Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of social media use on learning behavior and mental health of students at SD Inpres 1 North Halmahera. This study examines how social media affects students' learning behavior and mental health. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The data for this study were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were 40 students at SD Inpres 1 North Halmahera. Meanwhile, the research data collected were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that students aged 9 to 12 years, especially grades 4, 5, and 6, had a significant tendency to use social media every day, with grade 6 recording the largest number of users. There is a clear gender difference where female students are more active in using social media than male students. The most frequently used platforms are Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and TikTok. WhatsApp serves as the main tool for communication and academic discussion. Although social media provides several benefits such as access to learning materials, excessive use can interfere with students' learning focus. Many students spend more time socializing on social media than completing academic assignments which has the potential to reduce students' academic achievement. Dependence on social media can also result in difficulty concentrating and negative impacts on mental health, such as stress and anxiety.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of inclusive education and teacher motivation on the social sensitivity skills of students with special needs in public elementary schools throughout Ternate City. This study with a quantitative approach uses data analyzed through regression tests. The results of the study indicate that inclusive education has a significant and positive influence on the social sensitivity skills of students with special needs, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05). In addition, teacher motivation is also proven to have a significant and positive influence on the social sensitivity skills of students with special needs, with a significance value of 0.004 (<0.05). Simultaneously, inclusive education and teacher motivation together provide a significant and positive influence on the social sensitivity skills of students with special needs, with a significance value of 0.030 (<0.05). This finding implies the importance of implementing quality inclusive education and increasing teacher motivation in developing the social sensitivity skills of students with special needs.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the strategy of cooperative administrators in improving the welfare of Bobato cooperative members. This research is a type of qualitative research. Research data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were 20 cooperative members and administrators of the Bobato cooperative. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The data analyzed through percentage analysis via surveys on research subjects was strengthened by the results of analysis from in-depth interviews and KSP Bobato documents. The research results show that the cooperative management strategy is to provide the best service to members, make it easier for members to fulfill their needs, such as providing loans to cooperative members at low interest rates, providing regular counseling, training and education for members, and continuing members' studies. cooperatives at undergraduate and graduate levels. Meanwhile, the distribution of remaining business profits received by each member experiences an increasing trend every year. So that every member of the cooperative can feel the value of the economic benefits received by each member of the Babato Savings and Loans Cooperative which is positive for the members

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has changed the educational paradigm, including economic education in universities. One of the innovations that has emerged is the virtual laboratory, which allows students and lecturers to carry out practices and experiments without the need for a physical laboratory. This article explores the benefits, challenges, and implementation of virtual laboratories in the context of economics education. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach and applies the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items For Systematic Reviews and Meta Analysis) method for data collection. Data analysis was carried out through critical appraisal of selected literature. Virtual laboratories allow students to engage in market simulations, economic policy experiments, data analysis, and economic modeling. This not only deepens theoretical understanding, but also develops practical skills such as data analysis and decision making. Lecturers can use virtual laboratories to increase teaching effectiveness and provide faster feedback to students. However, the implementation of virtual laboratories faces a number of challenges such as adequate technological infrastructure, development of relevant content, integration with existing teaching methods, effective assessment, and professional training for educators. Overall, virtual laboratories have great potential to improve the quality of economics education by providing a more interactive and in-depth learning experience for students, and preparing them to face future economic challenges.
