Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in learning outcomes, teacher and student activities and the responses of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Peudada through the Auditory, Intellectually, Repatition (AIR) learning model on various styles of material. The approach used is a qualitative approach. This type of research is class action research (classroom action research). The data used are data from cycle test results, observation results and student response questionnaire results. The source of the data in this study were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Peudada. Data Collection Techniques namely Tests, Observations (observations) and Questionnaires. Based on the results of the research that there was an increase in the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Peudada by using the Auditory, Intellectual, Repetition (AIR) Learning model in the material of various styles, in cycle I obtained 39% complete, cycle II obtained 89% complete . The activities of teachers and students in class IV SD Negeri 4 Peudada using the Auditory, Intellectual, Repetition (AIR) Learning model in the material of various styles, namely the activities of teachers in cycle I, action I was 73%, action II was 80.5%. Cycle II action I was 87%, action II was 98% while student activities cycle I action I was 71.17% and action II 80%. Cycle II action I 87% and action II 98%. The response of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Peudada by using the Auditory, Intellectual, Repetition (AIR) Learning model on the material of various styles in cycle I and cycle II, it was found that generally students strongly agreed and agreed with the learning activities in cycle I and cycle II

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi penyesuaian makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya di kelas VI SD N 2 Jangka. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang terdiri atas dua siklus dan setiap siklus dilaksanakan dua kali tindakan pembelajaran, dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Setiap akhir siklus dilaksanakan tes akhir siklus untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa disetiap siklus, serta pada akhir pembelajaran siklus I dan siklus II diberikan angket kepada siswa untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Adapun sumber data penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI SD N 2 Jangka yang berjumlah 18 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa: 1) tes berbentuk pilihan ganda, untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI SD N 2 Jangka pada materi penyesuaian makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya; 2) observasi, untuk mencatat peristiwa yang terjadi saat pelaksanaan tindakan; dan 3) angket, untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai sikap dan tanggapan siswa terhadap pelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis statistik sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan guru di kelas VI SD diperoleh nilai rata-rata siklus I sebesar 64%, karena belum mencapai kriteria yang ditetapkan maka siklus dilanjutkan. Lalu, pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 89% dan telah mencapai kriteria yang ditetapkan. Hasil Observasi siklus I terhadap aktivitas guru diperoleh persentase 81% mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 90%. Sedangkan dari pihak siswa pada siklus I yaitu 82% menjadi 93% pada siklus II. Respon siswa senang belajar dengan model CTL menyatakan 89% dan siswa yang tidak senang belajar menyatakan 11%. Maka, model pembelajaran CTL pada materi penyesuaian makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya mendapat respon yang baik dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The problem faced by the teachers at the MTsS Nurul Qur’an Bireuen Districts, Aceh is lack of the teachers’ knowledge and creativity in developing the teaching media as the tools of teaching learning process in the classroom. Based on the problem above, the community service aims to give the new knowledge and experience for the teachers at MTsS Nurul Qur’an Bireuen Districts in developing the teaching media by their creativity using the plastic bag. The method used in this community service was giving training to the teachers which come from the different subjects. The training was done in two sessions for a day. In this activity, the teachers were trained to make the teaching media from the used plastic bag. The result of the community service activity was done successfully and the teachers got the new knowledge in creating the teaching media.
