Abstract

City Branding is a promotion strategy to increase the attractiveness of tourism which is very popular lately, as evidenced by various regions in Indonesia trying to shape the character of their regional tourism so that it can be more easily recognized only through a term. The Siak Regency Government also utilizes City Branding as one of the promotion strategies in increasing the attractiveness of its regional tourism, namely through "Siak The Truly Malay" which has been patented through the Directorate of Copyright and Industrial Design of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. From the various explanations above it can be seen that the Siak Regency Government held so many events that were carried out in an effort to attract tourism, but the Siak Regency Government needed to add events tourism that reflected the Malay culture because this destination City Branding not only attracted domestic tourists but also foreign tourists, because geographically Siak Regency is close to neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Singapore. Research conducted at the Siak Regency Tourism Office is very necessary to be carried out considering the City Branding Strategy "Siak The Truly Malay" has been launched and should be able to attract the interest of foreign tourists in particular. For that the Siak Regency Government needs to increase its tourist attraction in the area.

Abstract

Riau Province has 12 City Regencies and from 12 City Regencies in Riau Province have 58 Potentials and 45 Development Directions. In 2017 Riau Province won the overall prize of the Indonesian Charm Anugerah (API) as a prestigious tourism event at the National level by winning 7 categories. This is an interesting issue to discuss about how the Community-based Tourism Development Strategy in Pekanbaru, Riau Province, with a new model. Furthermore, based on information from the Central Statistics Agency of Riau Province, Riau has a large and medium industrial company which got 219 industries in 2014 and has a micro and small industrial company with 17,435 industries in 2015 and increased from the previous year. Based on information from the Riau Provincial Tourism Office, the phenomenon obtained by researchers from 219 large and medium industries was only 2 companies that implemented CSR in BRI and Telkomsel, and other phenomena related to information from the Riau provincial tourism service from 5 tourism development campaigns. the community is the weakest actor in Riau province. This is what the authors of this research consider. The purpose of this study is to apply the Model of Corporate Social Responsibility Tourism Development (CSR) in Pekanbaru City. This research method is a qualitative descriptive study, a research that aims to describe and analyze the Pekanbaru government in Riau Province in developing community-based tourism (CBT) using the contribution of Corporate Social Responsibility (SCR). Outputs published as publications published in national journals that are not reputed are published in The conclusion in this study is that Community Based Tourism Development uses Corporate Social Responsibility funds very effectively and efficiently in use to support tourism development in Riau Province.

Abstract

In an effort to improve the welfare of the fishermen community, PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai created the Minapolitan Village CSR program. However, in the implementation of the program there are still problems, First, the Minapolitan village development program has not made the right contribution to the results desired by the TUNA fishermen group. The second problem is that the form of assistance provided for the Minapolitan Village Program often fails and does not generate any profit for the Tuna Fishermen's Group. The aim of the research is to analyze the Development of the Minapolitan Village CSR Program Model PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai to the Tuna Fishermen Group. The research method uses qualitative methods. The findings on the Leadership indicator are implemented, the Proportion of Assistance indicator is quite implemented, the Transparency and Accountability indicator is Enough Implemented, the Area Coverage indicator is implemented, the Planning indicator is implemented, the Stakeholder Engagement indicator is Enough Implemented, the Sustainability indicator is not implemented enough, and the Real Results indicator is quite feasible. The conclusion of this study is the development of the Minapolitan Village CSR Program model by PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai for the Tuna Fishermen Group is more maximized on indicators that are quite implemented and not implemented.

