Abstract

This study aimed to develop a mini dictionary of explanatory text terms as a learning reference material in learning Indonesian language for students of class XI SMAS Bina Saudara Medan. The population of this study were students of class XI IPA and XI IPS totally 55 students. The sample was students of class XI IPA totally 30 students. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and questionnaires. This study used Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall learning model with 10 stages, namely research and data collection, planning, developing initial products, field trials, product revisions, field testers, and final product revisions. The results of this study indicated that the mini dictionary of terms in class XI IPA SMAS Bina Bersuara Medan that gets a feasible category with a percentage as 84.53%. Based on the results of the assessment of material experts I, the criteria for "Feasible" or 77% and material experts II obtained "Feasible" or 83%, the results of the research of design experts I obtained "Feasible" or 80% and design experts II obtained "Very Feasible"or 89%, the results of the teacher's assessment obtained "Feasible" or 80%. Field implementation tests with 30 students of class XI IPA SMAS Bina Saudara Medan obtained "Feasible" or 84.53%. Based on the results of the trial conducted on 30 students, it can be seen that there is an increase in the learning process by using this learning media that can be categorized as very effective to be used in learning.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran visual dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah. Penggunaan media visual dalam pembelajaran dianggap sebagai bahan ajar yang ekonomis, menyenangkan, dan mudah disiapkan dan digunakan oleh guru maupun siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa pengaruhnya media pembelajaran visual pada kelas X di SMKS PAB 3 Medan khususnya oada materi negosiasi. Sumber data penelitian ini berdasarkan wawancara dengan salah satu guru yang berada di sekolah SMKS PAB 3 Medan. Data penelitian ini berupa pengisian quesioner yang diberikan oleh peneliti kepada guru yang merupakan responden. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dengan bantuan quesioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan digunakannya media pembelajaran media visual ini siswa lebih aktif dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, siswa juga merasa senang dengan media visual ini karena pembalajaran di kelas tidak monoton dan siswa juga dapat bertukar pemikiran sehingga menambah pemahaman mengenai materi negosiasi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of feasibility and effectiveness of video learning media products on the Indonesian material "Text of the Observation Report". This research uses a 4D development method by Thiagarajan which consists of four stages, namely define, design, development, and dissemination. The instrument in this study used questionnaires addressed to material expert validators and learning media experts, Indonesian teachers and a number of 23 grade X MIA1 MAS students of the Univa Medan Project to determine the analysis of student needs on learning media. The data analysis technique used in calculating the percentage of indicators to determine the feasibility of learning media is quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of video learning media feasibility validation based on validation research by material I were obtained 88% got the value criteria "Very Feasible", the results of the material II validation assessment were obtained 85% got the value criteria  "Very Feasible" Field implementation test with 23 students of grade X MIA1 MAS Univa Medan Project obtained 88% getting the value criteria "Very Feasible.The stage of the results of the effectiveness of teaching materials for lecture texts assisted by theme card media was carried out by means of evaluation tests on question sheets to be able to measure the effectiveness of learning media. The results of the evaluation obtained the criteria of "Very Effective" value with a percentage (93%).
