Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of exogenous variables on endogenous variables, namely government spending and employment opportunities. This type of research is quantitative analysis using secondary data with a time series from 1993 to 2022 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Sumatra and Bank Indonesia (BI). The data analysis technique in this research uses a simple regression analysis model. The results of this research show that exogenous variables have a significant effect on endogenous variables in the equation model. The Government Expenditure variable has a significant effect on the employment opportunity variable. For this reason, it is necessary to increase government spending, so that there can be a coherent increase in economic growth. With an increase in government spending, job opportunities will expand.

Abstract

This type of research is quantitative analysis using secondary data with a time series from 1993 to 2022 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Sumatra and Bank Indonesia (BI). The data analysis technique in this research uses a multiple regression analysis model. The results of this research show that exogenous variables have a significant effect on endogenous variables in the equation model. The investment and government expenditure variables have a significant effect on the employment opportunity variable. For this reason, it is necessary to increase investment (PMA and PMDN) and government spending so that there is a coherent increase in economic growth. With the simultaneous increase in these two variables, it is hoped that job opportunities will expand

Abstract

Training on the use of AI and Canva in creating creative learning media for lecturers and teachers is a crucial skill for every lecturer and teacher. The use of technology in education is increasingly important with the development of the digital era. This research and activity aims to improve the ability of lecturers and teachers to design creative and engaging learning media through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and the graphic design application Canva. Through a practice-based training approach, participants are equipped with the knowledge and skills to utilize various AI features in compiling materials and using Canva to design interactive and visual learning media displays. The results of the activity show an increase in participants' creativity and efficiency in creating teaching materials, as well as an increased understanding of the use of digital technology to support the learning process. This activity is expected to encourage innovation and improve the quality of teaching in higher education and school environments.

Abstract

This article systematically examines the role of zakat, waqf, and Islamic financing in empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of ten journals published between 2021 and 2025 that are relevant to the topic. The results of the study indicate that these three Islamic social finance instruments have a significant contribution in supporting MSMEs through wealth redistribution mechanisms, the provision of interest-free business capital, training, and mentoring. Zakat functions not only as an obligatory act of worship but also as a source of productive funds for capital and business development. Waqf, especially in the form of cash waqf and innovative instruments such as Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS), plays a crucial role in long-term financing for MSMEs. Meanwhile, Islamic financing through the Micro Waqf Bank (BWM) model has successfully provided access to capital to MSMEs underserved by conventional banks. However, challenges such as low public literacy, lack of transparency, and limited synergy between institutions still hamper its optimal utilization. This article emphasizes the need for digitalization of fund management, innovation of social financial instruments, and cross-sector collaboration so that zakat, waqf, and sharia financing can play a greater role in strengthening MSMEs and realizing inclusive economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and deepen the use of information technology in education and social learning in schools and its impact on improving students' knowledge and motivation levels in social learning. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study with participants being teachers and high school students in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Research data were collected through interviews, observations, and documents. The findings of this study explain that the use of information technology such as online learning, the web, and social media in social learning provides an acceleration of socio-cultural change that has a positive impact on developing students' insights into broader learning materials, increasing students' knowledge of social materials and motivation in learning, which ultimately has an impact on social change in society. This study recommends that the use of information technology is very important in achieving learning objectives, developing knowledge and motivation. To achieve these goals, it is necessary to be supported by the ability and skills of teachers in utilizing technology in learning and the development of technological infrastructure in schools to support information technology-based social learning activities.
