Abstract

United Kingdom is a country that is predominantly by non-Muslim, but development of Islamic banking and finance is very good. This is evidenced by the operation of six full sharia bank and the sixteen banks that serve Islamic windows. Sukuk deals for investors is also growing as evidenced by the increasing demand on the London Stock Exchenge with a total of £51 billion. Likewise with takaful products, UK re/insurance markets that are transacting Islamic finance. As one of the largest insurance markets in the world, and the leading global centre for wholesale insurance and reinsurance, the UK has the potential to support the growth of takaful business in the coming years. The development of Islamic banking and finance did not escape from the multicultural population of the UK. From the research, UK residents both Muslims and non-Muslims showed 66% of respondents believe the Islamic financial system is suitable for western economic communities such as the UK. 65% of respondents understand the workings of Islamic banking differs from conventional banking workings. 60% of respondents agree Islamic banking relevant to all religions. 57% of respondents also knew of Islamic banking to give the profit, not the interest. This means that they responded positively to the products offered Islamic banking and finance. There are several factors that lead to Islamic banking and finance can be grown in the UK, there are: including the global expansion of Islamic financial, single banking and financial regulator, public policy and taxation, the establishment of the Islamic Bank of Britain, the excess liquidity in the Middle East, Islamic windows of regular banks, and the development of educational and training institutions in the UK. This paper will describe the history of Islamic banking and finance in the UK, its development, factors that support and the its future prospects for giving additional knowledge to the academics and practitioners.

Abstract

This research raises the problem of murabahah using wakalah contracts in murabahah transactions because side streaming often occurs by customers after disbursement of murabahah financing. This research aims to analyze how murabahah contracts are implemented and analyze how murabahah contracts are monitored in micro financing. Study of Bank Syariah Indonesia Pangkalpinang Branch Office. BSI applies murabahah financing products which are applied to micro financing which aims to enable members to own goods or business equipment to support business activities. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research using primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation. Respondents were bank leaders, micro marketing staff and operational staff. As for the data analysis method using the Miles and Huberman approach, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that in theory the murabahah bil wakalah contract carried out by BSI KC Pangkalpinang in financing micro businesses is in accordance with the DSN-MUI fatwa. The murabahah process with wakalah is to carry out a wakalah contract first. After that, enter into a murabahah contract. Murabahah which is applied to micro financing using murabahah bil wakalah often causes side streaming by customers when the bank is disbursed with a wakalah agreement.

Abstract

This research explains the problem of how business knowledge and family environment influence students' interest in entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is an important factor in the economic growth of a country. Entrepreneurs play a role in creating jobs, increasing competitiveness and encouraging innovation. This research method uses a type of quantitative research that uses primary data with a sample of 77 respondents. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis test, hypothesis testing and the research instrument uses SPSS version 22. The population in this research includes students from the 2020-2022 Sharia Banking study program at the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Economics, IAIN Syaik Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung, totaling 326 students. Meanwhile, this research sample had 77 respondents. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence based on the results of the t test with significant business knowledge, the t value is 18,876, while the t table with degrees of freedom of 80 at alpha 0.05 is 1,664, so that H1 is accepted, H0 is rejected or if you look at the significance it is 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, the Fcount value was 280.542. Thus Fcount (280.542) > Ftable 3.12, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted or if you see a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that the variables Business Knowledge and Family Environment simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the interest in entrepreneurship of Islamic banking study program students at IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung.

Abstract

Zakat plays a crucial role in enhancing social welfare and reducing poverty. This research aims to analyze the core challenges in collecting and distributing zakat funds in BAZNAS Bangka Belitung Province using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method. Key findings indicate that organizational aspects, human resources limitations, operational budget constraints, and weak monitoring mechanisms significantly hinder zakat management. The study recommends strategic solutions such as creating a mustahik database, enhancing human resource capabilities, adopting transparent monitoring systems, and diversifying funding sources. Implementing these strategies can potentially improve zakat management efficiency and effectiveness in reducing poverty in Bangka Belitung Province.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of location and knowledge on the interest in saving at Islamic banks among students of IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung. The variables in this research are location (X₁), knowledge (X₂), and saving interest (Y). The type of research used is quantitative research, employing primary data collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 91 students of IAIN SAS Bangka Belitung. The sampling method applied in this study is probability sampling, resulting in a sample of 91 respondents measured using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using SPSS Version 26 with the multiple linear regression analysis technique. The findings of this study indicate that: Location has a partial effect on the interest in saving at Islamic banks, with a t-value of 3.917 > t-table value of 1.987 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, thus H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected. Knowledge, partially, has no effect on the interest in saving at Islamic banks, with a t-value of 0.905 < t-table value of 1.987 and a significance value of 0.368 > 0.05, thus H₂ is rejected and H₀ is accepted. Location and knowledge, simultaneously, have an effect on the interest in saving at Islamic banks, with an F-value of 33.097 > F-table value of 3.10 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, thus H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted.