Abstract

 Keberlanjutan industri minyak kelapa sawit menjadi isu yang kompleks dan kontroversial, mengingat dampaknya terhadap lingkungan dan sosial. Penelitian ini menggali praktik Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dalam konteks keberlanjutan industri minyak kelapa sawit di Provinsi Riau. Dengan menggunakan metodologi kualitatif, penelitian ini melakukan tinjauan pustaka komprehensif yang mengutip beragam sumber seperti jurnal akademis, situs web, dan laporan resmi pemerintah terkait CSR dan keberlanjutan sektor minyak kelapa sawit. Analisis dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan Nvivo 12 Plus sebagai alat kunci. Temuan penelitian menerangi beragam pendekatan CSR yang diadopsi oleh perusahaan minyak kelapa sawit di Provinsi Riau, meliputi praktik pertanian berkelanjutan, perlindungan integritas lingkungan dan keanekaragaman hayati, pemberdayaan masyarakat, penguatan infrastruktur dan akses ke layanan penting, penerapan standar transparansi dan sertifikasi, serta investasi dalam riset dan inovasi. Implementasi inisiatif CSR memainkan peran penting dalam memajukan keberlanjutan industri minyak kelapa sawit di wilayah ini. Inisiatif ini menjadi mekanisme penting untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan yang merugikan, meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat lokal, memupuk kepercayaan di kalangan pemangku kepentingan, dan mendorong pembangunan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan. Namun, perlu diakui bahwa implementasi program CSR masih memiliki tantangan, sehingga Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) sebaiknya mendorong pemerintah untuk menerapkan regulasi yang mendukung serta menerapkan pengawasan yang ketat.Abstract: The sustainability of the palm oil industry stands as a multifaceted and contentious matter, given its profound environmental and social repercussions. This study delves into Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices within the context of the palm oil industry's sustainability in Riau Province. Employing a qualitative methodology, this research conducts a comprehensive literature review drawing from diverse sources such as academic journals, websites, and official government reports concerning CSR and the sustainability of the palm oil sector. The analysis leverages Nvivo 12 Plus as a key tool. The research findings illuminate a varied landscape of CSR approaches adopted by palm oil companies in Riau Province, encompassing sustainable agricultural practices, safeguarding environmental integrity and biodiversity, fostering community empowerment, bolstering infrastructure and access to crucial services, embracing transparency and certification standards, and investing in research and innovation. Notably, the implementation of CSR initiatives plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainability within the palm oil industry in this region. These initiatives serve as crucial mechanisms for mitigating adverse environmental impacts, uplifting local communities, cultivating trust among stakeholders, and fostering sustainable economic development. However, it must be acknowledged that the implementation of this CSR program presents challenges, the House of Representatives (DPR) should motivate the government to implement accommodative regulations and supervisory measures.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat ini merupakan hasil kompetisi Hibah Dikti Skema Pemberdayaan Berbasis Kewirausahaan Ruang Lingkup Pemberdayaan Mitra Usaha Produk Unggulan Daerah tahun 2024. Alasan Pemilihan topik atau pentingnya topik pengabdian ini karena kerupuk Sagu merupakan produk unggulan Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau yang sudah terkenal dan sudah ada sejak tahun 1983. Sehingga sangat perlu dikembangkan dan dilestarikan.   UMKM Kerupuk Sagu Uwit (mitra 1) dan Kerupuk Sagu Sina (mitra 2) menjadi mitra pada pengabdian masyarakat ini. UMKM Kerupuk Sagu Uwit merupakan salah satu UMKM tertua di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi karena sudah memproduksi kerupuk sagu sejak tahun 2000an dan UMKM kerupuk sagu sina sudah berproduksi sejak tahun 2020 dan sudah terdaftar sebagai UMKM sejak tahun 2023.  Permasalahan PkM ini yaitu belum adanya Standar Operasional Prosedur dan pembagian tugas yang jelas, tidak adanya pembukuan laba rugi secara administrastif dan kurangnya mengelola antara pendapatan usaha dengan biaya pribadi sehingga menyebabkan tidak adanya biaya untuk pengembangan usaha seperti tidak adanya biaya promosi, pelatihan karyawan dll. Permasalahan lainnya juga belum ada pengurusan PIRT dan Sertifikat Halal.  Metode PkM ini adalah melakukan tahapan Sosialisasi mengenalkan program PkM kepada mitra Pelatihan, memberikan pelatihan pembuatan SOP dan Job Desk-Penerapan teknologi, menerapkan teknologi Excel dalam pembuatan keuangan-Pendampingan & evaluasi, pengurusan PIRT dan Sertifikat Halal- Keberlanjutan program. Hasil PkM ini berjalan dengan sukses dengan antusias mitra yang tinggi, ada peningkatan pengetahuan sebelumnya yang belum bisa membuat SOP, Job Desk dan pembukuan laba rugi setelah kegiatan UMKM sudah bisa membuat adminstrasi tersebut. Selanjutnya juga  tim PkM membantu pengurusan PIRT dan Sertifikat Halal UMKM Kerupuk Sagu Uwit dan Sina.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PTPN V in Pantai Raja Village, Perhentian Raja District, Kampar Regency, and identify the factors inhibiting its effectiveness. The research employs a qualitative approach, guided by the implementation theory, which includes six key indicators: standard policies and objectives, resources, characteristics of implementing agents, communication between organizations and implementing activities, social conditions, and attitude disposition of implementers. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed descriptively. The findings reveal that the implementation of CSR regulations in Pantai Raja Village is hindered by several factors, including the absence of the CSR Forum's role in program execution, limited communication between the company and local government, lack of transparency regarding the company's capacity to implement CSR programs, and insufficient coordination between stakeholders. Furthermore, weak communication and collaboration between the company, government, and local communities exacerbate the issue. Based on these findings, the study concludes that the CSR implementation by PTPN V in Pantai Raja Village is categorized as underperformed. Enhanced communication, transparency, and stakeholder collaboration are recommended to improve CSR program execution and achieve its developmental objectives effectively.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in addressing environmental challenges, particularly air pollution, by PT Pertamina (Persero) Refinery Unit II in Dumai City. The research aims to assess how the company’s CSR initiatives contribute to mitigating negative environmental impacts while fostering sustainable development in its operational area. Employing a qualitative research design, data were collected through interviews and document analysis, then processed using NVivo 12 for thematic analysis. The findings reveal that PT Pertamina’s CSR implementation is structured around three core strategies: leadership commitment, regional outreach, and stakeholder engagement. Among these, stakeholder engagement was identified as the most significant factor in strengthening the effectiveness of CSR practices, especially in building community trust and promoting cooperative problem-solving related to air pollution. The study also highlights that CSR is not merely a legal or ethical obligation but functions as a strategic mechanism for social welfare improvement and long-term business sustainability. However, this research is limited by its qualitative focus, which does not include direct environmental data or broad community-based surveys. Future studies are recommended to integrate quantitative environmental metrics and expand stakeholder representation to enhance the reliability and policy relevance of CSR evaluations in the context of environmental management.

