The research aimed at describe the improvement of comprehension reading skill by Using Generating Interacting Schemata and Text (GIST) Method in Grade IV of SD Negeri 13 Pasar Kambang Kecamatan Lengayang Regency of South Pesisir. Research subjects were teachers (practitioners) and 20 students. The average value of the class at the pre-cycle stage of cycle I 65.00 (enough) in cycle II increases to 75.00 (B), the stage when reading cycle I 68.00 (enough) in cycle II increases to 79.00 (B) , Stage pascabaca (65.00) in cycle II increased to 74.00 (B). This study aims to improve the skills of writing student observation reports with experiential learning models for fifth-grade students of SDN 05 Air Tawar Barat at the pre-writing, writing and post-writing stages. This type of research is Classroom Action Research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research subjects were teachers and fifth-grade students of SDN 05 Air Tawar Barat with data collection techniques in the form of observation and portfolio assessment. The results of the study indicate an increase in the implementation and student learning outcomes. Assessment of the implementation of teacher activities in the first cycle averaged 75%, in the second cycle an average of 92.9%. Assessment of the implementation of student activities in the first cycle averaged 75%, in the second cycle an average of 92.9%. The results of the recapitulation of student scores in the first cycle with a class average of 74.9%, in the second cycle the results of the recapitulation were 83.7%. Thus it is stated that the experiential learning model can improve the writing skills of student observation reports.

Writing this article aims to determine the effectiveness of Reciprocal Teaching strategy and KWL on the students' grade comprehension skills of grade VI SDN 30Cengkeh academic year 2017/2018.Metode used in this research is quasi experiment. The population in this study were all students of class VI SDN 30 Cengkeh, amounting to 69 students with a sample of class VIA and VIB, each consisting of 35 and 34 students. Sampling using a saturated sampling technique. The results showed that there is effectiveness of Reciprocal Teaching and KWL strategy on reading comprehension skills of grade VI students of SDN 30 Cengkeh Padang. This is evidenced from the t-test with a significant level of 5% obtained tcount (0.034)> ttable (1.667) so that H0 is accepted. This research aims to know whether or not the significant relationship between reading interest and learning result in learning subject of social knowledge in fifth grade at SD Negeri se-Gugus I, Sungai Pua District, Agam Regency. The method of this research is correlation. . Sampling data is taken by cluster random sampling technique. The sample of this study amounted to 55 people with a population of 220 people. Based on the data analysis that had been collected, it is known that there is a positive significant relationship between reading interest and learning result of social subject in fifth grade SDN Se-Gugus Sungai Pua District, Agam Regency. This is proved by counted-r is 0.724 > 0.2656 , and the significant value is 0.000,<0.05. It means that every enhancement of reading interest is followed by the enhancement of learning result in learning social knowledge, and vice versa Keywords: learning interest, learning outcomes, IPS

This research aims to describe the application of the scientific approach in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools. This research is motivated because there are still many mistakes in implementing integrated thematic learning in elementary schools. This research uses a literature study method (library research) through a literature review to strengthen the analysis of the various sources used. This research begins with formulating a research problem followed by analyzing the relevant research results. Data collection in this literature study was carried out using non-tests, namely by searching electronic journals through reputable journals, books, theses, and online journals that are relevant to the application of the scientific approach. The keywords used for journal search are the Scientific Approach, Integrated Thematic. The results obtained from the research will be analyzed by the author using the content analysis method. From the results of the research analysis of 15 relevant journals, it shows that the scientific approach is effectively applied in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools.

The purpose of this research is to describe the application of the Inquiry Learning model in integrated thematic learning based on several previous studies, which will be observed by how much is the improvements of student learning outcomes after the learning model is applied. This research is motived by the low student learning outcomes of the students in elementary school because of many teachers that still not applied an innovative learning model and the application of integrated thematic learning characteristics that are still not visible, teachers are still using the conventional teacher-centered learning models so that students are less active in the learning process. The inquiry learning model is the learning series activities which is focused on the critical thinking and finding the answer by itself from the concerned problems. The method of this research is the study of literature or library research. By collecting 15 accredited journals that are relevant to the topic, then analyzed how great is the improvement of student learning outcomes after the Inquiry Learning method is applied. From the results of data analysis shows that the Inquiry Learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes.

This study aims to describe the students’ narrative writing skill through the use of the I models in Grade V A of Elementary School Numbern 23 Marapalam, Padang. This is a classroom action research with qualitativeand quantitative approaches. The object of this study is the class teacher and 27 students of Grade V A of Elementary School Number 23 Marapalam, Padang. Student learning outcomes in the cycle I of the prewriting stage were 74,51% increasing in the cycle II to 86,64%. At the time of writing the cycle I 71,33% increased in the cycle II to 83,25%. In the post-writing stage of the cycle I 70,83% increased in the cycle II to 86,57%. The results of this study indicate that students’ narrative writing skills increased from the cycle I to obtain an average scre of 72,23% in th cycle II increased to 85,16%. Based on these result, it can be conclude that learning to write narrative using the Circuit Learning model can increase.

This study aims to determine the influence of Question Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy on the comprehension skills of primary school students. This type of research is quasi experiment in the form of Non-Equivalent Postest-Only Control Group Design. The population of this research is all students of Grade VI of Elementary School of Sapih River Cluster. With sample cluster random sampling technique that is as much as 8 SD. After the normality and homogeneity test, in all schools have normal data. So the researchers classify (cluster) population that can be sampled is a school with normal data and homogeneous, that is as much as 4 schools. Then the draw was made and it was found that SDN 27 Sungai Sapih was the sample for the researcher. Data analysis was done by using lilifors test. The results showed that there is an influence of QAR strategy on reading comprehension skills of grade 6 students of SDN 27 Sungai Sapih Padang. This is evidenced from the t-test (t-test) with a significant level α = 5% obtained tcount (9.0824)> ttable (2.0106) so that H1 is accepted. The writing scientific papers aims to analyze the application of the Speed Reading method in integrated thematic learning seen from the increase in student learning outcomes in elementary schools. This writing is based on the background of the low student learning outcomes in elementary schools because there are still many teachers who do not apply innovative learning models and the application of integrated thematic learning that has not been seen, teachers still use conventional teacher-centered learning models so that students are less active in the learning process. The Speed Reading method is one way to help students so that students can understand the reading text quickly. This scientific writing method uses literature studies (Library Research). By collecting 15 reputable journals with the topic, then analyzing the extent to which student learning outcomes have improved by applying the Speed Reading method. From the results of the data analysis, it shows that the Speed Reading method can improve student learning outcomes with varying amounts of improvement.
