Abstract

The lack of full guidance is due to the limited ability of foster mothers who have to look after many other foster children. Although it cannot be denied that orphanage institutions have certainly tried their best to help the development of their foster children. This is the reason why dedication must be carried out. This service aims to motivate orphanage children to continue learning to gain knowledge and insight into English. The method of implementing activities carried out by the service team is the training method. In the implementation process, this activity begins by explaining the material, which is then divided into groups for them to discuss the material provided. This service activity went well according to plan. Service members found several challenges but they could be overcome. Students are actively involved and participative during the activity

Abstract

Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM) adalah bagian dari Program Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang diinisiasi oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. PMM memungkinkan mahasiswa mengikuti semester di perguruan tinggi lain di Indonesia. Universitas Pendidikan Ganesa menjadi tuan rumah bagi mahasiswa dari luar Bali melalui PMM, dengan fokus pada penguatan persatuan dalam keberagaman budaya Bali dan kearifan lokal melalui modul Nusantara. Implementasi PMM 4 di Universitas Pendidikan Ganesa mencatat kegiatan kontribusi sosial di Desa Jineng Dalem, Singaraja, Bali. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan dampak positif kepada anak-anak SD setempat, meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan, dan memperkenalkan praktik pembuatan pupuk sederhana. Melalui edukasi, lomba, dan kegiatan seni, mahasiswa PMM 4 berupaya membangun kesadaran lingkungan pada generasi muda. Kegiatan ini menjadi contoh nyata dari upaya pendidikan non-formal yang menginspirasi masyarakat sekitar dan mendukung program MBKM untuk memperluas dampak positifnya pada masyarakat luas.

Abstract

Extensive reading has been continuously studied as a promising instructional method for improving students’ language proficiency, including reading proficiency, vocabulary acquisition, and grammar awareness. However, this practice still presents many challenges due to several factors. hence, this paper aims to critically review students’ extensive reading through problem-based learning with digital media in learning English. The present study is a meta–analysis by focusing on the Students’ Extensive Reading used digital media in learning English: problem-based learning. This study used 15 articles related to students’ extensive reading, digital media and problem-based learning (PBL). It was revealed that the implementation of digital extensive reading through those various digital or online platforms has been proven to be useful in supporting the success of EFL students’ digital extensive reading activities as well as the success of EFL students’ language learning. By using PBL showed that there are differences in the subjects’ advanced reading proficiency level as well as an increase in empathy soft skill before and after the implementation of the learning method. The integration of digital media and problem-based learning in extensive reading ushers in a new and significant era of English education. It makes the students to develop as independent learners who can successfully negotiate the complexity of the global language in improving their language proficiency. Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi dan internet memberikan kemudahan akses informasi, namun juga meningkatkan risiko penyalahgunaan data pribadi, terutama di kalangan pengguna media sosial. Artikel ini membahas pentingnya kesadaran akan keamanan data digital di era teknologi, dengan fokus pada masyarakat Desa Nanti Agung dan lingkungan MIN 01 Tebat Karai. kegiatanan ini menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Program sosialisasi dilaksanakan melalui edukasi menggunakan poster tentang langkah-langkah menjaga keamanan data pribadi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi efektif meningkatkan pemahaman responden tentang pentingnya melindungi data pribadi dari potensi ancaman seperti phishing dan penipuan online. Responden menjadi lebih waspada terhadap pesan mencurigakan yang meminta informasi pribadi. Artikel ini menekankan perlunya program edukasi berkelanjutan mengenai keamanan data digital, dengan menggunakan media komunikasi yang menarik seperti poster, video, dan infografis untuk mencapai audiens yang lebih luas. Kolaborasi antara lembaga pendidikan, pemerintah, dan masyarakat sangat disarankan untuk terus meningkatkan literasi digital dan keamanan data. Edukasi yang intensif diharapkan dapat meminimalisir risiko penyalahgunaan data pribadi di dunia digital yang semakin berkembang pesat.

Abstract

Pertanian didesa bogor baru masih sangat berpengaruh terhadap pupuk kimia yang mana dapat merusak struktur dan kualitas tanah. Oleh sebab itu alternatif untuk mengurangi penggunaan dari pupuk kimia adalah meningkatkan kesadaran petani untuk memanfaatkan bahan-bahan organik alami untuk dijadikan zat pengatur tumbuh ZPT alami dari kulit bawang merah, merupakan salah satu solusi alternatif untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian secara ramah lingkungan, diyakini dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman, memperbaiki struktur tanah, dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada bahan kimia. Kegiatan pendampingan ini melewati beberapa tahapan yang pertama diberikannya pengenalan atau pengertian zat pengatur tumbuh ZPT, kedua pendampingan cara pembuatan zat pengatur tumbuh ZPT alami dari kulit bawang merah, dan ketiga cara pengaplikasian atau penggunaan zat pengatur tumbuh ZPT alami ke tanaman, kepada masyarakat desa bogor baru. Hasil dari pendampingan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan petani desa bogor baru, dalam menggunakan produk ramah lingkungan serta mendukung keberlanjutan pertanian didesa bogor baru. Dalam kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa Masyarakat desa bogor baru yang hadir dalam kegiatan tersebut telah mampu memproduksi atau membuat zat pengatur tumbuh ZPT alami dari kulit bawang merah secara mandiri.

Abstract

This study survey of recent research on Skimming and Scanning Technique Toward Students’ Reading Comprehension. Skimming and scanning techniques can be particularly valuable, as they enable students to efficiently locate relevant information and synthesize content from multiple sources. The present study is a meta–analysis, which synthesized the data of 15 empirical studies. It was designed to explore the impact of skimming and scanning techniques toward students’ reading comprehension, and the implications for instructional strategies in diverse educational settings. The results revealed that: (1) these techniques can significantly enhance students' reading comprehension, promote greater engagement, and cater to diverse learning needs; (2) the integration of skimming and scanning techniques should be prioritized to equip students with the skills necessary for navigating an increasingly complex information landscape

Abstract

This study was aimed to investigate what technique used by lecturer in teaching speaking of the second semester students at Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. This research was qualitative research. The data were collected from the handy cam, observation checklist, and interview. The finding of the research indicated: the one lecturer applied six techniques, they were asking question, pair group discussion, situational practice, dialogue, role play, and picture discussion. Lecturer two only applied two techniques, they were speeches and debate. The most dominant technique was pair group discussion technique,