Abstract

CSR as a form of corporate activity always demands social responsibility from companies. However, considering that the various types of CSR policies that currently exist have not been able to be implemented optimally by corporations, CSR policies need to be evaluated for systematic improvement. This research aims to determine the challenges companies face and how CSR policies can meet the policy evaluation criteria in Dumai City. This research uses qualitative research methods that explore challenges and evaluate CSR policies. Data analysis was conducted through the Nvivo 12 Plus application, sourced from interviews with each actor in Dumai City. This research found that the challenges companies face in CSR policies include the lack of a clear framework, lack of transparency and accountability, and difficulty balancing economic considerations with long-term needs. Then the evaluation of CSR policies in Dumai City is dominated by indicators of adequacy (21,62%) and equity (21,62%), followed by effectiveness (18,92%), responsiveness (16,22%), efficiency (13,51%), and accuracy (8.11%) which require optimal evaluation so that unclear rules regarding CSR policies can be improved systematically and able to achieve the important goals expected in the public sector.

Abstract

Tantangan utama dalam program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini terletak pada proses produksi yang masih bergantung pada peralatan yang bersifat tradisional, sehingga menyebabkan dalam proses pengerjaan memakan waktu yang lebih lama dan jumlah produksi menjadi terbatas. Permasalahan kedua berkaitan dengan aspek manajemen, khususnya belum tersedianya Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP), deskripsi tugas yang terstruktur, serta pencatatan keuangan yang bersifat sistematis, terutama untuk laporan laba rugi. Permasalahan ketiga berada pada aspek pemasaran, dimana mitra belum memanfaatkan perangkat digital seperti media sosial, platform e-commerce, atau aplikasi relevan lainnya untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar. Akibatnya, penjualan produk miniatur jalur masih terbatas hanya di wilayah desa tempat mitra berada. Pelaksanaan program Pengabdian kepada Masyakarat (PkM) ini melalui beberapa tahapan utama, yaitu sosialisasi, penyaluran bantuan peralatan produksi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, serta pengembangan keberlanjutan program. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan keberhasilan yang signifikan, tercermin dari tingginya antusiasme mitra yang terlibat. Kualitas dan serta kapasitas produksi mengalami peningkatan sekitar 50%, dari semula 5–15 unit per bulan menjadi 30–40 unit per bulan. Selain itu, mitra UMKM kini telah memiliki SOP dan juga sistem pencatatan laporan laba rugi. Produk miniatur jalur juga telah mulai dipasarkan secara daring melalui berbagai platform, serta dijual di toko oleh-oleh yang berada di Pekanbaru.
