survey123 online questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale, with 145 valid responses through stratified random sampling consisting of 61 (42.06%) lecturers, 29 (20%) administrative staff, and 54 (37.24%) students at one of the private Islamic universities. The research results showed that lecturers’ interpersonal and spiritual dimensions had a positive and significant effect, confirming the central role of lecturers in building social relationships and spiritual values in the educational environment. On the other hand, the influence on staff was positive but insignificant, while on students, it tended to be negative and insignificant. The research confirmed that lecturers’ spiritual competence and interpersonal skills could be effective strategies to promote health equity in the management of Islamic education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif rektor terhadap kinerja dosen di Institut Agama Islam (IAI) Nusantara Batanghari. Gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif didefinisikan sebagai kemampuan seorang pemimpin untuk melibatkan dosen dalam pengambilan keputusan, menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, memberikan dukungan, motivasi, dan menjalin hubungan yang baik dengan dosen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif rektor memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap kinerja dosen di IAI Nusantara Batanghari. Dosen merasa dihargai, termotivasi, dan termotivasi untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam mencapai tujuan perguruan tinggi. Keberhasilan gaya kepemimpinan ini memiliki dampak positif pada kualitas lulusan dan reputasi perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman tentang pentingnya gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif dalam meningkatkan kinerja dosen di perguruan tinggi. Namun, penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengkaji bagaimana gaya kepemimpinan ini dapat diterapkan secara efektif di berbagai konteks perguruan tinggi. Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah perlunya pengembangan dan pendekatan kepemimpinan yang lebih luas untuk mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan perguruan tinggi.
